irishboy9780's barrows guide (kinda)

This is my way of doing barrows yes this way might not be best but it is best for me atm because of my levels and quests!!! ok heres my guide to doing barrows... remeber this is my way of doing it and may not suit you depending on levels or how much money you have. ok heres what i reccomend to wear (first item is what i wear)

gloves-dragon guantlets/combat bracelet
boots-dragon/bandos/rune
ring-ring of life/explorers/berzerker

ok heres my inv
4 prayer potions(4)
spade(required!!)
teletab(highly recomended)
restore potion(4)
super attack potion(4)
super strength potion (4)
dds/dmace
18 monkfish

notes on inv- i use on average 2 prayer pots per trip but i bring 4 in case of emergency,need spade to get into tombs,teletab i use varrock but any of them is good,restore potion is used because of ahrim's magic attacks that lower cb stats,super attack+super strength hit higer lol, dds and dmace for specs, and the rest of my inv is food i use monks but they can be subsituted for higher food

quests- completed preist in peril and started or completed nature spirit

walk(dont run unless you are bringing a familair to restore energy or energy pots) from varrock to mort myre swamp. enter gate now turn on run(this will help save your food from ghasts) and run south east along the vegatation until you find a break in it go trough and board swampy boat.now go across bridge and run/walk north until you hit a deserted town then walk east.

this will bring you to barrows. now heres my way of killing brothers. one brother will have his coffin lead to tunnels sorry i will not be explaining in depth about tunnels. (if you want to know more about the tunnels go to runscape headquaters.com and go to minigames-barrows they offer more info on tunnels and puzzles and alternative guides to doing barrows) also in all of the barrows tombs you will lose around 10 prayer for every 10 seconds you are in the tomb.

1) i go to center mound and dig with spade this will bring me to ahrims crypt i turn on pray magic and kill ahrims then exit.

2) i go to the north east mound and dig with spade this is dharoks tomb turn on protect melle and keep it on the whole fight even if he looks likes hes dead. DO NOT TURN OFF PRAY UNTIL HE HITS THE FLOOR =P.the reason for this is that dharoks gets stronger the less hp he has he has been known to hits 70s and can 1 hot ko most people. to keep this from happening watch your prayer when its under 10 drink a ppot. dharoks can be the most deadliest barrows brother but if done correctly he is harmless.

3) i go to south east mound,dig with spade.this is guthans tomb. praying is optional but reccomended though i dont do it often. guthans spec is that when he hits he heals number of damage done. i rarely have a problem with this though

4) now i go to the south tomb,dig with spade.this is karils tomb. karils is the only ranging brother and can be the easiest or the hardest. protect range throughout whole fight.although karils max is only 19 he hits 15's very often. i made the mistake of fighting him w/o praying even though i killed him i couldnt continue and had to telly due to the fact i had used up almost all my food.

5) dig at south west mound. this is torags tomb he is a meller and can hit 23's altough this is rare and he doesnt hit often. his spec is nothing to worry about since all it does is drain your run energy if it hits. his defence is the problem though torags is in a sense a tank he has the best defence of all the barrows brothers and can sometimes cause issues due to it. i ussaly dont have problem with him and i dont pray because of his low accuracy.

6) dig north west mound. this is the tomb of my my arch nemsis and personally the hardest of all the barrows brothers-verac.verac's spec is the one to most worry about. his special is that he can hit trough both protect prayers and armor. i dont pray at him because i personnaly find it a waste of a ppot because he hits me so dang much with his spec. verac hits 20s and can be very annoying.

ok in one of these tombs when u click on the coffin you will find a message that says something like this- "you find a tunnel do you wish to enter?" choose yes and like in the tombs you will lose prayer for every 10 second you are in the tunnels. there will be various monsters in the tunnels including the barrows brother who's tomb u came from (when verac's tomb in tunnel verac will be in tunnels).the brother will automatically appear when you open a door or the chest. i believe you must kill the barrows brother to raid the chest im not positive though. there are 4 rooms in the tunnels that are full of various monsters. these are rats,spiders,skeltons and bloodworms. one of these rooms will have a puzzle door leading to chest room. use rhq for puzzles and then enter chest room.if you have killed the barrows brother you are free to loot the chest!! once you loot the chest the ceiling will start to crumple and after little while will start to damge you telly out and repeat the process! =P

lol. hey what do u recommend 4 me? how many kcs do u need to get to get a nice drop?

the best kc is between 6-15 contray to the belief that the higher kc better the drop

OLD TOPIC but who cares lmfao I remember when i begged for this.

kc after 11 doesnt affect anything, 11 killcount is proven to give you best rewards.

actually thats false the more kc = more runes proven by jagex theres is no know exact kc that will give you the best rewards. though killing all 6 of the barrows brothers gives you a highest chance of getting a barrows item. though once i was attacking karils and accidentaly looted the chest and got guthans chainskirt =P.
