At Penn Stables, you'll find Fracshun's parents, Beau's and Cyrano's as well. Wyldfyr was a rescue dragon as the orphan Kitt, rescued her orphan dragon.

That is drac. It is interesting to know we could see the parents of these dragons. If that is the case, where was Fracshun's parents in the episode, "Alchemists'? I know for a fact that the youngest dragon was not born yet. Thanks so much, Rob.

I'm not sure where Fracshun's parents would be during "The Alchemist". Fracshun won't hatch for about another 6 years, so maybe his parents aren't even at the stables yet and Connor gets them later on. It would be nice if we could see a big family reunion of all the Penn dragons and their families sometime. CainSmiley.gif

QUOTE
In "The Choosing", Beau's blue and red disguise was triggered by Artha's presence. The amulet is more a symbol of the armor and a power-up of sorts but it's more the gold draconium in Artha or Connor for example (The Alchemist) that activates Beau's powers.

So that's kind of interesting. It sort of implies that neither the amulet nor the gauntlet are the real source of power, but they're more of an enabler (or perhaps a crutch) to whatever power you already have. That may also explain why the gauntlet didn't work for Lance when he tried it "The Chromatic Dragon". And the fact that Beau's change to red and blue was triggered just by Artha's presence perhaps means they don't really need the amulet in the long run once they master their own power.

I'd still be interested to know the physics behind how the DB armor seems to materialize out of nowhere. It could of course be a energy-matter conversion, but wow, that would really be off the scale of technology to pull that off! CainSmiley.gif And I don't think I want to the standing anywhere nearby when that's happening without a lead suit on!

I think the explanation for the suits is supposed to be something along the lines of "draconium was much more powerful three thousand years ago, like magic", which I believe Mortis said in the...second? episode. Which, of course, isn't any fun for those of us who want to know the how, but I think we're just gonna have to live with it. PyrrahWink.gif

Always paying attention I see Furox! Great question of course - Yes, the black and gold dragon can and does exert an impressive amount of control over other dragons due to the pure gold draconium in his bones. Other dragons which all have traces to varying degrees of gold, can sense this and be influenced by it - call Beau the ultimate Bone-mark in a sense. Remember, Beau of the Dragon-Human-War got all the dragons to stop fighting and turned them back to gold, meaning the gold draconium on this world is ALL tied together. There's a very specific reason that Wyldfyr, Cyrano and Fracshun don't bow but for now, let's just leave it at they are already friends. But if Beau wanted Wyldfyr to turn on Kitt; I think he could arrange that, which is why the dragon of legend is so dangerous too, this goes to the heart of the Prophets motives (episode and the actual motives), if humans are not worthy, than Dragons perhaps should rule. This is why Word is so fixated on Beau in the first place.

Cool! Luutt has some gold in her bones! She can sense it and be influenced by it. In a story, she may have been a Wraith Dragon. In mine, she is a mother of two.

In Broken Bonds, as Liliwen pointed out, we see Rancydd's dragon, Luutt. You are right, she could have some gold in her bones. I did not expect to hear Rob's answer on those dragons seen in Broken Bonds. That is something to remember about Luutt, AP.

Because you're in the wrong section drake. It's in Past, Present And Future, not Dragonology.

Round 8 Answers

QUOTE (Cain @ Australia)
You mentioned previously that there are wild dragons living outside the city. Are there any stray/wild dragons in the city or do all city dragons have a human taking care of them? If there are strays, is there an animal control or humane society that picks them up and takes care of them? Is there some kind of system in place to reunite dragons with their humans if they get separated (like microchipping the dragons)?  Are wild dragons allowed to enter the city?

Thank for the question Cain! There are indeed strays (like Hydrags) through the city. Don't think of them like stray animals though, dragons are as smart as most people so they are perfectly fine on their own or in groups of their own kind. But remember, as the dragon stands for the aggressive power and force in the humans, they are drawn to each other and prefer to be together. There is no need for "chips" dragons can tune to the energy of humans and identify them from great distances just as Beau and Artha found each others in episode 7, "The Stand".

QUOTE (Skulderian @ Long Island, New York)
We've seen dragons tolerate the volcanic heat of the fire caves, and know that they have natural adaptations to handle high external temperatures, and excessive body heat, such as steaming, and gear that helps with this as well, such as cooling gear, and the hydro-pack (like if you, say, put cold dragonaid in it) but what about the other extreme of temperatures? can the dragons in dragon booster handle extreme cold, like icy arctic conditions? If not, is there gear to help them overcome these kind of scenarios?

Wow, this is a big question Skulderian! Yes, of course, throughout the planet, there are various adaptations and breeds of dragons and just like the red draconium Magma Class dragons evolved body adaptations for heat and fire and gear based on the same along with the tendencies (attack, speed, heat as a weapon of defense), that are reflected in the gear. To that point, there are dragons in this planet that live in cold environments and humans that have created gear that stems from their adaptations to the harshness of that environment. This is for a later time though - stay tuned! Great question.

ah, so there ARE cold regions in the dragon booster world! Just either they don't want to reveal any specifics on gear or other things, or they haven't prescicely come up with those specifics yet. Lance.gif

though as to the other question, i can clearly see a need for dragons to be chipped, considering how many of them are stolen these days and turned into wraith dragons, lots of people are suddenly having their dragons going missing. ParmCute.gif

Probably the latter would be my guess. ParmCute.gif While the DB world may have cold regions and dragons living there, it seems pretty clear that the story they set out to tell takes place just in Dragon City. While Rob said that other cities would come up in DB Academy, I tend to think those references will only be in passing, as opposed to the characters actually making a trip to them.

Perhaps something like this:

http://tacimur.deviantart.com/art/furry-dragon-12237989

Just a random dragon I found on deviantart, but it looks sort of like a DB dragon since it's wingless.

Of course, cold weather dragons don't necessarily have to have fur. A tough hide and an extra layer of fat under skin works well, too. But fur would be cooler looking. PyrrahWink.gif

Ah, but who's to say an academy level race doesn't take place in a refrigerated track, like an indoor ice rink?

OH! I have a question!

We know that Phorjj is a Female, and when she becomes the Furox, is the Furox female, too? If Furox is a male, than does that that mean phorjj is a male during that time? But, if the Fruox is a female, what about Furox-Beau? Or is the furox just plain genderless? Also, can you tell us more about the Furox from the dragon human war? Also, if beau chose a human to ride him/be his hero, then why dose the furox have a rider in the opening?
Thanks, Love Aurabooster
