Koro stopped spinning to keep from getting tired or dizzy, a lesson well learned after mastering the technique. As a result, he took a direct hit from Dargo's attack in the back. His gear-hands struck the ground after their flight, but it wasn't as a result from the hit. Koro spun around, the seam o nhis face opening to refeal a metallit blackness inside as Koro's voice came from the opening, "Darkness Gear!"

Unlike his normal initiation of the attack, smaller black gears spun form the opening in larger numbers then what he could muster with his hands. At least six shot out towards Dargo in a dangerous dance of spinning metal. The opening closed soon after and left the Hagurumon to back away slowly fro mthe Gabumon.

Grinning like a mad mon, Bael spread out both gloved hands, chaneling his control over both fire and ice into seperate palms. An orb of fire collected in his left hand as a sphere of ice built in his right, and he slammed them together quickly. The fused shpere then fired straight ahead as the Impmon leapt backwards from the force.

Managing to slow hsi descent as he dove for the now aerial Terriermon, Dirge forgot his claw dive in lieu of trying to capture Eva by the ear with his talon as he went by, takign a hard slap i nthe bakc in the process whether the attack worked or not.

Onimaru got cut across the cheek in his arrempt to worm his way out of the attack, misjudging the distance the sword could reach. Shaking his head to try and ignore the pain. He leapt, hopefully over the reach of the sword, and tried to come down full force sickles first at the one who had cut him.

Seeing an opportunity after Riko had staggered, Zander let go of the cloak ad turned his body, clenching his right hand into a fist and drawing it back before taking a long step forward. He threw his right fist into a straight punch towards Riko's face as he came forward off of his normal center of balance to lengthen the punch's range.

Seeing her attack a success, Twilight unveiled herself from the surroundings and raced to get to the Tentomon before he broke free. As such, she was struck by the electricity and breifly cringed as it shot through her body like a hot iron. She finished her trip and flipped the sharp stinger on her tail around to stab at Ross, "Worm Venom!" The venom in question was only a weakening agent, and only worked for a short time.

Taking the claw to the snout, the Agumon growled loudly as it left noticable marks on his scales. Hopping back, Charon slammed his right claw into the ground, flames erupting and breakign the ground under the claw. Shortly after, Charon pulled a Chrome Digizoid axe from the ground and rushed Furl, "Battle Hawk!"

Pulling on her vines, Crystal retracted them and surveyed the damage done. Weiss told her never to stop attacking until the opponent was deleted, but she liked to tease her victims a little. Walking over to the Patamon on the ground, she extended one of her tendril-like fingers and attempted to stab the PAtamon with its poison-coated tip meant to paralyze, "Plant Shock"

Legion had just a little time to put up his gauntlet-covered arms as the rocks began to pelt him, shielding his face and chest but taking heavy blows to the rest of his body. He didn't let it go on for too long though, grunting as he flicked one finger, sending an energy shard into the air above Leelu's head. As a whirlwind of leaves overtook im and he shifted out of focus, blinking from the spot he was in, he appeared above Leelu, descending quickly downward, fists clenched together and raised high. He brought them down towards the Gatsumon's hard head in an axehandle swing.

Using the speed that came naturally to his new form, Weiss leapt high into the air just as naturally as if the wind did it. Flipping his knife over in his hand, he let his scouter eye pinpoint the area around the neck and face area, the only area not covered by armor, and threw his knife at that area, keeping himsafe from the rampaging light sabers.

Shit Rayner thought at the projectile started coming his wa. Gathering light energy into his hand, he formed an orb and thrust it forward while saying, "Hand of Fate!" The beam of holy energy met with the dark blast and exploded, searing the Angemon's front side from the heat expelled from the blast and pushing him back. Gritting his teeth in pain, his visor's vision clouded by the explosion momentarily, Rayner flailed his hand out once again, holy energy gathering at his fingertips as he shot bullets of light through the cloud, "Holy Shot!"

"Sure" Ryu said, a little unsure. He felt bad for grounding the Biyomon like he did, but he was only doing what he thought was best. Seizing the opportunity to attack first, A blade sprung from his jaws and he shot it towards the bird.

Again, Miuki took a direct hit by the flaming head, sliding back on one foot in the grass as she etingished the fireo n her paws and stopped her head fur from smoking, "Ouchies!" she cried as she rubbed her head comically.

Judge had just gotten back ot his feet when he felt the bark flow over him, "Uh..." He froze in place, trying to make his joints move to no avail.

Snorting at the Veemon's comment, but not replying, she drew power from her Digital Hazard, striking her claw against the ground once and igniting her claw into flame. As the Veemon got closer, Redemption stepped into a flaming uppercut, trying to halt Kirk's progress.

(Third combat turn, so i'll go ahead and roll the dice. I'm omitting one of the choices until later in the battle, when they've evolved more.)

Roll =6 - The Graveyard

The separate battles continued, but the landscape began to instantly shift. Tombstones sprouted like flowers out of the ground, and the sky immediately darkened as if night decided to awaken early from its grizzly slumber.

Dargo couldn’t find the words to describe what was happening as he stood and watched his surroundings change. Something brought his attention back to immediate area; a bulge in the ground beneath him caused him to react, but not quickly enough. Another tombstone emerged directly underneath him flinging his body into the air and taking the brunt of the gears. Landing in a roll, the Gabumon spit out a bit of dirt that entered him mouth.

The Agumon took the blast like a mon, as much as it hurt. Pushing him back, the force shattered one of the grave markers as he slammed into it. Mayer hit the ground hard, but landed near Dargo. They both fought to stand as Dargo spoke, “How ya doin’?”

Smoking Mayer rose to his feet, “Peachy.”

Back to back now, they tried to guess their opponents' next moves. Both took their time in devising a strategy for their separate battles, while Eva was in a bit of trouble herself. Something hard gripped her ear and she didn’t seem to be returned back to the ground. The Hawkmon seemed to have her in his grasp, “Lemme go!”

She fired her Bunny Blaster upward to her host. He might let her go, but she would rather not have his talons ripping a hole through her ear.

Backing up to give himself space to move, Graz thrust his sword forward to parry one of the sickles, but the other nicked his arm. The wound was a little deeper than he wanted, but he could manage. Pushing forward, the light sword disappeared as a ball of pink energy formed in his hand. Using it, he fired it directly toward at Onimaru.

Catching the blow across the face, Riko hit the ground hard. Zander was obviously an experienced fighter, but now wasn’t the time to reflect. He had a battle to fight. Pushing himself up, he noticed the surrounding area begin to shift and the light of the sun darken to fit the scene. The graveyard was creepy, but he turned him attention back to his opponent. Going for the face would have been predictable, but Riko threw a punch to Zander’s midsection.

Still caught in the web, Ross struggled to free himself. The blast he just fired weakened the net, but it continued to stick to him. A pinch in his side came right before a tired feeling throughout his body. His sight became a slightly blurry as the seconds passed. The Tentomon wasn’t sure what happened until the pain in his side increased; he’d been stabbed. Falling to one knee, he tried to focus, but he was too out of it.

Furl managed to move out of the way of the flailing axe by diving toward the Agumon wielding it. He hoped to disarm him of the weapon before continuing. As he lunged, he saw a Patamon lay on the ground with a Palamon over her. Focusing, he would have to deal with that later.

Gabriel knew she needed to get up, but she was too tired. The powder that Crystal released had something to do with it, and she wasn’t planning on backing off. As the tendril penetrated her flesh, Gaby let out a small shriek before going silent. Along with being involuntarily tired, she couldn’t move to save her life. I have to do something! She’s gonna kill me!

The shard caught Leelu between her eyes, causing her to stumble backward. She held her head in pain, thus cutting off her vision. The blow on top of her head sent her to the ground in an instant. Her rock of a head throbbed as she rose and slammed her hands to the ground. Pillars of stone rose through the headstones all around her once again.

Turning her head to watch Weiss avoid her sabers, she leaned back to stand and continue her attack, but she winced as something hit her cheek. She felt the slice on her face, but continued to move so she wouldn’t get hit again. Returning one saber back to its holster, she cocked her arm canon, but a familiar shriek caught her attention. She turned to see Gabriel at the mercy of one of Weiss’ partners, and she couldn’t have that. Firing the round, she unleashed a light charge that was meant for the Sealsdramon.

Chekov managed to strafe to his left, letting the dagger pass by him. Opening his beak, he fired his a burst of green spiral energy in response.
Sulu took Miuki’s pause as an opportunity to strike again, swinging his sword, he aimed to strike her in the midsection.

Uhura took off in an effort to tackle her opponent headfirst.

“VEE-“ Slowing his run, Kirk kelt low to avoid the flaming uppercut. Using the power in his knees, he lowered his head and pushed himself toward Redemption, “HEADBUTT!”

The Lowemon couldn’t see past the resulting explosion until it was too late. Light bullets rained down from the Angemon’s position. The light weakened her, as the impacts made dents in her dark armor. But Lyd used the smoke as her cover and the surrounding darkness as her ally. Taking refuge behind a particularly large headstone, she wanted to let Rayner panic for a moment. The one thing that scares people more than what they don’t understand is what they can’t see.

As the terrain changed, the smell of the graveyard brought death to the battlefield prematurely. Koro and Bael moved closer to each other and gave each other a nod as Dargo and Mayer exchanged words. A gravestone rose between them however, splitting the Hagurumon and Impmon apart and making them unable to continue their assault.

Dirge jerked his claw to the side, able to turn his body out of the path of the energy attack. "Certainly." he responded to the Terriermon's request. Flipping in the air, he tried to sling the Child level towards the ground as quick as he could.

The attack his Onimaru full in the face, pain searing his vision before he flailed forward, his sickles slashing wildly towards the direction the attack had come from.

The punch set heavily in Zander's stomach, too concerned with the next attack to worry about defense. He doubled over from the pain, sliding backwards a bit from the force.

Twilight's three-part tactic had paid off, and she crawled off even as Ross fell to a knee. Her web net wouldn't last very long, made of fragile material, but it had done its job. Crawling awa, she dared not use her Mimic again for energy loss wouldn't be too good at this point, "Please get up and continue fighting, Mr. Ross. I know you have more strength in you then that."

"Why you little!" Charon yelled, watchign Furl dodge his axe. He tworled, but his axe had been succesfully knocked from his grip. Turning to Furl, he inhaled and spit out a gout of flame at the Child level.

The Palmon withdrew her vines, smirking contently. She had begun to try and attack again when a tall tombstone burst out from under her feet, sending her flying and stopping her sleep powder efect as she laid there.

Feeling the ground tremble as tombstoned broke from the stone pillars rising up, he was pelted with rock before unbalanced, making him slip and fall ungracefully to the now haunted ground. He quickly got back to a knee though, flexing his fingers in anticipation for another attack.

Weiss felt the projectile hit him and draw him backwards, not expectign a long range attack. He knelt and endured the lasting pain before digging into the ground as he began to charge the Wolfmon. When he got closer, he skidded to a stop, bringing his foot back and then forward up at Cortana's head.

Spitting up another blade from his throat, he clenched it in his jaws and crouched. As the Biyomon's attack came at him, he shot forward towards the bird, lettign the damage sink into his armor and underbelly scaled with a wince before straightening up and shooting at Chekov like an arrow, blade first.

Miuki popped back into the battle just in time ot see another attack come her was. Ees blazing, she opened her clawed hand and let the attack be blocked by her palm. While it hirt more then just lettign it hit her arm guards, she made an attempt as grabbing the blocked kendo next, then drew back with her other arm, fist clenched, and tried to drive it through Sulu's face with a growling snarl.

The tackle sent Judgement flying backwards just as the headbutt send Redemption soaring. They crashed into each other painfully, breathing heavy for a moment at how hectic the battle already was. Helping each other get up, they moved apart and waited to see what their respective opponents would do next.

As the smoke cleared, Rayner lost track of his opponent, but most importantly found himself in a completely different environment. Did she do this?

He lowered his arms, but not his guard, trying to decide how to best make her show herself again.

"Is he too hot for you?" Dargo joked, "Cause' if he is, you can always switch with me."

"Oh, shut up!" Mayer went for the Impmon with all his power, firing his Pepper Breath to keep the battle going.

Dargo smirked at the fact that he'd poked Mayer's fire, so to speak. He himself went after Koro, letting his Blue Blaster do the talking.

Eva fell hard, coming to a rolling stop from a long fall. She was dirty and scraped up, but she had to follow Mayer's example and keep going. For lack of a better strategy, she let loose another Bunny Blast.

Graz ducked below one of the scythes. Forming his sword once again, he lifted it to block the other, leaving them in a power struggle.

Succeeding in his strike, Riko stepped forward, lifting his foot to connect with Zander's chin.

Hearin Twilight's words, Ross couldn't help but feel like he was being talked down to. Through the weakness he felt, he looked in her direction and aimed his next attack. The web was easier to pull off after he'd struggled and fought with it, but the electricity is was did it. He sent a forceful blast toward her.

Furl took the fireball to the chest, losing his balance and falling over. The Black Agumon seemed to be letting his fury fuel his fighting. He knew right then why he hadn't done so himself; he was hesitant. Furl didn't want to get too into it because he didn't want to hurt anyone, but this battle was different. It wasn't life and death, but it certainly deserved everything he had. Rising, he let his mouth fill with fiery energy and released it toward Charo, "Pyro Blast!"

Slowing moving her limbs, Gabriel took a moment to feel herself and make sure she was intact. The sleep effects had gone away for some reason, but so had the Palmon. Crystal was flung away, giving Gaby the perfect opportunity to change her game up. Flapping her wings, she fought through the remaining drowsiness to release a bubble of air in Crystal's direction.

Watching the Renamon fall over, Leelu lunged forward, throwing a rocky fist to his face.

Cortana ducked, letting the leg go over her. She retorted, cocking her arm canon and firing a light blast point blank toward Weiss.

As the blade sank into his wing, Chekov winced and screamed. Falling to the ground, he pulled it out of his wing and threw it away. Holding himself seemed to be the most reasonable thing to do, but he had to keep going, "Nice one."

As the sword hit his facemask, Sulu stumbled back, but he would soon take the fight to Miuki. Keeping his head down, he jumped forward in an attempt to tackle her.

Wagging her tiny tail, Uhura jetted toward Judgement in an attempt to tackle him again.

Redemption was good, but Kirk wouldn't let her talk to him like that. He followed the Plotmon's lead, running at his opponent with a hope of getting in close.

Lyd could make him wait, but as she thought about it, it would be much simpler to take him down without cheap tricks. Leaping from behind the tombstone, she fired another Shadow Meteor at the Angemon.

Koro got pushed back as the flames burned his frame again, causing him to tumble over and nerly fall into the unholy ground. As he got back up, the smoke cleared, and he felt his frame coling off much more quickly then it would have in the grasslands.

Bael had the time to hop sideways, getting struck in the arm instead of directly, but then only grasped at his burning arm with hs other, gritting his teeth before saying with a smirk, "Hah! My flames are bett' then yours!"

Dirge was still in the midst of straightening out his flight pattern when he got hit by the Terriermon's attack, clipping his wing and dropping him to the ground with the rest of the fighters.

Yhe Arkadimon didn't allow the struggle to last, pushing back with his sickles and measuring up the opponent again. He had underestimated his combatant, but it wouldn't happen again. Onimaru shifted his blades to a better defensive position.

Zander managed to shift enough so he could connect his cloak with Riko's foot, thus keepung his face or any other part of his body from further experiencing pain. Rolling away from his crouched position, he et his energy flare, his Digivice shifting power to each of his four Digimon, then himself, "Time for a boost."

Koro evolved first, forming the Guardromon that was his Adult level. He engaged the boosters on his new body and took to the dark skies, putting distance from Dargo and firing two thin lasers from his eyes at him.

Bael evolved too, his Devimon form taking shape. He didn't fly away, instead standing back and waiting to see what the Agumon would do next.

Dirge evolved on the ground, standing up just as he became Devidramon. Without fully realizing he had changed, Dirge stood up tall on all fours, looking down at the Terriermon as he spoke in a deep voice, "Your move."

Onimaru didn't change nearly as much. He had grown a bit, his scythes had became full hands, and he was now longer and more deadly. He popped his lithe neck cautiously, then lunged to try and grab Graz.

Zander suddenly was formed in armor and flame, a large katana appearing in his right hand. As the Musyamon form took over, Znder grinned then decided to try and repay the favor by cleaving the air horiontally towards Riko with his new blade.

Twilight gain felt the blast of electicity sear her exoskeleton, giving a little meep of pain as she cringed again.

Charon managed a sidestep, backhanding the fire attack with the other claw and feeling a similar pain like the first one. he charged, snout puffing smoke as he tried to uppercut Furl.

Still in a daze, Crystal got hit hard by the Boom Bubble and was flopped in the air again, landing on all fours with a gasp of air. As she regained her breath, she turned to see what the Patamon would do next.

Legion wasn't one for being down long, nor was he fond of being flashy, but he watched Leelu lunging. Energy sparkled around Gio's outstretched hand, crystals of energy forming and collecting into a little floating shield that took the force of the Gotsumon's attack.

As soon as the attack was passed, the shards that weren't shattered by Leelu's attack spread out, aiming at the Renamon instead of Leelu. With a hard grunt of exertion, more shards of energy appeared all around the Renamon in a dome. At once, Legion flshed frm sight, his Fox Change Void switching the places of himself and his target: the Gotsumon. As soon as the switch was over, the Renamon would spread his claws out, then close then back up near his chest, making the dome collapse on itself.

Perhaps the kick wasn't the best move Weiss had made, but it brought him close enough to the ground to snatch back his knife before being blasted by the cannon again. As he endured yet another drilling shot, he tried to bring his newly re-aquired knife down to smash on the arm that was shooting at him.

"Thanks, but i'm not stopping there!" Ryu took off after cathing his breath, the X-Antibody stirring in his veins as he leapt um into the air. He twisted around and dived towards the Biyomon quickly,, "Kabuto Kaneshi!"

Miuki was tackled and pushed backwards, falling to her back and landing hard. In a feral gesture, she extended the claws on her hands and began trying to tear at the Digimon that had tackled her.

This time, the Veemon managed to roll out of the way, avoidng the tackle. As he straightened up, he ran forward, trying to land another Victory Punch.

Redemption was like Judgement this round, ready for her opponent. as he charged, she flexed her claws and tried to slam her fists onto her opponent's heard in an overhead swing.

Rayner took the blast full n the chest, burning holy flesh. As he winced from the burn, he slammed his staff into the graveyard ground, then charged both hands with holy energy. Bringing them both together, he gave out a pained growl as he shot a beam of energy double the size of normal at Lyd.

Dargo wasn't quite satisfied with his performance so far, but it would only get worse as Koro evolved. The laser came straight for him, hitting him in the chest for his lack of being prepared. The Gabumon's back impacted a tombstone, putting a large dent in the stone. He stumbled as he tried to get to his feet, seeing others digivolve as well, "Ugh- bad day."

"Shit." Riko watched Zander don his spirit form. The undead ninja seemed terrifying, especially as his sword swept across to slice him in half. Hitting the dirt, Riko pressed buttons on his D-Ban in a panic. His partners felt the energy pour into them as their bodies began to change.

Dargo was ready to return the attack in his Veedramon form. Pooling energy, he fired a blast from the V on his chest.

The GeoGreymon didn't miss a beat as he charged Bael. Mayer was intent on knocking him senseless.

Eva now stood on four legs; a shaggy, horned creature starring down a Devidramon, "Harpoon Torpedo!"

Graz, now an Angemon, opened his wings and leapt into the sky to get some distance on the beast. Reeling back his fist, he launched a vengeful blast, "Hand of Fate!"

Riko followed suit, scanning his own data ring and becoming Agunimon. Pushing himself up, he took a defensive stance.

Cortana, already in the thick of it, grunted and pulled back when the knife smashed into her canon. Seeing Riko's fight progress, she didn't want to be left behind. She looked to the Sealsdramon and smiled, "You're pretty good. Wanna kick it up?"

Powering down, she helped her partners by initiating the evolution sequence; summoning her digisoul and feeding her power to them.

Ross was grateful for the boost, and as a Kabuterimon, he waited for Twilight to recover.

Furl took the uppercut to the chin, stumbling backward and falling on his tail. He winced for a moment, but returned to his feet as his tamer's energy flowed through him. Taking on his Adult form, the Growlmon stepped to his opponent, "What's next?"

Gabriel had taken a beating during this match, but she was about to return the favor as the Patamon was replaced by a Lekismon. To be fair, she waited for Crystal to evolve, as well.

Leelu caught in some type of light attack, wasn't sure how she got there, but pain ensued as many light shards pierced her rocky flesh. She hit the ground with a moan, struggling to stand. As her form changed, she felt better, but the pain was still there. The Ninjamon stood up straight and faced her opponent.

Chekov wouldn't be caught in the way of a spiraling dragon. Moving to his left, he quickly turned and fired his Spiral Twister were Ryu would be.

Scratched and bruised, Sulu managed to make a fist; the tussle between them was frustrating, but he threw a punch in hopes that he could slow her down enough to get away.

Uhura was sent to the ground with Judge's punch. She was almost surprised that he hit her as she shook it off; she waited for his next move intently.

Kirk would feel the sting of fists, as well. Rolling back to his feet, he had to rethink his strategy.

Caught in her enthusiasm, Lyd was hit by Rayner's attack. She was pushed back a bit, but she launched her dark staff at him as a retort.

The Guardromon spun away from the beam attack as the Veedramon fired it. Koro resteadied himself just in time to fire two missiles from the compartments on his forearms at the Adult level. Although no one could see a visible mouth, Koro was smiling.

The Devimon felt the force of an angry dragon push him off and cause a bit of damage as he was hurled. However, his wings caught and lifted him away as he thrust both thin claws forward, a cloud of cursed kanji erupting from each, "Hell Contract!"

Jumping upwards, Dirge watched the attack go under him and then flew up before diving down and firing evil lasers from each of its four eyes at the Ikkakumon, "Demonic Gale!"

"Snatch Whip!" The Adult Arkadimon said as it hopped to the left of the holy attack, its left arm stretching like rubber as it attempted to grab the Angemon.

Zander smirked and settled back into an offensive position after Riko had dodged, seeing him transform, "Now this gets interesting, Violent Dismissal!" Zander said as flames gathered on his sword. He took a step back and slashed the blade towards Riko, unleashing a wave of cutting flames at him.

Devolving with her, Weiss stepped back as his Digisoul flared around him again, "You bet. Digisoul Charge!!" Weiss couldn't have been having more fun as he gave a loud roar, the energy all around him being shot through the Digivice to his partners.

Twilight eventually got back up, then felt energy surge through her as she grew, her form evolving into Stingmon quickly. The new wings that had sprouted buzzed quickly as Twilight took to the skies, waiting for her Kabuterimon opponent.

Charon snorted once, then grew and evolved into a Growlmon as well, staring down Furl with a snarl, "Now we see who's the better dino!" The Demon Dragon replied as he lowered his head and charged at the opposing Growlmon.

Crystal evolved quickly, probably because of the sun, and Sunflowmon replaced the Palmon before. floating above the ground seemingly with nothing, Crystal's new tail swished bac and forth, then finally whipped around and shot thorns towards the Lekismon.

"..." Legion stared at the new warrior in front of hm, felling energy pulsing through him even as taxing as the last tactic was. He was suddenly no longer furry or vulpine, but scaly and serpentine. The Seadramon now before the Ninjamon hissed and whipped its long tail around to try and slap Leelu away.

"Can you handle your Beast Spirit?" Weiss thought to ask Cortana as the aura of energy around him that was his Digisoul intensified, streaks of what almost looked like lightning jumping every now and then in the waves, "or Better yet, can you handle mine?"

Ryu was halted and blown away from Chekov as the bird's attack hit, forcing him to flip in the air and land painfully on the ground on his side. A puff of air escaped hm as he got back to his legs somewhat quickly, but looked a little stunned.

Miuki was oo close to dodge, and got punched away, landing on the grass haphazardly before rolling to all fours and staring at the opponent, a smirk on her fac... or was it a smile? Who cared really, for she decided not to make a move just yet.

"Hopping Kick!" Judge continued the attack after it landed, hopping off the ground and looking to kick his opponent before she could get too far away. He wasn't very agile compared to some of the other fighters, but he couldn't let an opportunity pass him by.

Before Redemption got herself in trouble with her feral instincts, she backed off slowly and rethought her tactics. It would do no good ot have an advantage only to lose it.

Rayner was still feeling the pain too much to dodge completely, and the attack smacked his side just before he moved away from the damage. He retrieved his staff and landed, waiting for Lyd to make another move.

Area Change: Dice Roll = 10: Glacial Plains
