Title: Wraith Gear And Bonemarks?
Description: something occurred to me...

Ok, so, I was thinking, after watching The Furox episode and eading Stormryda's new chapter a thought came to me.... When a dragon is taken over by a bone mark or wraith gear and the gear/bonemark is taken off them... shouldn't it effect how the dragon looks or acts? Wouldn't some patterns change color or something? And wouldn't the dragon act different too? As well as some draconium changes and such

Haha! Actually, the same thing occurred to me when I made Purrseaus!
Check this out:

It was hard at first, because he was controlled by the Wyvesox, but when she arrived here, at Percy's Stable, the two managed to help Purrseaus get free of it. Though Purrseaus got some permanent traits from the Wyvesox: those Light Turquoise lines and Darker than usual Blue coloring.
Ya see?! The same thing came to my mind, especially if you read this from Furox's fan site:
QUOTE
Phorrj is the first dragon we see that gets affected by a bone mark. In "Fanning the Flames" he is taken over by the spirit or energy contained in the bone mark of the Furox. He apparently has suffered no long term effects from this after it was removed.
That's why I wrote that about Purrseaus! You've made an absolutely great point!

Being the cause if this thought thread I may as well put my 2 cents in.
My idea is this - basically - No
Wraith gear did not have any long term effect on Beau, it only controlled him, then when he was freed of it he was able to take control of himself again. I can't actually remember if any of the other wraiths got freed or just knocked out a lot, but once it is removed and the controlling element - such as the control pod on Pyrrah ad Phorjj - and also the wraith pod on Kitt and Wyldfyrre, they would have full functions again.
Same with the bonemark, remove it's influence, like Phorjj and Cyrano, and they revert back to their normal selves, perhaps with a few nightmares from lingering memories, but no lasting effects.
Absorb the bonemark and you will see a permanent change however.

I think Stormryda has the right idea, wraith gear and bonemarks (if they're removed) don't have a lasting effect but if a bone mark is absorbed the change is permanent.
But I still wonder, if a dragon wore a bone mark for a really long time then would it have an effect on the dragon? In the show, the dragons only have the bonemarks for a short time so its not really clear.

Exactly, that's something that I experimented with when I made Purrseaus. For like I said in my comment above, Purrseaus had had the Wyvesox bonemark on for a few years, and his appearance was permanently changed. But then again, that was an idea, like you said no one on the show really remains under the influence for a long time, so we don't officially know.

There's also another matter with this
Samurox Cyrano - he ABSORBED blue draconium, Cyrando should have been changed due to the fact the dragon ABSORBED draconium
Shouldn't draconium change a dragons bones as well? Kinda like the Broken Bonds thing so Syrano should have had some features changed

Yeah, but we all need to remember one thing as we consider what happened on the episodes. Though it was awesome and we love it, we have to remember it wasn't perfect! There were a lot of loose ends in the show, but you're right Ruin, even if it was a slight change, something about Cyrano should've been different.

I think when he absorbed the blue draconium the power went to the bone mark itself and when it was cassed off the street it took the absorbed blue draconium with it.
