Okay, so... I was chatting with Maki tonight, and he proposed this idea. Expansion.

As of now, we have Digimon RPGs, and Other/Original RPGs. Now, we were thinking of making that more... Having Digimon as just a Section really. Other Section Ideas we pitched were Manga/Anime, Games, SuperHero, and Original.

Alternately, we came up with the Genre Idea. Such as Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Real Life, Horror, Action/Adventure sort of deal. Of course, we can go with more suggestions for Genres and such. And also, of course, Digimon would have a section of its own. I mean our core groups have always been interested in Digimon, and it will still be a big part of the forum... But Digimon doesn't attract a lot of people.

We need more people. It's as simple as that. I know we're close knit, and expanding would bring in more strangers, and unfortunately, more n00bs. But at the same time, it will bring us new RPers with skills, and hopefully new ideas for things. Plus, we don't all love ONLY digimon, do we?

Basically, I need opinions on what we should do. Should we expand? Or stay tiny? Or what? What would you like to see as some RP sections? I mean... I'm totally up for a change of pace. Plus, we'd keep the convenience of Single-Thread RPs, but I'm sure we could expand that too, for special cases, if desired.

Anyway, tell me what you all think...

Strangers, how dare you think of bringing in more strangers. They are well strange.

Joking aside, I think expansion would be a good idea. And the media idea works well. It'd be to much hassle to make a section for every anime or manga someone wanted to make an RP for.

So the idea of Anime/manga, Games, Superhero, and Other/Original to me sounds right.

Rockman/Megaman Rp anyone, though where would that fit since that's an example of a franchise that exists, or existed, as an Anime, a manga, and video games.

But then again since it has existed as all three it could easily fit into either anime/manga or games.

I can't think of any other categories right now, but if I do I'll be sure to let you know.

Try it. It can't hurt to try and attract new members or affiliates. Have you affiliated with other sites before?

I say go for it, we've got like, what, 8 active members? It can't hurt to get a few more people in here, at least enough so you don't end up with the same five people in every RP.

If I may throw in my opinion as a guest these days, I would say yes to expanding. As you yourself stated, once the floodgates are open more inexperienced players will begin to crop up, but among them there are bound to be some whom will polish up over time to be worth roleplaying with.

I'd conclude as well with Manga/Anime, Original, and Video Games.

The only Genre I would question is Real Life. I haven't seen much in the way of RP's performed in that setting, so I can not give support or rejection for it.

I suggest we expand, because the worst that happens is we ask people to come and decide they are not our people. Then we ask them to leave.

I think the genre idea is cool, and a nice change of pace from other things.
