Last time he defeated me by using the pit and his wedging ability. It stands to reason that he would probably attempt a similar tactic this time. Obviously I don't have the speed to match him in an offensive showdown, but if he diverts his attention to triggering the pit, his awkward design could make it difficult for him to press the button quickly and if I follow him to the button, I can probably get in a hit while his attention is diverted. Of course, I'll still be wary of him trying to pull a fake out. Other than this senario, I will be keeping defensive and focus on keeping my weapon facing him at all times. A thin hindged wedge (or wedges if he uses the dual set-up) like his is fairly suseptible to getting warped by a powerful weapon like mine and thus rendering it much less useful. If he should attempt an overhead thwack, he would have to get really close to me to have any chance at making solid contact, and I could repay him in damage at the same time while making it so that he either glances me, or possibly miss me alltogether. He can't move while in spin-thwack mode, so I could pick and choose my shots, and it's not like he could just stop on a dime and be in a favorable direction which would make it easier for me to get a good hit on him. Also, I want to make sure to keep clear of hazards, especially that pit.

Just keep the weapon facing him and take the shots as they come, don't give him any easy openings on me. Try and cause as much damage as possible.

Good Luck!

Alright, single piece wedge, lock the arm down.

My RP is basically going to be what it was against The Dark Side Of Cupid. Since we're so close to each other at the start of the match, I'll charge him right away before he can get the weapon up to speed. From the get go, scoop him up, and ram HIM into the pit trigger. While I've got him wedged, it should prove very difficult for him to get the weapon up to speed. Once the pit is open, maneuver him to the pit and dump him in. Get it over quickly.

If he gets away from me, try to get him under control before his weapon is up to speed. If it gets up to speed, try to get to his sides. I have the speed and torque advantages over him, both by decent enough margins that if I keep at it long enough, I ought to be able to accomplish it. Plus, my 2WD versus his four... he doesn't have a great set up for spinning a tight circle, so I should be able to get to his side or even his back side eventually. Once I have that shot, take it, scoop him up, and dump him into the pit (or into the trigger if it still hasn't been hit, then to the pit).

If I have to do a spin thwack, I'll do it. Try to land his side. He has low torque, so I might be able to knock him aside ok. Plus, with the arm locked down, no chance of firing the hammer by a sudden spin, so the thwack should be solid. And with my speed and torque pretty close to equal, I should be able to do this without worry of skidding. I've got good control in this instance.

Pretty straightforward all around, and I'm pretty fatigued out of my head to dress it up too much. I beat him once with a sound strategy, and I think I've only made it better with a couple simple observations and minor tweaks. Hopefully, I can beat him again. Good luck, Josh.
