Erm, I'm sorry Silver, but roles (and thus powers) are randomly assigned. It seems you, and possibly some other people, still don't understand how the game works. So I'll post this important note for everyone to see:

This is not a role-playing game. There is no writing or acting involved, there are roles and powers, but they're just identities to lie (or tell the truth) about and effects to interact with other players. This is a social game, played through honesty, deceit and trust. There is a daily lynch vote in the game's thread, and there are powers to PM the host about, but the bulk of the gameplay is conducted privately, through PMs, AIM, irc, etc.

However, this means the time commitment is minimal. If you keep your head down, don't talk much to anyone, and just faithfully post you vote and PM your power, you can do all your work for this game in less than five minutes a day easily. Indeed you can even win this way if you pick your targets well.

Furthermore, because of the lack of formal gameplay, this game is very simple, and beginner-friendly. Anyone can pick this up and do well the first time. So come on and give it a shot everyone, I promise you'll enjoy it. ^^

You'll recieve your full roll PM, including your powers, when the game beigns Lucas. Until then I can tell you your role name via PM if you'd like. You'd probably be able to make an educated guess about your powers by looking into the character.

That would be cool. I love guessing games! But I do have a legitimate question! Are we gonna know how many groups there are? I know we won't know the members, but will we know if the village is facing one, two, twelve mafias, or what?

As my little background story in one of my posts on the first page was meant to indicate. There are two mafia groups. 'Insomnia's Forces,' and 'The Temple.' There is also at least one neutral. That is all I can or will say about faction distribution though.

As much as I would love to KoKo, I can't. 17 people, even 16, i could do with a little work. 15 would be a terrible stretch, but possible. 13.... It just isn't happening. If we don't get a couple more sign-ups soon, I'll have to call the whole affair off, sadly.

*sighs* Well, I've been tinkering, and working hard, and I've managed to remove five rolls, although at the cost of removing the Temple entirely, which hurt.

Rolls PMs will be distributed starting now, and once I'm done I'll be posting a new, seperate thread for the game proper.
