Looks like we've got all the character design submissions we're going to get, so let's pick the ones we want to go with!

To avoid having a separate poll thread for each character, we're going to vote for all the dragons in this one poll. View the images using the links above and select which design you like for each character. Please only make one choice for each character. There are six dragons here, so you should be making exactly six selections in this poll. If these instructions aren't clear, please ask before you vote.

If we end up with any ties, Nayade and I will break them.

My votes, and well as why I picked them, are Crystal_Wyldfyr's version 1 black dragon, because it's a full-body design and I think it would be kinda odd for the dragon priests to chromo-shift a draconian "C" on a dragon's shoulder (yes, that's what that mark on each of Coershun's shoulders is, as well as what you put on your version 2. actually, the whole version 2 looks a little too much like Coershun for my tastes); Nayade's dragon hound design, because I think it fits best with the style of the show; Aerodragon's Cephyiss design, because it's really cool looking and it really does look like it could be one of beau's parents(I love your style too, BTW!); Koering's Oryon design, because as much as it looks rather like a Psi-class, the others just don't look enough like Beau to me; Dargon's T-Pax design, because Pax is supposed to be a Blue dragon, and while the first design's body looks good, the colors don't fit with what I had in mind, and the second looks too much like a Purple; and Nayade's Abandonn design because I think 'Ban should be at least partly evolved by this point, and Arrow's just doesn't look like a young version of 'Ban to me, prolly 'cuz of markings. Though, I think Nayade's design might look a little too much like 'Ban, just 'cuz I'm picky like that. :P


I really like the Oryon design by Aerodragon, but I think the markings are too ornate...which is a shame because those markings are really cool. If that design doesn't get used I think you should use it for something else Aero! It's just too cool to waste!

I agree with most of what Renesh said, actually! I did of course vote for my T-Pax design because well... I think it fits most with the descriptions we were given. The marking could use some work I admit. I welcome it. However I studied many a screen shot to combine the looks of T-Pax and variety of the blue dragons seen in the show. I love Nayade's Abandonn and dragon hound designs. Aerodragon's Cephyiss design looked like Beau enough to be related but not like his twin which was sort of the vibe I was getting from from MinervaRahn's design. There was more but I'd have to go back and double check.

i remember there being another set of designes for Cephyss from the thread about the character designs that i simply do not see ehre, and i thought they were the best of the bunch, what happened?

I just looked through and the designs by Allye can't be accessed as she moved/deleted/renamed them. So that would be why they aren't on the list, which sucks because apparently everyone liked them.

yeah, 'cause they're the ones i wanted to vote for. DARNIT! *pouts*

And that's why, when I see a picture I like and I might need it for something later, I save it to my computer in a special folder. :P



(Actually, I save all sorts of pictures to my computer if I like them, so I can use them for inspiration. XD They never leave my computer though, so nobody needs to worry about me stealing their art.)

Yes, that's why they're not here. Unfortunately, many people don't realize that moving things in their photobucket account breaks all the links they previously posted. Nayade tried to contact Allye about this before I started the poll, but there was no response after waiting a week. Allye hasn't visited the forum in over a month now. We tried to get them back, but we can't wait forever. Sorry.

I agree too with Renesh. They are nice designs, based mainly on the infomation we were given. It is the closest to the show. The design of Oryon and Cephyhiss by MinveraRain are very neat. I loved that piece of art. It would be nice to know more about Beau's siblings.

well, i voted on what we had left then.. seriously too bad though. i liked that design of Cephyss... :(

I really loved the design of Cephyiss and Oryon by MinveraRain. That is really neat.

Oops. Didn't realize, and that sketch wasn't done for this episode, so our modellers could rub the 'C' out. -_-;;;

Only problem is, with Nayade's Abandonn is that I think the neck is too long.

I think so as well, but seeing as normal Psi classes have shorter necks, and 'Ban has a short neck in the show (the same proportionate length as an ordinary Psi) I'm pretty sure the modelers would give him a normal length neck.

Wow! Really?!

I was thinking something along the lines of Coershun's body. Really, whoever wants to make the body can go wild. I just gave the idea and now go wild my children!

lol, I'll have a shot at the body. I'm good with Psi classes; they're my favorites so they're what I draw the most. I think markings as complex as Coershun's wouldn't be very fitting for a "mutt" though, the impression I get is that the more pure a dragon is, the more complex the markings it has. But that's just my opinion. If anyone else wants to have a go I'd be glad for the competition! :)

Alright, sorry for the double-post, but I finally got the time to scribble up a body design. For now I haven't put any colors on, but I'm thinking muted dark blues/purples, mebbe a bit of a reddish tint here or there. For now though, I just want to see what people think of the design itself. Once I've got something the majority of people like then I'll slap some colors on.

I like the front leg design on the first,
The line from the head to the tail, including the back leg, on the second,
And the back leg design on the third.

WAH! Sorry I've been away so long! I got a few trojans on my computer and by the time I got rid of them it was time to leave to visit family for Christmas, and there wasn't any internet access where we were. Sorry 'bout that!

But anyway, I don't mind mixing and matching, I was kinda thinking of that anyway. You say "including the back leg" for the second version, but then say "the back leg design" from the third. Do you mean you like both designs, you like how the division line arches over the leg (so it's the same color as the belly), or something else?

Don't feel pressured to pick just one, I want to get the design good. So go ahead and nitpick all you want! I kinda like it actually. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my art, so I really like it when people are specific about things. ^_^ Must be my Asperger's. lol

Hi Renesh, sorry, i made that sound weird.

It should be, the stripe that goes from the head to the tail 'continuing over' the back leg/thigh.

oh wow! didn't think my Oryon pic would be chosen for the design but thanks for the votes! XD man its been a while but sorry! school always comes first when I'm online. All of the other designs were great as well, especially the dragon hound and dark dragon :D
