Title: Carl Stevens Lenox Van
Taxidriver - April 22, 2010 11:14 PM (GMT)
Does anyone here know what the round object was on Carl Stevens's van
that he owned in Lenox? It looked like a normal van but had a mushroom-like
object on top. Was it for mobile phones or TV? I know that even with the
advances of the past 30 plus years I've never seen anything like it.
It may seem like an odd question but since I drove the Taxi I saw the thing
every day and always wondered. One night I saw him in Pittsfield and he was on top of the van tinkering with it near the center of town. Thanks.

I think he was communicating with aliens. They gave him his messages to preach.

Well, I figured I would come back by and see if all of the same little-old-lady gossips were still at it. Unfortunately your negative little club is still fixated on puking out villifications of P. Stevens against the transparent prohibitions of scripture.
Why the hell aren't you focusing your energies on the Regime in Washington and the Marxist takeover that is happening right under your noses?? Instead you waste your time on this forum throwing your verbal incendiary grenades at a man of God who has gone to be with Jesus. Your efforts amount to a piss-hole-in-the-snow when you could be articulating on issues that effect all of us.
Of course, I am assuming that most of you have a little patriotism left in you. But, then again if you use the same tactics as the Leftist media in attacking and villifying those you disagree with, then I suppose you must be in agreement with them.
Maybe your friend Obama could use you in his White House press-corps. Distortion and maligning seems to be working pretty well for him. See ya.

Distortion and maligning were all part of the "ministry" of Carl Stevens and many of his followers who repeatedly accuse and judge others of doing the very same thing. Such hypocrisy!

Well now,
hello Bean.
I hope you are doing well these days.

Lbean,
Between you October 17, 2009 post and yesterday there have been 46 posts by 12 people. 7 of them were in response to your post. 5 were about a school in Maine. 20 were on the topic that Paul Stevens might have been the victim.

Thanks for pointing that out. I suspected that this forum was in it's waning days. Amazing, isn't it, how the detractors and gossip-mongers eventually go the way of the dodo bird? But, the work of Christ's ministry (and in this case, His servant P. Stevens ministry) continues on.
I would say that the gates of Hell are still having a difficult time prevailing, huh??

Or maybe there is nothing new to report lately. TBS/GG has a pattern of quiet years between scandals.
My memory only goes back to the 80s. 1980 and 81 was the "conspiracy" which ended when those who wanted to turn the Bible school into a legitimate accredited college finally left when they realized that CHS, who had no earned higher education degrees and was therefore unqualified to head the college or teach accredited courses, would not relinquish control of the school. Rather than simply admit the truth, he set out on a mission to destroy the reputations of anyone who disagreed with him and taught that it was evil to even listen to any side of the story but his.
Then the late 80s brought Dovydenas. Again CHS would not admit his failure and allowed TBS to go bankrupt. Again he taught that it was evil to listen to any side of the story but his.
GGWO had a pretty good run for several years in Baltimore until CHS' poor health would no longer allow him to control information flow. CHS drug addiction came to light and Paul Stevens was made the scapegoat. But this time we had the Internet and information continued to flow uncontrolled. The corrupt church leaders found a way to side step the church's by laws and get their guy in. They taught afterwards that was evil to even listen to any side of the story but theirs.
It will be a matter of time when it happens again. good people will leave the ministry and the ministry will say they were the problem and it is good that they left, but they will warn those who stay with GG not to listen to any side of the story but theirs.
You can call the leaders of GG God's servants if you want. I will stick with "wolves in sheep's clothing".

Fear of the truth is prevalent here.(yes, you Bean)
Speaking the truth and giving the facts is considered evil by those dishonest ones who have so much to loose.
Facing the realities and adjusting accordingly seems anathema which is contrary to reason and logic.(something that God gives us to use for our benefit)
Anyone who makes any attempt to prevent examination of both beliefs and actions of people in leadership positions is engaging in evil actions and should be immediately suspect.
How is one to take the good and leave that which is unprofitable if there is no examination taking place?(this is to be done by every believer with any brains at all)
Blind acceptance is suicide and irresponsible.
Be a Berean, not a spiritual slave.
Question everything.
sidethorn - May 17, 2010 03:29 PM (GMT)
1 Thessalonians 5:21 says to test everything and hold on to the good.
Acts 5:29 says to obey God rather than man.
When do you ever hear these verses preached on from GGWO pulpits unless they're completely twisted and distorted?
Never.
GGWO is about blind submission to the pastors there. Blindly believe what you're told to believe. Blindly obey the pastor no matter what. Test nothing! Just submit and follow. Serve the man standing behind the pulpit even at the expense of family and loved ones. Always cover up for him no matter how many others he steps on to get what he wants. Never listen to concerns others have about him since those are always evil reports from hateful, divisive slanderers of the brethren. But if pastor says anything negative about someone, always believe him and shun that person if that pastor tells you to. Never question anything the pastor says even if you think its false. Remember that pastor always knows better. Just submit without ever thinking about it.
This is what GGWO is really about!
Dude - May 22, 2010 02:57 AM (GMT)
No offense intended here, but it is interesting how two people who have undergone TBS/GG indoctrination and thought control, one a former member and one still attending, are in perfect agreement over the absolute fact that our current President's sole purpose in gaining that office is to fly the Hammer and Sickle over the Capitol Building.
The current propaganda campaign against the Administration makes Joseph Goebbels look like he was writing for the high school newspaper. It has all the earmarks of great thought control: Our's is the side of The Truth. The same message repeated over and over, available almost 24 hours a day. Dogma. Demonization of an opponent while canonizing self as a saint. Straw Man portrayals of individuals and actions. Rumors and opinion stated as fact and truth. Excessive exaggeration of potential outcomes. Name calling. And opportunities for those in agreement to "testify" via blogs, e-mail, and chat.
Does any of this sound familiar? I learned my lesson. My mind is not available to boost someone's ratings.
_Brett_ - May 22, 2010 06:24 PM (GMT)
I personally left GGWO/TBS/LGM a few years ago so what they are doing now is really none of my business. We all agree that the ministry lacks forthrightness. They never did claim to have a congregational style of church government. The solution to the corruption at GGWO was as simple as walking out the door.
On the other hand maintaining a self governing Constitutional Republic is everyone's duty. There are legitimate frightening policy issues that this current administration in the White House is pursuing that will damage the country so it is not as though the concerns that people have should be viewed as baseless. Leaving the United States to find another place to live is exponentially more difficult than leaving GGWO.
_Brett_ - May 22, 2010 06:27 PM (GMT)
Dude, you have not observed any pro-administration propaganda? I see it everywhere I go. Like you said, I hope this does not offend you but the double standard is stunning. Did you miss the 8 years of the networks bashing the Bush administration? (No he wasn't a great guy - I am complaining about the double standard.)
You imply that talk shows and tea parties are somehow like Joseph Goebbels however Joseph Goebbels worked for a totalitarian state he did not work to oppose it. Some people have even remarked that the new law in Arizona is Nazi-like. How can that be? People were trying to leave Germany whereas they are breaking in to Arizona.
There are people on both sides of a given issue that use hyperbole.
Dude - May 24, 2010 03:42 AM (GMT)
I guess with the political stuff I would say the same thing I would say to someone in GG: If you stop listening to "doctrine" every day you eventually go back to seeing things the way they really are.
It's a war mentality. Us vs. Them. Yes both sides do it. Us vs. Them. Tune in today so you can keep track of what The Enemy is up to. Because we're at war here.
The propaganda part comes in when IT NEVER STOPS. I can't walk into a store that has a television or a radio without hearing something political. I can't channel surf my tv set or car radio without bumping into a political talk show. It's everywhere. It's 24/7.
Television and Radio executives know people will tune in to Us vs. Them. (So did Junior Stevens.) Politics as War. The World As You Know It Is Ending. And people are absolutely hooked on the stuff. Do you think WABC in New York pays Rush Limbaugh $54 Million a year because they're on a mission to save our democracy? WABC pays Rush Limbaugh $54 Million a year because they know they will sell $375 Million worth of advertising on his show.

I have never heard anything as absurd as all the hype about the Arizona immigration law. The media would like to portray the entire country as being outraged and against this law, when every public opinion shows the majority are FOR it. Illegal immigrants have been out of control in this country for years. No other country would put up with the drain on its resources from foreigners that the U.S. has tolerated. Not to mention the crime and drugs they bring with them. The most ironic part is that Mexico itself is extremely harsh on illegal immigrants and foreigners. To quote a small part of an article on this:
[In fact, as a just-published paper by the Center for Security Policy’s J. Michael Waller (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/Mexicos_Glass_House.pdf) points out, under a constitution first adopted in 1917 and subsequently amended, Mexico deals harshly not only with illegal immigrants. It treats even legal immigrants, naturalized citizens and foreign investors in ways that would, by the standards of those who carp about U.S. immigration policy, have to be called “racist” and “xenophobic.”]
Even more absurd was the story of the kids in California who were kicked out of school for wearing T shirts with the American flag on it on May 5th, Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican holiday. Punished for wearing the American flag in America! They were eventually exonerated but the fact that it happened at all is unbelievable.
Never mind having any national identity, national pride, or any kind of standards.....all that matters is being "politically correct". It is such a joke

Well, almost a month later I'm back again to see a mixed bag. On the one hand I get pissed off at comments about people that I consider my friends and which defame commonly accepted Biblical ethics, and on the other I am impressed that there is patriotism left in the midst.
One thing I have to say though, Dude, is that despite the fact that guys like Rush are making their millions, I think that many of them are sincere. There will come a time when they will have to kick in with the rest of the patriots without a payday. Then we will know who amongst them are the real-deal.
Don't forget that the reason why this country is where it's at right now is because of WRONG information. Rush, Hannity,Beck, etc. are putting out info that wasn't getting out until this alternative media, along with the internet, came along. The truth rings loud and clear, if it's allowed to be revealed.
guest2 - June 5, 2010 11:09 AM (GMT)
Just like "Rush, Hannity,Beck, etc. are putting out info that wasn't getting out until this alternative media", many here have given out information about gg leaders, their methods and behavior, that have been suppressed for many years by those leaders.

If Schaller and Company would just stop this insane idolatry of Carl Stevens, stop teaching false, unbalanced doctrine about the authority of the pastor, stop using people, stop coercing them to depend upon the pulpit more than God, stop all the hypocricy, stop all the double standards, stop bearing false witness against those who leave or speak out, and stop providing unsafe environments for youth where kids have little or no recourse if abused in any way, then maybe the comments that piss you off wouldn't be necessary anymore. But thanks to the Internet, the real truth about GGWO and the abuses there has been getting out and still is. Never again will the secrecy that Carl Stevens enjoyed for so many years be possible. People now have the tools to speak out and are speaking out which is always a very good thing. The truth getting out pisses off those who want to hide it or benefit in some way from the iniquity that it exposes, doesn't it?

Sidethorn.... It's a shame you are so obsessed with sheer hatred and an endless crusade to spread LIES, HALF-TRUTHS, AND INNUENDO against a Bible -believing work of God. You could be using that energy in doing something useful like joining the Tea Party Movement or a local conservative political action committee.
Why you waste your time in this ABSOLUTELY VAIN PURSUIT is beyond comprehension!! I guess that you, and others here at this forum, will continue to vomit the same, tired old bulls**t about GG until you stand before God one day.
Well, have a grand old time serving a different side of the same master that the Marxists in Washington serve. We'll see where it gets you!!
sidethorn - June 6, 2010 02:12 AM (GMT)
Bean:
Its a big hatred of the lies, cover ups and abuses there and enough love and concern for others to expose the wolves among us for what they really are. At least some around here care enough about others to speak out instead of preaching the same old worn out, cover up at any cost nonsense that Greater Grace is now well known for. Many of those who left GGWO desired to lean on God instead of arrogant pastors which got them black listed there. Some of them left because others took the time to expose the truth about GGWO to them and then they left and now live far better lives in Christ than they ever did at GGWO. Hardly a vain pursuit.

lbean, Just recently Dr. Wright and Pastor Love spoke in unison on The Grace Hour and told the listening audience, that it is better to believe that God's name is "Yahweh" than not to believe that God's name is "Yahweh".
lbean: Why would a Bible-believing work of God, say that?
lbean: Do you happen to know in what chapter and verse of the Hebrew Scriptures that God has preserved His name as "Yahweh"?
Daved
P.S. I know of several English Bibles that translate God's name as "Yahweh",
But none of these English Bibles have any support from the Hebrew Scriptures, for that Translation "Yahweh".

I'd say it's more like people getting back to living and trying to undo years of damage. Unfortunately, what GGWO did well was keep the lid on personal problems, like marriage, jobs, money, kids, friends and family to name some. Once the lid comes off that box, it's a hard road to recovery. I've told my story, made my warnings, and hopefully been as helpful as I am every going to be in regards to exposing this cult. It is infinitely more easy now to get the facts on Stevens and now Schaller than it was for me. If the next crop of people that get off the kool aid drip can't do it with what's here, then they're never going to.
So LBean, enjoy your golden calf and the temple you've all made for yourselves. I still hope all the sleepers awake one day, before a life time slips by leaving a trail of emotions, relationships and scars.
A last piece of advice for anyone reading this thinking of exiting this cult, be ready and have some support. If you are really seeking the truth and want to know, it can be a hard road ahead. The foundation for many marriages, and life choices were made solely with the pulpit's guidance. It had nothing to do with the "geographical will of God", but controlling people to make a world ministry. A ministry with the labor and financial force of zealous people seeking God, but getting Carl Stevens, and now Tommy Schaller. It's like waking up from a weird/bad dream and can leave you disoriented for some time, looking for how to put it all back together.
Whether it's easy or hard for someone, it has to be done. It's been hard for me, not as hard as some, but I would not change the path. Just rolling over and carrying on year after year with GGWO is a slow decent into unhappiness, and perhaps insanity.
Just look at how the "remnant believers" treat others, especially other believers.
Anyway, there you have it. I know this is not on topic at all, but it was a response that just rambled away.
