This is a Doctor Who RPG board and canons can be found any place and anywhere. Please check out wikipedia for a compleat list. Any canons are welcomed. If you want to play another incanation of The Doctor, PM me first. And I'll probably allow it. I think it would be fun for the Tenth Doctor to run into his past Incanations even though supposedly and technically by Time Lord Law it's not allowed. I will not allow future incantions of The Doctor for obvious reasons. The list of canons is extensive and this is just a short list. A short discription will follow of all the Canons Reserved Canons will be italiced, coloredTaken Canons will be crossed outHere is the list of other avaliable canons. The Doctor (present 10th incanation) Rose Tyler When Rose met the Doctor, she was working as a shop assistant at Henrik's department store in Regent Street, London. She also had a boyfriend named Mickey Smith and lived in a council flat with her mother Jackie. Rose left school without taking her A-levels but did win the bronze medal in an under-sevens gymnastics competition at her junior school. Her father, Pete Tyler, died in 1987 in a car accident, the year after Rose was born.
One night after the shop closed she encountered mannequins coming to life in the basement of the building. The Autons were about to dispose of her when the Doctor saved her life, although he went on to destroy the building in the process, depriving Rose of her job. She went on to aid the Doctor in tracking down the hiding place of the Nestene Consciousness that was animating the Autons and subsequently helped defeat its plans of world conquest. She then joined the Doctor on his travels in the TARDIS. More info on Rose Tyler Captain Jack Harkness The Doctor's companion Rose first met Jack during the London Blitz in 1941, where he was posing as an American volunteer in the Royal Air Force. Rose and the Doctor had come to that time and place in pursuit of an alien cylinder that had crashed on Earth. Rose had accidentally hitched a ride on a barrage balloon and was about to fall to her death when Jack rescued her with his ship's tractor beam. Jack's ship a stolen time ship of Chula design was capable of concealing itself by turning invisible, and included in its systems nanogenes, which could treat wounds.
Jack was a former Time Agent who left the organisation after discovering that two years of his memory had been removed, going in search of them and becoming a con man. Mistaking Rose and the Doctor for Time Agents as well, he tried to fraudulently pass off the cylinder as an abandoned alien warship with a view to selling it to them. Jack believed that the cylinder was nothing but a hollow and empty medical vessel, unaware that it was actually filled with billions of nanogenes, which began transforming everything they came into contact with.
Jack assisted Rose and the Doctor in deactivating the nanogenes, but lost his own ship when he transported a German bomb on board to save the others from being killed by it. The TARDIS managed to rescue him before the bomb blew up his vessel, and he was taken on board as the newest member of the crew.
It became apparent that Jack was (at least) bisexual, an orientation which the Doctor pointed out was more common in the 51st century, when mankind would deal with multiple alien species and sexuality would become more flexible. More info on Captain Jack Harkness The Master He is a renegade Time Lord who is the greatest individual enemy of the Doctor. A would-be universal conqueror, the Master's stated goal is to control the universe. with a secondary objective of eliminating the Doctor. His most distinctive ability is that of hypnotising people by fixing them with an intense stare, often accompanied by his catchphrase, "I am the Master, and you will obey me."
Unlike the Doctor, the Master's TARDIS has a functioning chameleon circuit, allowing it to change its external appearance to better fit in with its environment. When he uses it, the Master's favoured weapon is his Tissue Compression Eliminator, which reduced its targets to doll-size, usually killing them in the process. The Master also has a fondness for disguise, and sometimes operated under aliases which are variations on his title, such as "Colonel Masters" the Reverend Mr. Magister and Professor Thascales. The Master managed to get out of the Time War. More info on The Master Micky Smith Mickey's father, Jackson Smith, left for Spain when he was very young. Mickey's mother could not cope with raising him alone and left him to be raised by his blind grandmother, Rita-Anne; however, Mickey's mother remained a sufficient part of Mickey's life that when Rose believed Mickey to be dead, she said, "I'll have to tell his mother." A few years prior to the events of Rose, Rita-Anne died after slipping on a damaged carpet and falling down the stairs. Mickey felt responsible for her death as he did not repair the carpet, despite frequent reminders.
When Rose, while investigating the Doctor, went to visit a conspiracy theorist named Clive, Mickey was captured by the Nestene Consciousness, which created a living plastic facsimile of him to gather intelligence about the Doctor. Kept a captive by the Nestenes to maintain the duplicate, he was overwhelmed by the revelation that alien life existed and was in a state of paralysed panic throughout most of the Doctor and Rose's final confrontation with the Nestenes.
Mickey's initial cowardice (and his panicky description of the Doctor as an "alien... a thing") did not impress the Doctor, and when the Doctor offered to take on Rose as his newest companion, he pointedly said that Mickey was not invited. More info on Mickey Smith Jackie Tyler Jackie Tyler, maiden name Jacqueline Andrea Suzette Prentice, (born February 1, 1967). Jackie first met the Doctor after the department store at which Rose worked was destroyed. When the Doctor arrived at the flat Jackie and Rose share, Jackie attempted to flirt with the Doctor, to little avail. This first encounter set the stage for a sometimes antagonistic relationship between the two. During the final phase of the Auton invasion, several Autons attacked Jackie, but her life was spared when Rose and the Doctor managed to destroy the physical form of the Nestene Consciousness.
The Doctor enabled Rose's mobile phone to call Jackie from five billion years in the future. From Jackie's point of view, this phone call took place before the events of Rose.
When Rose left with the Doctor in the TARDIS, she intended to be back within hours. However, when Rose returned to London in Aliens of London, she discovered that twelve whole months had elapsed. Out of her mind with worry, Jackie had in the intervening year organised a poster campaign to search for her missing daughter, and even accused Rose's boyfriend Mickey of murdering her. When Rose returned, Jackie was furious with the Doctor for taking her away. Jackie also could not understand why Rose would not tell her where she had been, but discovered the truth when she saw the TARDIS. She was also nearly killed by a Slitheen disguised as a policeman, and began to truly appreciate how dangerous Rose's new lifestyle was when the Doctor ended the Slitheen's plans by calling a missile strike down on 10 Downing Street where he and Rose were trapped at the time. More info on Jackie Tyler Pete Tyler Full name Peter Alan Tyler. Pete was born on September 15, 1954 and died on November 7, 1987 in a hit-and-run accident when Rose was about six months old.
Rose asked the Doctor to take her back to 1987 so she could witness her father's death. Jackie had told Rose as a child that her father had died alone, and Rose wanted to be there for him. When she was faced with the reality of what she was seeing, however, Rose impulsively rushed forward and saved Pete from being run down, changing history and causing a temporal paradox that damaged time. This attracted the destructive Reapers, who began to "sterilise" the wound in time by devouring everything in sight.
Pete eventually figured out that Rose was his daughter, and on listening to her describe what an ideal father he had been, also realised that Rose was lying to cover up the fact that he was supposed to be dead. The presence of Rose awakened Pete's paternal instincts; to save everyone and restore history, he deliberately stepped in front of the car that should have killed him. His sacrifice dismissed the Reapers and put time back on track, although history did change to a small extent this time the driver did not flee the scene, and Rose was there to hold Pete's hand while he was dying. Pete died with a smile while looking on his daughter's face.
A parallel Earth version of Pete Tyler In this universe, not only is Pete still alive, but his Vitex health drinks have become hugely popular, and he is rich and successful (although he privately admitted to the President of Great Britain that they are just fizzy drinks). However, he and Jackie had not had children, although they had a pet terrier named Rose and were separated. In addition, his company had been bought by Cybus Corporation, leaving him relatively powerless. More info on Pete Tyler Emperor Dalek or Davros Although the Dalek Emperor ended up being killed by Rose Tyler before The Doctor's tenth regeneration. The Daleks always have an Emperor or a supereme Dalek who the other Daleks worship as a god. More Info on Emperor Dalek Cyber Controller (our universe) Some Cybermen are given titles, being credited as "Cyber Leader" (or variants thereof), "Cyber Lieutenant", "Cyber Scout" or the "Cyber Controller". The Cyber Controller in particular has appeared in multiple forms, both humanoid and as an immobile computer, and has also been referred to as the "Cyber Planner" or "Cyber Director", although these may not be the same being. The Controller seen (and destroyed) in various serials also may or may not be the same consciousness in different bodies, as it appears to recognize and remember the Doctor from previous encounters. More info on Cybermen/cyber controllerJohn Lumic (in Cyberman form - parallel universe) John Lumic was an insane, physically disabled genius and megalomaniac who was the head of Cybus Industries on a parallel Earth. Among his many inventions were the EarPods, a highly popular and widespread communications and entertainment device which allowed the downloading of news and other information directly into the brain. Confined to a wheelchair, dependent on his ventilator and slowly dying, Lumic researched into gaining immortality by bonding the human brain to a robotic exoskeleton, creating his world's Cybermen. He experimented on human subjects, homeless people kidnapped off the streets.
When the President of Great Britain refused approval for his conversion programme, Lumic took matters into his own hands. He first sent a force of Cybermen to assassinate the President and prominent members of society and government, then broadcast a hypnotic signal through the EarPods that directed the population of London to march towards the factories and begin cyber-conversion. In the process, one of his employees turned against Lumic and smashed his ventilator; rather than repairing it the Cybermen then took him unwillingly to be "upgraded".
Lumic was transformed into the Cyber-Controller, a Cyberman with glowing eyes and a transparent brain-case. However, Mickey Smith managed to introduce emotions back into the Cybermen's makeup, causing them to go insane and destroy themselves. The Cyber-Controller was strangely unaffected by this (possibly as a result of different programming, or possibly because John Lumic had, in the process of becoming the Cybercontroller, gone completely mad already). In the resulting conflagration, the Cyber-Controller attempted to escape by climbing into Mickey's zeppelin as it left the factory. The lower portion of the rope ladder was severed before he could so, and the Cyber-Controller fell back into the burning factory, seemingly to perish. More info on John Lumic Romana (a Time Lady and old companion of the Doctor) Romana, short for Romanadvoratrelundar. Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey, she was a companion of the Fourth Doctor.
As a Time Lord, Romana was able to regenerate, and therefore the character had two incarnations with somewhat different personalities. These different incarnations have been dubbed Romana I and Romana II. The White Guardian originally assigned Romana to assist the Doctor during the quest for the Key to Time. Romana was initially haughty and somewhat arrogant, looking down upon the Doctor (whom she considered to be her academic inferior; she obtained a triple first at the Academy, while the Doctor only passed with 51 percent on his second attempt) and responding to his initial resentment at her presence with icy put-downs. However, she soon gained an appreciation for the Doctor's experience and sense of adventure, and began to respect him as a teacher.
Romana's second incarnation Romana changes bodily forms several times, rather like someone casually trying on different outfits, before deciding to take the form of Princess Astra. Romana II enjoyed a more intimate relationship with the Doctor than her predecessor. Perhaps even having a romantic relationship with the Doctor. She eventually left the Doctor with the robot dog K-9 to forge her own path in the parallel universe of E-space.More info on Romana Other Info on Romana . The Rani The Rani is a renegade Time Lady, an evil scientific genius whose villainy comes not from the usual variety of lust for power and suchlike, but from a mindset that treats everything (including morality) as secondary to her research; she has been known to enslave entire planets such as Miasimia Goria in order to have a ready supply of experimental subjects and a place to carry out her experiments uninterrupted. Her major interest is in tinkering with other species' biochemistry she was exiled from Gallifrey after some of her lab mice, as a result of an experiment, grew to enormous size and ate the President's pet cat. A past relationship between the Rani and the Doctor is hinted at, but never elaborated upon. It is established they are the same age. More info on The Rani Martha Jones A 23-year-old medical student from 2008, Martha meets the Doctor in the episode "Smith and Jones", when he poses as a patient to investigate strange anomalies in the Royal Hope Hospital. She subsequently saves his life whereupon he then saves her, everyone else in the hospital and half of Earth from imminent destruction. In need of a new friend, though not willing to admit it to himself, he later invites Martha to join him for "just one trip" in order to thank her. After extending her trip at least twice more, he ultimately comes to appreciate her value and indicates that she has become a true companion to him. The Doctor initially displays a rather conflicted attitude to her presence, having clearly been impressed by her intelligence, intuition, resourcefulness and compassion in their first meeting and in their subsequent adventures, yet remaining unable to fully move forward from the loss of Rose. When Martha finally calls him on his treatment of her, not willing to be taken for granted, he (not in so many words) admits that she is more than just a passenger he has been showing off his abilities to. In "42", he gives her mobile phone the "Superphone" upgrade and also gifted her with her own TARDIS key. The Doctor also constantly thanks her for taking care of him, such as when she saves him and the crew of a future spacecraft during "42" and when he becomes the human John Smith in "Human Nature"/"The Family of Blood".
During her travels with the Doctor, Martha's family also became embroiled in her new life, unknowingly as pawns in the game being played by Mr Saxon against the Doctor. Saxon, Great Britain's Minister of Defence and a popular Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2008 elections, was known for his great charisma and publicly-held beliefs in alien life. Tish Jones was employed by Professor Richard Lazarus, whose experiments on human cellular manipulation are funded by Saxon. In the same episode, one of his aides was successful in turning Francine Jones against the Doctor, telling her who he "really is", and convinced her that he was dangerous and not to be trusted with Martha's safety. In "42", when Martha uses her phone's new trans-temporal capabilities to call her mother, Francine knowingly had her calls tapped by a "sinister woman" working for Saxon.
In "Utopia", the TARDIS travelled to the end of existence and there Saxon was revealed to be an incoming regeneration of the resurrected renegade Time Lord known as The Master although his regeneration was not seen by her, Martha recognised his new voice as he proceeded to taunt the Doctor and steal the TARDIS. Upon returning to 2008 London using alternative means, Martha and the Doctor realised that Saxon and the Master were one and the same, having set in motion events that allowed the Master to travel back to a point before this revelation and set traps for the Doctor and Martha. Furthermore, they were shocked to find that he had succeeded in his bid to become Prime Minister and was poised to initiate war across the universe. After capturing the Doctor and her family, Martha went on the run from the Master for a year and eventually initiated the plan that allowed the Doctor to be freed and rewind time to reverse the Master's takeover. At the culmination of the 2007 season finale, Martha voluntarily departs the TARDIS to stay with her renewed family, complete her medical education and come to terms with her unrequited feelings for the Doctor. She leaves her "superphone" with the Doctor, telling him that when she calls, "you'd better come running".
Martha has repeatedly expressed romantic interest in the Doctor, who either doesn't notice or does not share the affection. She flirts with him in the TARDIS at the end of "Smith and Jones", and makes subtle sexual advances towards the Doctor when they share a bed together in "The Shakespeare Code" using the phrase 'tongues will wag', only to be rebuffed when the Doctor (apparently oblivious to the flirtation) begins talking about Rose. By her third episode, Martha knows she is a "rebound" companion and finds the Doctor's repeated references to Rose frustrating and somewhat demeaning. In "Evolution of the Daleks", she states that the Doctor often seems to be remembering Rose instead of seeing her during their interactions. In "Human Nature", Martha expresses disappointment that the Doctor as John Smith falls for another woman and admits her love for the Time Lord to his human persona in "The Family of Blood", although she later retracts it to avoid embarrassment when Smith becomes the Doctor again. She admits it again in "Last of the Time Lords", most particularly at the end of the episode when she decides of her own volition to leave the Doctor to avoid getting stuck in such a one-way relationship, although they remain in touch. Please be note all characters are equally important due to the nature of this rpg. And Thankies Helen for coming up with the list and other tid bits. I'd be such a dunce if I didn't have it.

More Canons.... Sarah Jane Smith Sarah first met the Third Doctor when she had managed to infiltrate a top secret research facility by posing as her aunt, Lavinia Smith, a famous virologist. She snuck into the TARDIS while the Doctor was preparing to follow the trail of a kidnapped scientist through time, and became embroiled in the subsequent adventure.
Sarah then found herself working with the Third Doctor and UNIT on a number of occasions. She was present when he regenerated into the Fourth Doctor and continued to accompany him on his journeys through time and space.
The exact placement of Sarah's adventures with the Doctor is part of the UNIT dating controversy. In Pyramids of Mars she stated (more than once) that she was "from 1980", which implies that her adventures with the Doctor took place in the near future from the time of broadcast. However, fans continue to argue whether she meant 1980 as the year she came from, the year she last returned to Earth, or the year she believed it was in her personal chronology.
During her time with the Doctor, Sarah encountered Daleks, Cybermen, antimatter creatures on the most distant planet in the universe, android mummies in 1911 England, ancient evils in 15th century Italy and other dangers, until the Doctor received a summons to his home planet Gallifrey and could not take her along.
Sarah had a flat in South Croydon, where the Doctor tried to drop her off at the end of The Hand of Fear (but, typically, did not get the coordinates quite right. In fact, it was finally revealed in School Reunion, 30 years later, that she had not been dropped off in Croydon, but in Aberdeen, Scotland). When the Doctor did not return for her (despite having left K-9 Mark III, a robot dog, as a gift) she believed him to be dead, until she encountered his TARDIS once more in a school.
As a companion, she was confident, inquisitive and possessed a sharp mind as well as a sharp tongue. She was also something of a feminist in her first appearance she was infuriated when the Doctor asked her to make coffee, and she often verbally sparred with fellow companion Harry Sullivan, who had an old-fashioned, chauvinistic and unintentionally patronising attitude towards her. Her feminism was more practical than fanatical, and did not get in the way of forming close friendships with Harry, however, and a more personal feeling for the Doctor himself. These views became less prominent as the series went on, but Sarah never gave the impression that she was less than capable. In spite of the dangerous and frightening situations she often found herself in, she loved adventure and risk, and in spite of her outward complaints, was always thrilled to go off in search of more adventure. She shared a rapport with the Third and Fourth Doctors.
When she once again met the Doctor in his 10th incanation, Sarah was still single, having found it impossible to hold down a lasting relationship with any man following her experiences with the Doctor. When the Doctor departed, Sarah Jane was gifted with a new K-9 model
In the time between meeting The Doctor (at least a year and a half), K-9 has left Sarah to close off a black hole, occasionally passing close enough to contact her, leaving her entirely alone. Sarah Jane has developed a reputation on Bannerman Road as being unsociable and quiet, keeping her investigations into alien life a secret. Acquiring a sonic lipstick, a watch to scan for alien life, sentient supercomputer assistant Mr Smith and various other futuristic and extraterrestrial devices in the meantime, she has helped the Earth and alien life forms in a much less violent way to organisations such as UNIT and the Torchwood Institute who she remarks tend to go in "all guns blazing". Sarah Jane has adopted a son Luke Smith, and befriended neighbour Maria Jackson, remarking that since meeting them she is no longer content to live alone. When why she has never married, she remarks that there was only one man for her, to whom no one could ever compare.Ace (given name Dorothy):A 20th-century Earth teenager from the London suburb of Perivale, she was a companion of the Seventh Doctor. Ace was working as a waitress on the planet Iceworld. She had been a troubled teen on Earth, having been expelled from school for blowing up the art room as a "creative statement". Gifted in chemistry (despite failing it for her "O"-levels), she was in her room experimenting with the extraction of nitroglycerin from gelignite when a time storm swept her up and transported her to Iceworld, and far in her future. There, she met the Doctor and his companion Mel. When Mel left the Doctor at the conclusion of the serial, he offered to take Ace with him in the TARDIS, and she happily accepted.
Ace was arguably the most independent of all the Doctor's companions up to that point. She had suffered traumatic events in her childhood, including a bad relationship with her mother and the racist firebombing of her friend Manisha's flat. Consequently, Ace covered up her own fears and insecurities with a streetwise, tough exterior. Her weapon of choice, disapproved of by the Doctor (who nonetheless found it useful on occasion), was a powerful explosive she called "Nitro-9", which she mixed up in canisters and carried around in her backpack.
Affectionately giving the Doctor the nickname of "Professor", she was convinced that the Doctor needed her to watch his back, and protected him with a fierce loyalty. In turn, the Doctor seemed to take a special interest in Ace's education, taking her across the universe and often prompting her to figure out explanations for herself rather than giving her all the answers. After traveling with the Doctor for awhile, she left him. She now travels throughout Earth's time with a sophsticated motorcycle. And has taken up again the name of Dorothy. More Info on Ace K9: the first K-9 was the creation of Professor Marius, a scientist working for the Bi-Al Foundation which was built on an asteroid near Titan in the year 5000. A mobile computer, K-9 was constructed in the shape of a dog as a substitute for the one Marius had left back on Earth. Highly intelligent, with an extensive database and equipped with sophisticated sensors as well as a laser weapon built into its nose, K-9 was instrumental in helping the Fourth Doctor and Leela defeat a sentient virus. At the end of the story, Marius suggested that K-9 join the Doctor on his travels.
All the K-9s referred to whoever owned them as "Master" or "Mistress" depending on their gender. The units were programmed to be both loyal and logical, with a penchant for taking orders literally, almost to a fault. The Fourth Doctor would often use a glib remark to disarm those who were surprised by K-9's appearance; in The Stones of Blood he said, "They're all the rage in Trenton, New Jersey." The Tenth Doctor defended its less-than-streamlined design ("...so disco!") to Rose Tyler, remarking that it was cutting edge in the year 5000.
Models K-9 Mark I continued to travel with and aid the Doctor and Leela until The Invasion of Time, when the Doctor left it on the planet Gallifrey to accompany Leela, who elected to remain behind on the Time Lord homeworld. However, once inside the TARDIS, the Doctor produced a box labelled "K-9 Mark II".
K-9 Mark II was more mobile than its predecessor, and exhibited the ability to sense and warn others of danger. It was with the Doctor and Romana when they were shunted into the parallel universe of E-Space, and was severely damaged by time winds during the events of Warriors' Gate. The damage was such that K-9 could only function in E-Space, and when Romana decided to stay and forge her own path, the Doctor gave K-9 to her. Due to a bout of laryngitis which the Fourth Doctor was baffled as to how the robotic dog could have contracted the voice of K-9 Mark II changes around the time of Romana's regeneration, only to revert some time later (in reality, this was due to voice actor Leeson temporarily leaving the series at the start of the 1979-80 season and being replaced by Brierley; Leeson returned for the 1980-81 season).
K-9 Mark III was a gift from the Doctor to Sarah Jane Smith, and appeared with her in the pilot episode of the aborted spin-off series K-9 and Company as well as briefly in the 20th anniversary television movie The Five Doctors. In the original outline to K-9 and Company, it would have been eventually revealed that K-9 Mark III was actually sent by and under the control of the Master, but this element never made it to the screen. K-9 Mark III's final appearance was in the second series of the new Doctor Who with David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor, alongside Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith in the episode School Reunion. In the episode K-9 appears more run-down and worn, echoing Sarah's inability to repair it in the spin-off stories (see below). It died heroically, sacrificing itself by using the last of its energy reserves to set off an explosion.
K-9 Mark IV was a parting gift to Sarah Jane from the Doctor, appearing at the end School Reunion. It stated that the Doctor "rebuilt" it after the Mark III's sacrifice, implying that it had the same mind as the Mark III, but also confirmed it was a "brand new model". Its systems were improved over those of its predecessor, including "omniflexible hyperlink facilities". This model of K-9 also appeared briefly in Invasion of the Bane, the pilot episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures, where it was shown sealing off an artificially created black hole. The real-world purpose of this is to remove K-9 from subsequent episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures, in which he will not appear because of the concurrent development of K-9 Adventures. According to the official website for The Sarah Jane Adventures, the Doctor stored several presents for Sarah inside K-9, including a "sonic lipstick" and a watch to scan for alien life.
