As this is unfortunately an issue that has come up on this forum, I want to make the forum's stance on this matter (and mine as admin) clear to everyone.

Due to the nature of the majority of 'dragon creating' on this forum, simmilarities are inevitable.

Templates mean that many dragons are going to have identical poses, colour distribution, patterns and markings, etc.

Canon dragon colours, with a particular preference for black and gold, mean that there are going to be many dragons with very similar colouring.

It is very important to remember that these dragons are created for fun. When plagairism isn't involved, creators should be able to enjoy this hobby without unkind accusations directed at them. There should be no threats or un-founded accusations directed at anyone. That is called bullying, and will not be tollerated.

It is important for everyone here to realise that the nature of this medium means that there will be similarities among many dragons. If this concerns you, it may be a good idea to find a new medium for designing your characters, such as drawing your own fanart, where you will have more creative freedom and more control over the originality of your designs.

There should be no money involved with the creation of template dragons. Please remember that the majority of the templates came from screencaps from the original prgram. Profiting from that is dicey at best. If you choose to alter an original character you paid for and turn it into a template dragon, that is your choice, but please remember that it will increase the chance of similarities between other dragons significantly, due to the reasons stated above.

If someone is directly copying your dragons and you can prove it, bring it straight to me. Whether you are right or wrong, bullying will not be tollerated on this forum.

I want to make it clear that this is not directed at anyone. I understand that when it comes to OCs, emotions can sometimes run high, as these are characters you have created and care about. This is just to remind everyone that anyone has the same right to create and care about their own characters, even if they like similar colours. :)
