PLOT
The Region of Kyutoh is a flourishing, and wonder filled world. Creatures roam all around, many tamed, many more wild. These creatures are known as Pokemon. For as long as anyone can remember, humans and Pokemon have lived side-by-side--working together to achieve their goals. Today, humans known as 'Trainers' command their Pokemon allies in battle, fighting against others, and eventually growing stronger so that they may one day be labeled a Champion. At the age of 15, nearly every youth becomes a Trainer.

As of now, Kyutoh is in a time of prosperity. The amount of trainers is increasing, and it has brought the region funding, and advancing research, and numerous things that allow it to succeed. Every seems to be happy--especially after the last incident.

Five years ago, a group known as Axis, tried to take control of the region. They attempted to break down and conquer the region, with the cruel use of Pokemon. However, they were stopped... stopped by a band of young, but determined Trainers. The 4 remaining were labeled as the Heroes of Kyutoh--they currently hold positions among the E4, and are considered some of the strongest Trainers in the region.

Thanks to their efforts, Kyutoh came back from near-destruction. Today, it's as if that never happened. Not long ago, a young man by the name of Darien Black, defeated the Elite 4--the first one in a long while--and took his spot as the Champion of the region.

However, three days ago, that Champion suddenly went missing. Many have been out searching, but to no avail. It is a wonder where the mysterious champion has gone, but nonetheless, life goes on.

The anniversary of Axis' defeat is fast approaching. A tournament is being held in honor of it. Trainers from all around the Kyutoh region are flocking to Carnelia City to partake in this great Tournament.

What crazy things are in store for the Trainers that compete? One can only imagine...

GUIDELINES
[spoiler=Guidelines]
1. POSTING. Well, you know I usually operate. A post every few days, otherwise I'll update without you. If you don't post for a period of time, without previous warning, I will remove you from the RP. It won't be too hard to kill you in this setting. ._.

2. LEGENDARY POKEMON. No Legendaries are allowed in your Pokemon list. Pseudo-Legendary, I will allow.

3. POKEMON. In general, I'll allow duplicating pokemon. However, I don't want 6 Eevees floating among us. Now, everyone will have ONE signature Pokemon. List that as your first, and NO ONE else will have that Pokemon. It'd be nice if we could avoid making the first 3 Pokes the same as well. I just don't want 3 Squirtles running around either. Just look at other Pokemon before you apply and try to limit the duplicates. NPCs/E4s aren't such a big deal...

Also, you only need to make information for the first 3 that you have. If you want, you can add the later 3, but it isn't required as of now. THOUGH, it would be a good idea to at least list them, for organizational purposes.

4. STARTER POKEMON. All Trainers must have their own Pokemon before they are allowed to be an official trainer. How you got this first Pokemon is up to you(be sure to include information in your History). Maybe it was a gift, or you caught it, or it found you, or whatever. Whatever you can come up with is fine. Once you have a starter Pokemon, you go get a PokeDex and PokeBalls, and all that, from a local PokeCenter/Professor. Remember, you need at least ONE Pokemon, before you can become a Trainer. 'Starters' won't exist here.

Oh, and you have to be 15 or older to become an official Trainer. We may see younger kids that call themselves Trainers, but they can't compete in gym battles, nor combat wild Pokemon. They can only enter controlled situations, such as Tamer battles--even though the outcome of these battles has no effect on either party.

5. MOVES. Each Pokemon will remember their moves throughout the RP. As of now, they're only going to have around 4-5, expect the Pokes to be around level 15-20ish. IF you really want, you can have an evo, but I'd rather see most of them happen in-RP.

6. EVOLUTION. Things like 'trading' for evolution won't exist. Things such as stones, or dependent on happiness, or evolution-by-location will exist, albeit the latter a bit fixed to fit this Region.

7. POKEMON CLASS. In the sign up, below 'NAME' will be 'Pokemon Class'. That is your Trainer Class in short. I want one of each Class, like a Breeder, or a Trainer, or a Coordinator. Etc. You can more or less make up your own if you really want. This coincides with your 'Goal/Aspiration', and possibly Team Focus.

8. TEAM FOCUS. This is what your character offers to the team. Gen is the Strategist, which means he's good at strategics, weaknesses, etc, basically. Things like Navigator, or 'Medic' or, 'Defensive', whatever you can come up with. We're going to make an efficient team, so try to cover all corners of the team.

9. GYMS AND GYM LEADERS. They will be placed all around this region, however, we will not challenge them particularly. I intend to have my character take on Gyms, as per his aspirations. If you really want to, you can as well, just let me know, and we'll work it in. No more than like 2 people should do gyms, though. We won't have a lot of time to do Gyms part way into the RP anyway, so...

On a side note, Gym Leaders will actually LEAVE THEIR GYMS in this RP. They'll be epic trainers that'll help us out. I'll let players opt to play a gym leader or two, but as usual, discuss with me first. Along with the E4...

If you'd like to just have a small part in this RP, register for a gym leader spot. You'll show up occasionally throughout the RP. You don't need to have a main to make a gym leader. I'll be making a gym leader sheet here soon.

10. ELITE 4. The Elite 4 are the group of former heroes mentioned in the plot. The four of them saved the Region from Axis 5 years ago. They eventually took seats in the E4. The Champion won't be seen in RP for a while, so let's just forget about him for now... Note that the E4, as played by myself, Xion, and BT, will also hold a bigger part in the story.

11. GEAR. In the sign up, there's a section for this. Describe/show a picture of your character's 'bag'. Go wild with the designs, I don't have any prerequisites for these. And items will be Pokedex, Pokegear, or other essential survival items. Potions, and other in-game items can be in here too. You can include things like flashlights and whatever too--whatever you think you'd need for a Pokemon Journey. I don't need to know numbers, or great details. Just a broad stroke.

12. UNIVERSE LAWS. Ash, Misty, etc, and co, will exist in this universe. But honestly, we won't ever see them. Ash is known as a Legendary Hero.

13. PROFILE IMAGE INFO. Now, remember DR's image rules. I want everyone to show the little GenV sprite for their Pokemon, as seen in my profile. However, you need to separately upload the images to photobucket, or some other image hoster. No hotlinking D<

14. KYUTOH REGION. It's the region we all live in. There's a bit more details on what's in there below(or will be as we move through the RP). Anyway, this region has all the Pokemon up to date running around.

Carnelia City
Carnelia city is the 2nd largest city in the entire Kyutoh Region. It's lush and green, surrounded by vast, tree-covered hills, and a spring-like temperature all year round. The city is also houses the Region's largest Pokedome, and tends to be the location of many, major tournaments. It is also the city in which the Pokemon League has stationed it's largest center. This is where A LOT of trainers begin their journey. And considering it's only a short trip away from Turquoise Bay(which leads to the Elite 4), it's also one of the last stops a Trainer takes as well.

Carnelia also happens to have one of the best sunset viewing spots, known as Sunset Hill--many people travel all the way here just to see quite possibly, some of the most beautiful sunsets in all the region. When the sun sets or rises around the city, it leaves it in an amber-like glow, making it quite a sight wherever one might be.

Full Name: General "Gen" Grayson
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: Gen stands at 5'6", and has stark-white hair, and a pair of ruby-red eyes. He has a slim, yet athletic frame. He dresses in a white, black stripped long-sleeve shirt, also with a couple red markings. He keeps the sleeves rolled above his elbows, usually. He wears a black bandana on his head, with a white Pokeball design on it. His pants are a dark maroon, and his shoes, white, black, and red in color.

Personality: Gen is a relatively nice, but quiet kid. He doesn't like confrontation, and will usually shy away from it. He does, however, like a good Pokemon battle--even if he doesn't believe himself to be any good at it, he actually really is. It's more or less 'in his blood'.

General is also very good with Pokemon--probably even better than with people. He can understand a Pokemon's emotion pretty easily--and that goes for some humans as well. He's really quite good at reading and inspecting things around him. His keen observation, of people, Pokemon, AND his surroundings, is part of what makes him a good Trainer.

Gen also has a huge fear of women. Well, not so much a fear, as just trouble with them. If he talks to a pretty girl, he blushes quite a lot. It gets even worse if they flirt with him. His own mother believes a kiss might quite possibly kill him. This is a big part of what makes Gen so reserved and bad with people; he gets shy and embarrassed WAY too easily. He tends to also keep his own problems to himself, not wanting to push them onto others.

Gen, however, will get vocal and outspoken about one thing. If anyone messes with his friends, his Pokemon, or anyone he truly cares about--the boy will abandon his self-confidence issues, and devote himself fully to them. He's strongly protective of those he is close to. He has been known to defend the 'underdogs' so to speak, as well--as he really identifies with them.

History: Gen was born and raised in Jasper City, by his mother, Willa Grayson. He had no siblings. For as long as Gen can remember, his father has been absent for his life. According to his mother, he's been on a long journey across the world--but without so much as a call, or letter, or any sort of communication, Gen believes he's abandoned them, or perhaps worse.

Either way, he and his mother lived comfortably. She made her living working as a Pokemon babysitter, raising Pokemon for Trainers, while they were busy with other things. She made quite a fair bit of money doing this as well. It also gave Gen a great deal of knowledge and know-how when it came to Pokemon, and raising them. His mother also helped refine him as a Trainer, revealing that she too was a Trainer back in her days.

Gen was given an Eevee, which was named Esper, by his mother, when he was 6. The two of them have been together ever since. Being Gen's first Pokemon, he and Esper had grown quite close. When he was about 10, Gen took Espeer out to combat a wild Pokemon. He was grossly overconfident, and challenged a wild Arbok. The battle was quick, leaving the Eevee severely injured--luckily enough, Gen's mother found them in time, and battled off the Arbok.

Gen felt terrible guilt and fear at nearly losing his Pokemon. Ever since then, he's been nervous to enter the Pokemon into any fight. It's a large basis for his lack of confidence. The boy still feels guilt for the incident today, and acts overly cautious.

By the time Gen turned 15, he was ready to become a Trainer, despite his fears of doing so. His mother had taught him a lot, and urged him to participate. She felt it would help build the boy's poor self-esteem. About 2 months before his 16th birthday, he finally registered, got his Pokedex, and set off on his own Pokemon Journey.

For a birthday present, he was given a Cyndaquil, which he promptly named Koji. Around that time, Esper also Evolved into an Espeon. Currently, Gen has been on his journey for 3 months now, and has managed to defeat two gyms... He is currently on his way to Carnelia City to enter the tournament.

Gear: Gen carries a red and black bag, with a single strap that runs over his shoulder. This strap is what he keeps his Pokeballs on. He carries a number of potions, antidotes, and other typical trainer items. He also has a small medical kit, just in case. He keeps a flashlight, as well as a blanket, as well as a fishing rod, and an assortment of other, useful items. In short, he's got everything a Trainer would need.

His Pokedex is white with a black pokeball design, and his pokegear is the same colors.

Goals/Aspirations: To become a good Pokemon Trainer, perhaps even find a way to defeat the Elite 4. His main concern, however, is proving to himself that he can accomplish a Trainer's journey. Therefore, the boy challenges any Gym leaders he can, and enters any tournaments he is able to.

Personality: Koji is a chipper little Pokemon. He enjoys combat, and being active. He loves attention to death, and often, goes to extremes to seek it. He's rash, and a bit reckless, but a reliable and strong battler.

Personality: Esper, or sometimes 'Espee' has been Gen's Pokemon since he was 6 years old. Esper is generally a pretty calmly Pokemon, and tends to look out for the others in their team, who are younger. She acts as a protective, motherly figure, more or less reflecting Gen's own mother.

Appearance: Leah stands at 5'5", and has a slim, athletic frame. She has brown hair that falls to around her shoulder-blades, but she usually has it up in a ponytail. She typically wears a purple shirt, a white skirt, black pants, and a pair of light brown boots.

Personality: Leah is generally a polite girl, she usually has a moderately friendly demeanor. She is respectable when she needs to be, as well, and tends to make friends easily enough... However, Leah has a scary, scary temper. If she's crossed in any way, she's liable to start smacking people around. She is a very skilled trainer, well versed in the use of normal type Pokemon, and tends to know A LOT about several types of moves. She's tactical as well, making her quite a fierce opponent.

Gear: She has a black supply pack on her right hip, filled with an assortment of potions, status recovery meds, a first aid kit, a flashlight, a rope, and several other needed things. She comes quite prepared.

Leah has a newer Pokedex, lavender colored and white. Her pokegear is black and lavender.

Team Focus: Leah is quite a strategist, and focuses on finding and exploiting weaknesses.

Full Name: Dash Aldon

Gender: Male
Appearance: Dash has dark-brown hair, and a pair of eyes to match. He has quite a toned frame, and usually wears fitting shirts to accentuate it. He typically wears a black, fitted tanktop, a pair of dark-blue cargo jeans, and black shoes. He wears a black Pokebelt to hold his Pokemon around his waste. He also has a blue and white jacket, and a pair of black sunglasses. He also has a baseball cap that matches his jacket, though he doesn't usually wear it anymore.

Personality: Dash is a happy-go-lucky sorta guy. He's quite a goofball, and loves to eat. He LOVES a good battle, and tends to get overly fired up when it gets serious. He's hot headed and reckless, especially in battles, and comes off as a complete idiot sometimes. However, Dash is about as far from an idiot as one can get. Sure, he's goofy, but he is more than capable of handling pretty much any battle.

Dash is a commanding sort of person. He is a born leader, and knows just what to say to people to get them to come together. He's confident, and perhaps a bit cocky, but he usually doesn't lose his head. He has calmed down a lot since his youth, but is still a bit crazy sometimes.

Gear: Dash has a black pack on the left side of his waist. It's filled with potions and some other crap. To be honest, Dash doesn't really think ahead, and just grabs whatever. He usually counts on Leah, or someone else, to have some crap he can use if he needs.

His Pokedex has been swapped for the most recent version, and is silver and black. His Pokegear is red and black.

Team Focus: Dash is unorthodox. His main strategy is to make himself look open and retarded as all hell... However, any idiot that actually falls for this is swiftly beaten. Dash does take combat seriously often enough though, and in that case, he can be focused and highly observant of what's going on around him.

Personality: Red is a firm, overbearing Pokemon. He comes off as frightening at first glance, due to his large size. However, he can actually be quite playful. Red is fiercely protective of those around him, and can be quite ferocious in battle.

Appearance: Amber stands 5'2'' with an athletic build. She's got waist length golden blonde hair and bright blue eyes. While she's a pretty girl with out it, Amber accentuates her looks with a bit of make up. Typically blue eyeshadow that matches the colors of her blue blue nails. Wardrobe wise, she's got a very glamorous punk style of fashion. The long vest like over shirt (black training bra underneath despite it being absent in the pics), mid thigh length skirt and knee high boots all accented in golden yellow, black and white colors. Amber is also almost always sporting a pair of black headphones and has a compact disc like buckle hanging from her belt.



Personality: Amber has a sunny, flirty and cool laid back personality. She's the kind of girl who goes with the flow and doesn't really let anything get to her. As such, she's able to get along well with different kinds of people, which is good because she's always on the look out for new friends and people to hang out with. She especially loves the people who take themselves way too seriously and likes the challenge of softening them up. Or those people who are too hard on themselves and she likes to tell them to take a chill pill and not beat themselves up. She's got a way of being the cool big sis type when her friends (human or pokemon) need her most. Her friends are dear and she just wants whats best for them.

Amber not being the totally serious type, is a fan of comedy and laughter. She makes jokes and puns no matter how corny they may be. Sometimes she'll make them just because they're corny and amusing. The only thing Amber becomes really serious about is her music and coordinating. Amber loves music. She's a talented singer and dancer and as such usually uses her talents to choreograph for her pokemon during contests. She drives herself hard and her pokemon. It's because while she's laid back, she's also got a strong heart and will of determination to succeed and to never give up. It's something learned from both her parents, something she shares with her pokemon and friends.

Looking at Amber's collection of pokemon, one will notice that almost all of them are of the cutsey kind. This is because Amber suffers from severe Cuteness Proximity. Any cute pokemon she comes across, she has to shower it with love, snuggles or try to catch it.

History: Amber was born in Lazuli City to two loving parents. Her father is the current Lazuli Gym Leader, Cadmus ("Cad" as he's usually known by), a dragon type trainer. Her mother, Zalina, is a supermodel. Cad and Zalina had Amber when they were 19 and 18 respectfully. Back then, Cad was still an aspiring dragon type master and Zalina aspiring to be a model. So from an early age, Amber was influenced by both parents in training pokemon and glamor. It was only natural that when she became of age to set out on her own journey, she aspired to combine the two and aspire to be a Coordinator.

When the old leader retired, Cad became the new Gym Leader in Lazuli City at the age of 25 achieving his goals and around the same time, Zalina was on her way to becoming a top model. As a little girl, Amber herself was entered into Beauty Pageants and has some first place trophies and ribbons. On the other side of things, she also enjoyed helping her father around the gym and helping to raise Pokemon. Amber received her first pokemon egg at the age of 7, which hatched into a Bagon, which she named Rover.

The day after her 16th birthday, Amber decided it was time for her to start off on her own Pokemon Journey to become a Coordinator. Her Bagon, now a Salamence after being raised by her father, was left home and Amber received Dratini as a starter pokemon. While she was reluctant to leave her father at the gym alone since her mother is always away on business, she was encouraged by her father to go on ahead and not worry about him. Since then, Amber has been traveling through the region competing in contests, sightseeing and the like. Currently she's earned two out of 5 ribbon's needed to compete in the region's Grand Festival and hoping to get her 3rd in Carnelia City.

Gear: Amber has a yellow designer tote bag with a black strap. It has two front pockets that buckle close and two side pockets that zip shut as well as the large flap that opens for access to the inside of the bag and snaps shut in the front over the two front pockets.

Seeing as I'm going to be fairly busy over the next month and a half - but still really want to join - I think I'll take a gym leader position.

I thought I'd just chuck the idea I have up to get the all clear before I start a profile. If it all looks good to you we can discuss it further.

- I'll take the rock gym.
- My idea is to have the character as sort of a cavegirl. She'll look like one, and be very wild and unpredictable, and she'll spend a lot of time in the wilderness.
- Following this theme, she'll have a team of fossil Pokemon.

Full Name: Haz Paracel Corrosa
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: Haz is a short purple eyed girl of african descent. She stands roughly 4'9 and typically wears a jacket that's 3 sizes too large along with a pair of purple sunglasses. Her hair is a dark cocoa and done into two pigtail dreads tied by a pair of white bows. She's usually covered in band-aids due to the pletora of nicks and scratches she ends up getting throughout her daily escapades.

Personality: A rather bubbly girl with a serious sugar addiction, Haz's almost constantly seen downing one or twelve of those sugarized energy drinks at any given time. As a result she's incredibly hyper and a total motormouth. As a downside however, she crashes, and she crashes hard. It isn't uncommon at all for her to pass out right in the middle of a match. Haz believes the past is old news and the future is unpredictable, and so instead lives by the minute, having the most fun she can at the time with the given situation. A jokester and a kluts, Haz is easily fooled and far too trusting for her own good, taking rumors or suspicions she hears as scientific fact, which can lead to some awkward situations. Her constant sugar high leads to a perpetually upbeat mood, only further enabled by her 'live in the moment' additude. This tends to rub off on those around her, making her a surprisingly social person who is genuinely fun to have around. She does however have a habit of egging people on and encouraging some less-than-acceptable behaviors, giving her a bit of a reputation with local law enforcement.

History: Born in Pyrite city, Haz was in some ways a very fortunate soul. Her father was the owner of a successful gym and a gifted trainer, and he gave Haz and her brother sister everything they needed to succeed from the very start. Haz however, was always one step behind her brother, usually much to busy playing around to focus on training. The more her brother passed her by, the less she tried to catch up. She expected the leadership position to fall into her lap, as most things had until that point. That is, until the day her father announced he was leaving to start a new gym in Unova......and left her brother in charge. The girl because utterly furious that her gym was being run by her stupid brother instead of her. Though she tried several times to beat him in a fight for the gym, she lost every match. Eventually the girl, fumming with jealousy, vowed she would defeat her brother and claim her rightful and destined place as the Pyrite city gym leader, to which her brother's only answer was "bring it." Fast forward to present day, Haz is traveling through Carnelia, hoping that by beating local trainers and wild pokemon she can get strong enough to win back her gym.

Gear: A cell phone, a gym card, and at least 6 gallons worth of energy drinks stuffed into her backpack.

Goals.Aspirations: As stated, Haz wishes to surpass her brother. For two reasons. One so she can put that little know it all in his place, and two so she can reclaim the gym she so rightfully deserves.

Team Focus: Annoyance. Haz uses status effects, confusion, and trickery to win her matches rather than raw force.

Personality: A relatively addition, Nugget is friendly if a bit timid, and can sometimes get a little too touchy feely with people it meets. He prefers to remain outside of the pokeball curled up on Haz's shoulder, so long as the weather is nice. Haz thinks he's adorable(hence why she bothered to catch it) and has taught him some special manuevers to overcome his relative weakness.

She lives and breaths battle and is more than ready at any given moment to leap into the fray. One of Haz's favorite pokemon since she's the only girl on her team.

Personality: Qwilfish is very strange, even by the standards Haz has set. He seems to be an oddly territorial pokemon, puffing himself up to twice his original size the minute anyone who isn't Haz gets too close. While he isn't much use outside of the water, Qwilfish makes an excellent, if slightly hazardous, water transport pokemon; being just large enough to support one person comfortably. He usually remains at the gym with Ace unless Haz needs him.

Personality: Quite an aloof pokemon, Swalot is spoiled by Haz, who thinks he's just the cutest thing ever despite popular consensus. He takes this girly skweeing in stride, barely even reacting to it. Because of this constant attention he expects the same reaction from everyone he meets, and can grow quite confused when they run off yelling because he tried to hug them. Puts on a tough front in battle, but he's still just a big softy.

Appearance: Ace is a bespectacled young man of african decent standing roughly 5'11 and quite a bit taller than his younger sister. He commonly wears a random T-shirt, usually with a pop culture reference on it, along with baggy cargo shorts and a peculiar set of arm bands. His hair, like Haz is pulled back into dreads, a habit he picked up from his father.

Personality: Ace has a serious, calm, and focused personality in everything he does. He takes his job as both a brother and the Pyrite gym leader very seriously. In fact, he seems to treat any competative activaty seriously, putting forth his best effort to prove he is in fact, the best. Sometimes this can get ahead of himself however, and overdue things a little bit. Like his sister he two seems to have developed an addiction to energy drinks, though more due to his active lifestyle than simple sugary goodness. This isn't to say the boy is all work and no play, as he does have quite a cocky side. This tends to surface most often during battles, peculiarly in the form of rapping. He will use his subpar lyrical skills to trash talk his opponent during the fight.

History: Born in Pyrite city, Ace was always a very fortunate soul. His father was the owner of a successful gym and a gifted trainer, and he gave the him and his sister everything they needed to succeed from the very start. Being exposed to the world of pokemon battling from a young age, Ace fell right in step on the road to taking over the family business as the Pyrite city gym leader. He recieved personal lessons from his father aswell as rare and unique pokemon from his mother, who was a successful breeder. Eventually the time came when his father felt it was time one of them took up the mantle, and decided on Ace. He gave him one of his favorite pokemon and one that the two siblings had grown up alongside since they were kids, his Drapion. As Ace took over the Pyrite gym, his father, far from ready to retire, set up a second gym in Unova. The neighboring region allows him frequent visits to check on the gym and be sure everything was going well with his wife and kids. Ace soon put his own touch to the place, complete with his own puzzles to keep challengers guessing.


Gym City: Pyrite City

Gym Setup: Repulsion gel, yes you heard me. The gym is a series of interspaced plateforms at various heights, and the only way to reach them is to bounce your way to victory via the gel covered floor and walls. Get it right and you'll end up on the next platform and one step closer to facing the leader; get it wrong and you'll land face first in repulsion gel and have to face the various trainers lying in wait.

Ability/Nature: Sniper/Rash
Personality: A gift from his father, Drapion is Ace's strongest pokemon. Easily angered and quick to attack, Drapion is a somewhat violent pokemon. Though he wouldn't hurt people, he can get carried away in the midst of a fight occasionally, and will sometimes ignore orders in favor of his own tactics. While he's powerful, Ace is continually being forced to give him lectures when he doesn't listen. Though none of these words seem to get through to his thick skull.

Personality: Weezing is a bit of a downer, on might even call him a bit emo in fact. He always has a sad look on his face, and doesn't do much other than what he's told to do. A bit depressing in a way, or maybe that's just how he looks.

Full Name: Schrade Nowanthal
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: Schrade stands at 5'4, with simple black hair and brown eyes. He's typically seen wearing a large hooded sweater, imitating his Deino somewhat, as well as hiding his scornful gaze from the eyes of others. The rest of his clothes consist of some thick or sturdy pants and comfortable T-shirts to be worn beneath the sweater.

Personality: A stoic boy with a no-nonsense attitude, he can be considered a 'serious business' type, putting it bluntly. He has a strong dislike for most people around him, unless they benefit him in some way. Anyone else isn't worth mentioning or speaking to unless they prove themselves useful. He isn't afraid to let others know this either, which makes him rather instantly dislikable by most. The farther he can keep people, the better.

History: Schrade was born in Obsidia City, raised in a fairly stable household in the mountainous city. Though he was an only child within the household, he got along well with other children of the city. Growing up, the family had a 'pet' in the form of a uniquely-colored Hydreigon caught by his father. For the longest, it has remained with their family looking over them, giving the boy an affinity for pokemon from a young age.

One misty morning, their house had been broken into by unknown assailants seeking to steal the Hydreigon for themselves. The beast fought back, injuring several of them before retreating to the nearby mountain caves to draw their attention. Schrade, wishing to help Hydreigon, took his mother's only pokemon, a Seviper, and pursued the others. By the time he was able to reach them, however, the Hydreigon was on its last legs, unable to continue fighting... Or living. Unable to claim the creature as theirs, the assailants turned their sights on the boy, who had lost focus seeing their beloved pokemon fall before his eyes. What happened after that is unknown... Just that something had appeared from behind the others, effortlessly dispatching the majority of them before Schrade lost consciousness.

Following this incident and the burial of his father's pokemon, Schrade was given the Hydreigon's offspring as his first pokemon, forming a tight bond with the creature in short time. Subsequentially, the family learned that the attack was a result of Axis involvement, a name that would stick with the boy for the rest of his life. From this day on he would begin training, more out of malice than personal interest, to see Axis destroyed once and for all. His parents agreed to let him begin his adventure, under the belief that he would learn to change his ways and attitude by meeting others.

It's been several months since he left home, fighting and growing stronger little by little. Reinforcing his team are an Aron, caught three days after he left his home and went to the caves once more, and a Treecko, claimed from an incompetent trainer who abused their pokemon. Convinced that the people around him are weak of mind and spirit, he crushes them with little effort or care and leaves them behind, treated as stepping stones to his greatest goal... Which seems to have no end in sight beyond the tournament being held in Carnelia City in honor of Axis's defeat.

Gear: Prepared for a long journey from home, Schrade carries a black camping backpack, complete with a sleeping bag strapped atop it. Numerous pouches throughout the bag hold a variety of things, such as a map of the region, a pouch dedicated to collecting berries, as well as a persona recipe list using such berries and other materials. His Pokegear and pokedex both match the colors of his Deino, black primarily with purple highlights/pokeball.

Goals/Aspirations: Concepts he never speaks about. However, he tends to become quite bitter when there is Axis involvement in something. Taking from that, his greatest goal is to see Axis in ruins. As far as aspirations are concerned, he aspires to one day meet and tame the legendary beast he saw as a child.

Team Focus: As an adventurer who's been out on his own for quite some time, he makes it a note to discover and utilize what can be used for food, shelter, and the like. With the addition of his pokemon, he's able to discern edible fruits and vegetables, as well as find or make places to reside in.

Full Name: Abel Schneider
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Appearance: Abel stands at a height of 5'4, perhaps the smallest of the Elite 4, and likely the most unassuming. He has dark blue hair along with green eyes, giving him a bit of a friendly image in the eyes of others. He wears a sleeveless vest over a white button-top shirt, along with a pair of simple black pants.

Personality: Abel has a laid-back, relaxed personality, almost unbefitting of an Elite Four. A contrast to Aisha, he usually tries his best to not anger the girl, or be the cause of her anger. Oddly, there are some times when he doesn't mind her behavior, making some wonder if he has masochistic tendencies. At the same time, he's equally friendly with Dash and Leah, though he keeps his distance from the latter with Aisha in mind.

Gear: Abel's bag is a simple purple pouch-like bag themed after a Drifloon. It carries several potions for his pokemon, pictures of him and Aisha, a harmonica, the usual poketech, and food for both himself and his partners.

Team Focus: Ghost Pokemon expert. He specializes in dragging out battles in his favor and frustrating foes with his stalling behavior.

Appearance: Mori has short black hair that hands low in front of his deep blue eyes. He stands at about 5'11 and half with somewhat of an athletic frame to his body. He wears a black t-shirt with dark blue jeans and black and white tennis shoes. Mori sometimes wear glasses when he has to read something on paper otherwise he goes without them.

Personality:Mori has a very playful/joking personality. He loves being that guy who can make anybody laugh in the room. Mori playful personality sometimes gets him in over his head, not knowing when to lay off the jokes sometimes. But Mori is also very intelligent individual under his very playful shell, he hides the face that he is intelligent so that he could blend in with the crowd around him. Mori also loves trying new and dangerous things, never really wanting to back down from a challenge that is given to him which sometimes makes him do things that he knows he will regret latter but choose to do it anyway because it looked fun in the first place. Lastly Mori sometimes takes things to personally if not said the right way taking offense easily if it is not explained correctly.

History: Mori was born to Somi and Kila Yotesu on October 13th in Carnelia City. He was raised in the house of a former pokemon coordinator and a former pokemon trainer. Not wanting to raise their son in that environment that shielded him for any kind of pokemon. Mori always wondered why his parents kept him away from pokemon all the time telling him that they were no good for him. But Mori argued and pleaded with his parents to let him go on his own pokemon journey. His dad told him to wait till after his sixthteenth birthday and Mori had to prove that he could handle a pokemon of his own. When Mori sixthteenth birthday came around he showed that he had what it took to raise a pokemon of his own. But Mori had to wait one more year because he gotten in trouble by sneaking out one night to go taurus tipping. After Mori turned seventeen and stayed out of trouble for one whole year his parents said that it was okay for him to start his very own journey. Before Mori could leave though his dad pulled him to the side and gave him his lucky ace of spades necklace wanting Mori to have it so it would bring him good luck; Mori gripped it tightly before placing it around and his neck and waving to his parents goodbye.

Appearance: Cad is a really big guy. He stands at 6'5'' with a powerful muscular build. He's got tanned skin, blue eyes and spiky blonde hair. Cad is usually dressed in leather pants and a fuchsia shirt left open that exposes his toned torso. Her also wears fingerless gloves and a black string necklace strung through dragon teeth.

Personality: Cad is a man's man through and through. He spends most of his day training with his pokemon keeping them in tip top shape like himself. When he's not training or tending to his pokemon, he is usually kicked back and relaxing by the pool with a nice cold beer.

While Cad may be a hard ass towards most, he can become a big softie when it comes to his pokemon and his daughter, Amber. Naturally as her father, he's protective of her and so he always feels that he needs to give out warnings towards any guys he sees with her, friends or not.

Cad is also a ladies man. Yes, he's happily married to a beautiful model and he absolutely loves her....but it doesn't stop his eye from wandering and the occasional playful flirting with other women.

History: Cad was actually born and raised in Lazuli City. When he was a child, he spent a lot of time with the past city gym leader, Gerrard, who became a mentor for Cad. So he's been exposed to dragon types since he was kid and learned the ropes of running a gym as he volunteered to help Gerrard run it. When Cad hit age 15, he embarked on his own pokemon journey.

Over said journey, Cad traveled across the Kyutoh region and has even journeyed to the other regions of the world. He completed against various gyms and championships, ranking coming in 7th place in the Jhoto League, 12th place in the Kanto League, 3rd place in the Hoenn League and is a champion of the Kyutoh League.

Since he was 17 years old, Cad had his eye on a blonde beauty and aspiring model named Zalina. During a trip home when he was 18 years old, he and Zalina had finally made their relationship official. After a night spent together, Cad went back to traveling. It was only a few months later that he received the news that Zalina was pregnant with his daughter. Cad of course was a good guy and returned hom to do the right thing. He married proposed to Zalina, she excepted, they got married. A while later they had the baby and named her Amber.

Cad remained home to help take care of his wife and Amber. When Amber was 6 years old, Cad encouraged his wife to go after her modeling career while he took care of their little girl. Even with being a full time father, Cad helped his old mentor Gerrard with the Lazuli City Gym, Unfortunately Gerrard was elderly and had fallen ill. Before he died, Gerrard passed the gym on to Cad, who's been the beloved Lazuli gym leader since.

Gym Set-Up: The Lazuli City Gym's set up is simple. Inside the gym, the decor is like a small scaled version of a valley. A man built stream running through while towering crags of rock and grass laid across the gym that maintained and kept green throughout the seasons. The battle field is a rocky terrain. The gym's dome roof opens up allowing for a fresh breeze to sweep through. During a battle, battle field is actually lifted up and suspended 10 feet in the air by remote control.

Full Name: Lloyd Vanilla
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: Lloyd stands at 5'7'' with a slim build. When he set out for his journey, he really didn't have any real traveling clothes, anything that could last out in the wilds, so he opted for a semi formal attire thinking that layers would keep him warm, and the semi formal appearance would at least dissuade people from thinking he was a threat.

Personality: Lloyd is a rather eccentric young man with a mindset geared towards research. His fascination does lie with Pokemon, but it is a purely scientific one. He's not interested in battling and does not care much for competitions, focusing rather in what can be learned through observation and testing. THeir health, history and evolution are at the forefront of his mind as he deals with this strange creatures. To him they are tools, subjects to be tested on. He holds no particular attachment to them, and will not think twice in abandoning one if their usefulness has been outlived. He was once classified as a monster for his uncaring nature by the children of his hometown, but the parents disregarded such a term and in its stead labeled him intelligent. He's analytical to a fault and rarely understands the social dynamic. He's blunt and straightforward but not because he aims to be rude but rather because he does not see the need to dance around the matter at hand. Quicker the resolution, quicker he can focus on something else. He is social, he loves to talk and is fond of making new friends, but always with the knowledge that they merely impede on his research. Some would say he's searching for something more than what can be found in beakers and labs, but he would dismiss that as sentimental dribble and continue on with his research.


History: Lloyd is an only child to a mother and father both of whom are distinguished in their field. His father a professor on Pokemon history and his mother a cordinator of some reknown. His mother was always away on trips and competitions and while Lloyd did attend a few as a child, he became weary of their illusions of beauty and splendor. It was always one show after another never really learning anything, always striving for self satisfaction. It bored and bothered him to the point where he began to read while at these competitions. His curiosity opened up as he read the history of the Pokemon lapras. It was in this single book that he became obsessed with learning as much as he could about Pokemon. Not in the fashion his father did who merely studied where the pokemon came from or how they came to be, or his mother who was obsessed with how they could turn a move suited for battle into a brilliant display. No, Lloyd became obsessed with learning about Pokemon as they were now, and how they progress. Book after book he consumed over the years as he endeavored to learn what he could about Pokemon. His field of study started out broad, learning about Pokemon in a general sense, then he began to delve into parameters of a pokemon, then attributes and abilities. He became obsessed with abilities, not just what they do or how they can be used, but where and how they originated. Soon he started studying habitats. He wanted to corolate living conditions with the abilities a Pokemon learn.

Lloyd's first Pokemon was a Nidoking whom Lloyd named "Test Subject #1" and later shortened it to T-1. Nidoking started off as a Nidorino that his father caught for Lloyd upon his request. Lloyd became fascinated with Poison pokemon after learning of the Gym leader from Pyrite City, Ace Corrosa, and his powerful Drapion. His fascination was not on the pokemon or the gym leader themselves, but rather on the Status Ailment Poison. He wanted to know more and more about that particular ailment. To do that he needed a poison pokemon and Nidorino was given to him. Of course he told his dad he just wanted a really cool and mean looking Pokemon with horns, he knew his dad would never get him a poison pokemon if he knew what his intentions were. Upon Nidorino's capture, Lloyd became dejected, Nidorino was not what he was hoping for. Nidorino was a disappointment. Through reading, he discovered the a Nidorino could be evolved into a Nidoking with a moon stone. Acquiring one was easy, Lloyd's father kept a collection of stones in his study on display. The stone was stolen, the stone was used, and Nidoking came to be.

It was a rough start. Lloyd was nowhere near experienced enough to handle the violent outbursts of T-1. Since it was immediately evolved from Nidorino, his skillset was rather limited, but more than that, his skill level was at a lower level than most Nidoking. A fact that Lloyd took into effect when he loosed his Nidoking upon an unsuspecting Oshawott. It was an easy capture for Lloyd, Nidoking trampled over the small water pokemon with ease. Oshawott was Lloyd's second pokemon and was quickly raised to be a proficient Dewott. With Dewott in hand, Lloyd began the grueling process of teaching and training his Nidoking. Dewott was now a match to Nidoking, but more than that, he had the psycological advantage. Nidoking hate water. One Water Sport and Nidoking gave in to Lloyd's demands.

What prompted Lloyd's journey was a magazine article. It stated that a Pokemon, regardless of the region or eviroment that it's in, would learn the same skillset at the same time. Lloyd wanted to prove that wrong. It's because of this reason, that at the age of 16, Lloyd set out of Carnelia City to see the world with T-1 and his other test subjects in tow.


Gear: Lloyd's focus is collecting data and therefore carries a wide array of tools. Binoculars, Flashlight, spade, several plastic containers to name a few. He carries a wide assortment of notebooks to collect his data in. Incidently he carries only 2 pens and 2 pencils not bothering to carry more, a habit that sooner or later will get him into trouble. In his left pants pocket he carries a PoekGear, one given to him by his mother and father so that they could stay in contact. It's an old Hoehn model, nothing like the new ones. But Lloyd likes it much better, asthetically anyways. The new ones remind him too much of Pokedexes. His first week out of his hometown was full of disaster. He was, by all regards, unprepared for traveling. He did not have sleeping bags, cooking utensils nor any fresh water. It was through the luck of the draw that he met a fellow trainer and when that fellow was asleep, stole every last bit of gear from the unfortunate lad. Needless to say, Lloyd is now fully prepared for the wilds.

Goals/Aspirations: Lloyd's goals are always short term. At the moment his goal is to prove that pokemon of the same species do not learn the same techniques regardless of region. His hypothesis is that the region denotes what abilities a pokemon of a particular species will learn. Once he has accomplished this goal, he'll discover something else he wants to learn and so forth. His search never stops and his goals keep him driven. His father once told him that he lacked a dream or an aspiration that would drive him to be a better person. Lloyd retorted by saying he was a good person, his goal was to become a brighter one.

Team Focus: Lloyd's constant research into Pokemon attributes and abilities have made him a master at manipulating his opponent. He is proficient in exploiting a pokemon's natural weakness as well as their individual one dragging the battle out. It was a school teacher that once said that Lloyd's style of combat is much like the plague. Once you've contracted it, it's a slow and painful death. Once Lloyd has gathered the data necessary, the battle then becomes his. It was this same teacher that christened him the Black Death, a title known only to that teacher and Lloyd. His style is not head on, even when data has been collected. It uses the terrain and the eviroment around him to maximize his pokemon's abilities and skillset to the highest degree, at times in rather unorthodox ways much the same as his Mother does during pokemon competitions.

Personality: T-1 is in one word volatile. He is explosive, passionate and at times, A raging hulk. His mood swings are destructive and vicious at the same time. They don't last long, but when he's having a fit, nothing gets through to him. It takes physical force to restrain him and even then, only if he hasn't reached a certain point. Once that point has been crossed, he must be knocked out. Aside from his mood swings, T-1 is a fiercely loyal Pokemon and will defend Lloyd with everything that he has. Very rarely does T-1 associate himself with others, he sees himself as a liability, but as of late he has come to like spending time with his team members.

Personality: Dewott is a very happy go lucky kind of Pokemon. He loves to express himself and loves to compete. His favorite sport is baseball and his favorite team the Magikarps. Dewott has been known to play a few games, terribly, but games nonetheless. His role on the team is as mediator. He acts as a Nidoking deterrent keeping the raging Pokemon in check and a subsequent bridge for T-1 to the others. Much like T-1, Dewott is fiercely loyal to Lloyd, but on a different scale. He sees Lloyd as a friend, and tries to make sure the boy is happy.

Species: Torkoal
Gender: Male
Ability/Nature: White Smoke/Bold
Personality: TK is like Lloyd, no regards for others, he sees something he likes and he goes for it. TK is the most vocal of Lloyd's pokemon and tend to acts as unofficial team leader, sometimes even trying to order around Nidoking. He loves Steamed Buns and jelly rolls.
Attacks: Ember, Withdraw, Fire Spin, Smokescreen,


Nickname: C2
Species: Castform
Gender: Female
Ability/Nature: Forecast/Brave
Personality: C2 is the female of the group and she makes sure no one forgets it. She tends to be far more levelheaded than the others in the team, even more so than Lloyd. What Lloyd lacks in emotions, C2 more than makes up for them. It's because of these emotional ties that she's the first one in a battle and the last one out. She would rather shoulder the burden than allow the others. She's devoted to her friend Rotom, or R3 as Lloyd named him, and acts as a restraint for him. She tends to keep R3 out of trouble, and together the 2 are an amazing duo. Her feelings for Lloyd are a bit mixed. She likes lloyd, but at the same time sees what he's lacking and wishes he would just open himself up more.

Nickname: R3
Species: Rotom
Gender: Genderless
Ability/Nature: Levitate/Impish
Personality: Rotom is regaded as the trickster of the group. Always playing games, always joking, always trying to have fun. At times, at the expense of others. Rotom can get a bit out of control sometimes, and that's were the others step in to calm him down. Of the group, Castform is the one that acts as his reality check, much the same way that Dewott does for Nidoking. Rotom is fond of Lloyd for his inability to take jokes, and is devoted to Castform.
Attacks: Trick, Tunder Wave, Thunder Shock, Confuse Ray.

Gender: Male
Ability/Nature: Trace/Gentle
Personality: Kirlia is the last to join the team and is therefore seen as the new guy. He's strong, smart and brave. He enjoys to dance and sing and read trying to find peace within himself. This does not mean he does not fight. He enjoys the thrill of battle far more so than the others. He tends to come at a fight in a rather unique manner than the others, confusing and outsmarting his opponents waiting for his chance to strike, but this is a compliment to Lloyd's fighting style. He is a nurturer by nature and tends to look out for the team. He strives to make sure that their self esteem is high and if allowed, makes sure that they are nourished. Like Dewott, Kirlia is one of the caretakers of Nidoking often getting more results with his gentle persuasion than Dewotts forceful nature. A fact Lloyd has taken into account. Kirlia's feelings to his trainer are steadfast. He has come to love Lloyd in the short time that they've been together and is devoted to him as much as Nidoking or Dewott. He sees as Lloyd as his charge and will defend him as fiercely as the others.
