Gundam versus Zoids; a union of sorts(did not actually feature in as RP never progressed to sign-ups).APPEARANCEDescription: Hikaru stands around 5' 11'', with moderately lengthy reddish-brown hair held away from his eyes by a flat black band around the forehead or a pair of light green glasses when they aren't adorning his face.
Attached at either end is a simple black twine that allows them to hang down around his neck if needed.
His eyes are a light murky brown, almost mud toned, and generally half-lidded in concentration, and thin slanted eyebrows extend slightly beneath the black band above.
Like the rest of the Thirty-One men, he has a permanent five o'clock shadow that regrows if shaved at an accelerated rate before stalling thereafter, giving a rough edge to his otherwise simple and rounded features.
His skin is a dusky golden-brown from years of work beneath the scorching sun light and radiation from working on the ZOIC Individuals and gN Drives.
A simple red tracksuit ending at his throat and extending to just past the elbow and toward each ankle adorns his body, with a series of inch thick ridges overlapping along the front of the torso to the naval, along the base of each shoulder to the elbow, and down the side of each hip to the ankle that cover up the zipper-lining used to seal it to his skin.
Black heat resistant gloves conceal each hand and the numerable scars crisscrossing the fingers and palm from his youth and middle-years. The right ring finger and middle finger are both short one joint from a particularly bad incident.
Likewise black boots wrap over the feet and partially atop the tracksuit at the ankle, carrying basic magnetic grips along the sole for easier work.
A black pouch on a belt wraps twice around the waist and contains the majority of his tools and notepads.

BIOGRAPHYPersonality: Usually swift and quick to react, Hikaru bears a general feeling of disgust toward the rest of the Eiseikoku Satellite Nations, and while he prefers to be around his fellow earth-bound Eiseiopians, he takes the time and effort to get along with the Remnants among the Helic Union and treat them at least as close to an equal as he can- if they deserve it.
He won't willingly work with any man or woman that holds a superior attitude, be it toward himself or anyone else. When such occurs he is more than willing to 'focus' on something else and flat out ignore them.
He does bear a degree of pride in his work among the other Thirty-One, and from time to time lets it get the better of him when he is determined he is correct. Apologizing does not come easily to his tongue, but its always sincere when it does crop up, and Hikaru will then tend to avoid the sore subject for a while thereafter as possible.
He changes over to a different mindset when working around or with the ZOIC Individual #'s they have either created or captured, becoming more quietly spoken and easier to get a reaction out of, being generally a happier person around his field of expertise and feeling more at ease despite the danger due to years of such work.
History: Born among the earth-based Eiseiopians in P.A. 372(Post Asteroid 372, roughly 2800 AD), Hikaru endured only marginally better life than those of his fellow world-based humans, the Remnants, as the united and gathered Helic Union continued to suffer losses and minimal victories in the centuries old war with the rest of the Eiseikoku Satellite Nations.
At the age of thirteen he began work on his first ZOIC individual and learning how to maintain upkeep on the few they were able to keep a hold of and utilize in defending their domain with.
He would also emerge as a member of the Thirty-One over several years, an eventuality of world-based humans capable of manifesting the traits of the higher life seen among the space-based humans through common ancestry; sharper wit, easier focus, and general increased mental acuity while retaining the indomitable spirit and will passed down from the other side.
At the age of twenty-five he had progressed enough to initiate the concept for the gN Drive with the help of several others from the Thirty-One, and over the following decade and change to reduce its size to nearly a handheld size while retaining full power.
At the moment he commands two of the available ZOIC Individual units captured and retained from the Eiseikoku Satellite Nations prior to their own progression to humanoid units.
Accomplishments: Helped produce the gN Drives, stabilized control over Eiseikoku-controlled ZOIC Individuals #9, #13-14, #17, assisted in the creation of #16, #20.
WRITTEN SAMPLE[spoiler=Writing Sample]The usual warning alarms shrieked shrilly as the field workers detected a surge of unregistered Magnite in high concentrations- a sure sign of a ZOIC Individual entering from the higher atmosphere.
Hikaru stood up from the lunch table where he and two other Eiseiopian men were quietly discussing the progression of their technology in the last few decades. "Looks like it's time to get a move on," he said simply, digging into the pouch at his right side and drawing out a small and dull-looking device slightly longer than his forearm.
The other men nodded tiredly and rushed off to their own respective stations, as he himself departed for the storage cells.
Two minutes later and he found the few awake ZOIC Individual's looking alertly out the plexiglass windows and toward a noticeable white and blue streaked comet descending toward the surface of the desert some miles out.
As he approached the nearest of the three and one of the two he kept around personally under his watch, Hikaru brought the dull device up and called out the creatures name. "Hard Bear," he said loud enough to draw its attention.
The black and silver machine turned its head toward him and then rose to all four massive paws, shambling over toward him warily. As it neared the device began to flicker from within and emit a faint gray and green toned glow of energy, linking up with the system installed inside of the ZOIC Individual nearby.
"It's time to put our partnership to the test, Hard Bear." Hikaru said to the lumbering revived-fossil as it paused before him, lowering the giant head and turning softly glowing yellow eyes upon his smaller and weaker form.
Time seemed to stand still as the seconds trickled by, human and ancient beast looking upon one another, and then it turned the head aside and knelt upon its side awkwardly, allowing him to step around and access the panel inside of the lower chest.
A few moments later and a door slid out and up, rotating on the side to reveal a tight passageway. Smiling and with the now thrumming device in hand Hikaru crawled inside and laid down upon his stomach, using the soft glow to locate the slot for it to fit into and pressing it into position.
As he did so numerable reactors awoke and the hatch inside clicked closed again, as screens depicting the Hard Bear's energy and intelligence meter flickered to attention around his head. A pair of rails emerged and he looped his ankles and middle arms through, allowing the metallic straps to settle into position against his form snugly- they would prevent him from being thrown around if the Hard Bear was knocked over.
The second Scale System activating as the gN Drive fully powered up and finished linking to the ZOIC Individual cast a soft translucent glow and the weight of the air surrounding Hikaru intensified enough to make him exhale harsher- another safety precaution to help hold his body and internal organs from being shredded when the Hard Bear shifted direction in either mid-air or underwater.
"Ready?" he asked in a slight strained tone, the faintest note of pleasure coursing in his voice. In response to his vocalized question the ZOIC Individual growled lowly and pushed up to its feet, then began a steady trot along the wide halls and off in the direction Hikaru's lunch-partners had retreated for.
Thirty seconds later and they were running over the harsh sand dunes, determined to meet the source of the latest invasion in the war against the Eiseikoku Satellite Nations.[/spoiler]
