Silver is a town located in the ancient society of Ethus. The people of Ethus are a strange magical people. Those of other civilizations say that they are warped by there magic, once human and now different. Changed. Some more different than others. Of cource, this change happened long before anyone now can remember.

In Ethus, women are the rulers of society. The females are said to have superior magic talent, which is generally true. In rare cases, you will get a powerful male warlord but they are usually killed at birth to prevent uprising in their gender. Most females see them as useful for common labor, reproduction and pleasure. Some communities are more open-minded but Silver is not one of them.

The Crown in Silver has always been a very coveted object. Silver was built by Empress Segney, ruler of all Ethus, to gaurd the Silver Spring, the spring of eternal youth. None but the Queen of Silver knew the location of the spring, hiden by magic and geography. As payment for keeping the secret, the Queen and her family have always been premitted to drink from the spring. There has only ever been two rulers of Silver, seeing as the only way to loose the thrown is to be killed in an unnatural fashion.

An unnatural fashion is how Queen Pharras died. She was unexplainably murdered after ruling for just over 300 years. She had only one son. The word King was not in the vocabulary of those in Ethus. So, as Regent, Silven was permitted to rule, but only until a marriage could be arranged. As ruler, however, law decreed that he could not be forced into marrying anyone he did not wish to marry. He would be able to choose, a choice no man had ever had in Ethus' history.

The ammount of candidates that arrived was, in a word, ridiculous. Women of wealth, power and status came out of the woodwork to seduce the 18-year old. Silven was no fool, though. He was a very powerful warlord indeed, if he had not been the Queen's son, he would have been killed for certain. He saw this as a perfect oppertunity to be out for the female's shadow, even if it didn't last forever, no other boy ever had the oppertunity of dating all the richest and most beautiful women of the world, especially not at the same time. He knew it wouldn't last, but he was going to make the best of it, perhaps even with a few more cards up his sleeve than anyone thought.

The fact that his mother's killer was likely mixed in with all the rest never passed his mind, the knowlage his older sister had disapeered when she tried to overtake his mother's thrown, however, was very hard to forget.

Silven has been kidnapped by the vampire Edward, held captive in his manor. What he has been taken for, only time will tell.

Sept. 30, 06
Silven has escaped his capture, full of new ideas and ready to change the world. He has reintroduced a legalized slave trade, opened a Magic University and named himself King.
