Title: Another Training Session

Aqua-Chan - June 17, 2007 10:05 PM (GMT)
Tamer Name: Lexi Tashimi
Digimon Species: Kotemon
Battle Type: Hologram
Field Area: A Pirate's ship out at sea

"Lexi, why are we here again? Wern't we just here days ago?" Kodi asked whilst his tamer typed in the nessesary information into the computer.

His human nodded. "Yeah, I know. But you can always use more training, it can never hurt to gain some more experience." Lexi gave that as her reason for why they were back at the training facility so soon.

While that was true, it wasn't the full reason why they were here once more. Truth be told, things at the Mountains were progressing at such a slow rate...

And things that progress slowly made her creator rather bored, thus brings them to why they are here now. Not only was this to pass time, but it was also to benefit on Kodi's behalf.

Once she had finished putting in the nessesary information, Lexi took her place alongside her digimon as she waited for the hologram to come alive. This battle would given Kodi a chance to battle his opponent in his new Adult form...

Ryuha Nara - June 18, 2007 02:37 AM (GMT)
Wooden planks materialized beneath tamer and digimon, a salt air washed over them. The boat's form expanded until it was complete, along with the sea around the vessel. Almost immediately, the ship began rocking gently as the sun beat down from above. It was a perfect replica of a pirate vessel, except seemingly abandoned.

It took only a few tense minutes of cackling seagulls and pounding waves as the only noise for something to actually happen though. A door that probably led below deck cracked open, and a humanoid digimon emerged. He wore a red coat, and a three-pointed hat of the same shade. His face was obscured to the point that all one saw was a black orb with an oversized white eye plastered upon it. This pirate's right hand was a hook, and his left held a ridiculously proportioned gun.

The Hookmon looked at his opponents, and laughed sloppily. When he spoke his words were slightly slurred. "Aye mateys, I must thank ye for getting me woken up. I got to enjoy meself some fine mead because of ye. I'll be sure to repay ye with a proper fight in the tradition of me pirate forebears.

Aqua-Chan - June 18, 2007 06:22 AM (GMT)
"Ahoy there captain! We promise you a worthwhile battle, but we will not loose to the likes of you." Kodi greeted with a wave of his long sleeved hand. He was being awefully cheerful to his opponent for a change...

Holding out her D-Ban, it glowed to life bringing up information on Hookmon to Lexi. "Hookmon, Adult level Mutant Digimon. Virus Type. This'll be an interesting challenge for you Kodi, but be careful about his cannon arm and hook."

The Kotemon put on a slightly cocky look in his eyes. "I will, but this time I won't any weaknesses get the better of me." he said. Obviously he had learned his lesson from his previous training battle.

Kodi charged toward the Hookmon with his kendo sword ablaze with flames. "Hot Head!" he cried, sending the flaming weapon down upon the adult digimon. It seemed that Lexi was going to take on a different approch, let Kodi fight a bit in his child form before reverting to his adult form.

Ryuha Nara - June 18, 2007 03:59 PM (GMT)
Hookmon may have been drinking, but his battle reflexes weren't any duller for it. The pirate pulled up his hook and blocked Kodi's sword with it. The nimble humanoid then back-stepped to put some distance between himself and the smaller digimon. He laughed heartily once he was in place, "you're a yar little guy, but ye can't always win with the straightforward attack. I'm certainly not going to make that an option for ye."

The pirate's turn to attack had arrived, and he wasn't going to waste the opportunity. Hookmon leveled his gun at Kodi and fired a bullet of energy at the small samurai. "Captain Cannon!"

Aqua-Chan - June 19, 2007 06:27 AM (GMT)
Kodi's yellow eyes suddenly took on a more serious look to them. "It may be straight forward, but that's just a taste of my skills. I'm capable of much more than that." they were bold words for a child digimon who was up against a more experienced adult digimon, even if he was a hologram.

It was too bad his attack didn't follow through as he had hoped and soon the Kotemon came face to face with an energy bullet heading straight for him!

He opted to try and counter the attack the same way as before, hitting it with his kendo sword like a baseball bat. While the sword managed to hold up a bit against the energy bullet, it eventully gave way and sent Kodi's beloved sword flying through the air.

Kodi landed on the deck on the ship, with his kendo sword gone he wouldn't be able to use his Hot Head attack. "Kodi! Are you alright?!" he could hear Lexi say from behind him.

Lexi watched as her digimon got to his feet and turned to her. "I'm alright Lexi, I just didn't expect that to happen." he replied. He then turned his attention back onto Hookmon.

His opponent was strong and sharp for someone who seemed rather drunk. If a straight forward attack wouldn't help, maybe something less straight forward will...

The Kotemon stood in his place, not willing to move an inch. Maybe he could get Hookmon to come to him, he had pulled this same strategy on Yashamon before, it mgiht work again for Hookmon.

Ryuha Nara - June 20, 2007 01:48 PM (GMT)
Hookmon watched Kodi carefully, waiting for the inevitable attack, which never came. It didn't take the captain long to figure out the young swordsmon's strategy. He showed no signs of being impressed by it though.

"That's a yar strategy against an opponent who only has close range moves matey, but I have this gun here, and I know how to use it." With no hesitation the pirate aimed the aforementioned weapon at his opponent, and fired off another ball of energy. The attack was accompanied by its name, like most were, "Captain Cannon."

Aqua-Chan - June 20, 2007 05:53 PM (GMT)
Well, its safe to say that strategy didn't work to well. Kodi was learning the hard way that some strategies don't always work in certain situations. And this was just a prime example of that...

Kodi tried to get away from the oncomming blast and he nearly succeeded, but the attack did leave him with some minor damage. He was lucky enough to have gotten away or else he would've taken on the full blunt of the blow.

"Kodi, this isn't working..." he heard Lexi say and as much as he hated it, he had to agree. "I know, Hookmon is just too craft and strong." Kodi replied.

They both looked to each other for any suggestions, but both tamer and digimon knew of only one strategy they could pull at this moment. "You ready?" Lexi asked.

To that Kodi nodded. "Ready anytime." It was then that the D-Ban that was strapped to his tamer's arm gave off a bright glow, a glow that also caused the Kotemon to glow as well.

"Kotemon shinka~!" the evolution process took hold of Kodi, causing his body to take on dramatic changes. It wasn't just his body that changed, his array of weapons also changed as well.

When the evolution process finally came to an end, a new digimon stood in the Kotemon's place. He was about as tall, if not taller than Hookmon himself. This digimon seem rather muscular and by his attire a bit more primitive. On his arms were sets of arm blades and on his back was strapped a rather large butcher knife. "Dinohumon!" he announced.

"Wow..." his tamer was in awe by his transformation, she was expecting Kodi's adult form to be more similar to his child form. But she was definetly surprised by this new developement. "Go get em' Kodi!"

"With pleasure." Kodi said and dashed straight for Hookmon, when he was close enough he began to slash at his equal with the blades attatched to his arms. "Lizard Dance!" he cried.

Ryuha Nara - June 20, 2007 09:52 PM (GMT)
(Wow, evolving your digimon for the first time in a training thread, oh well, your choice. Congratulations on your other upgrade by the way miss intern.)

The light of Kodi's evolution stung Hookmon's intoxicated eyes. The adult could barely focus on his foe's form change. When the light faded enough for him to look properly, the Dino Humon was already rushing in to attack. He tried to bring his hook up to defend himself, but the move was too little too late, leaving the pirate to take a slash across his chest.

"Yar," Hookmon laughed once he recovered, "so yer fighting me at me own level now. I'll just have to show you the power of me alcohol-enhanced fighting skills. I bet ye didn't expect that I'd be a drunken master eh."

This short speech was followed immediately by an ever so brilliantly staggered charge, and slash with his hook.

Aqua-Chan - June 21, 2007 01:48 AM (GMT)
(Thank you for the congrats Ryuha ^^)

"Heh." was all that came from the Dinohumon, he leapt backwards in a sudden burst of agility to avoid the hook. Possibly from the upgrade to his adult form, it did give him a slight boost in ability and strength as well as in everything else.

Kodi looked up suddenly, spotting out a sort of rope ladder that lead to the upper sails and even the crow's nest. The dragon man digimon grabbed onto the rope ladder and began to climb it. A strategy brewing within his mind.

He glanced down at Hookmon and smirked. "I doubt your alohol-induced fighting skills will be enough to stop me. If anything they'll be your downfall, but if you wanna prove me wrong then follow me if you can." Kodi said before he continued to climb upwards on the rope ladder.

Ryuha Nara - June 22, 2007 10:28 PM (GMT)
The pirate could only laugh as his foe climbed the rigging. It wasn't a bad idea, in fact it was a fairly good one, but Hookmon was a pirate, and he knew his way around a ship. Thus, he holstered his pistol and chased after Kodi, onto the ropes. He was able to climb at an excelent speed, his hook flying from one rung to the next. As they climbed, the space between the two combatants shrinking steadily.

"Yar matey," Hookmon laughed, "ye don't fight a pirate on the ropes if ye want to win."

Aqua-Chan - June 23, 2007 04:57 PM (GMT)
"We'll see about that." Kodi replied as he continued to climb, but at the speedy rate Hookmon was going the pirate digimon would reach Kodi in half the time it was taking for him to climb!

The Dinohumon looked downward onto his tamer, giving her a nod and Lexi interpreted it was the time was right. Indeed, the time was right to use one of her cards to aid her digimon in battle.

After sorting through her deck, she selected two cards. "Card Slash!" she let out. Slashing the first one through her D-Ban, it quickly activated and took hold on her partner.

In what seemed like only a few nano seconds Kodi felt a boost within his thought process, he could think at a faster rate than he normally would and in turn boost his reflexes. This allowed the Dragon Man Digmon to leap from rung onto the main sails, he pulled himself into its wodden skelecton. That sudden boost had given him the right amout of agility to easily match that of his enemy's.

Dinohumon turned his light lavander eyes onto Hookmon. "This is where the battle really begins, we'll see who can really themselves under these conditions." for just having evolved to his Adult form, Kodi seemed a little more confident. Albeit a little more cockier than usual.

Lexi smiled, her first card worked like a charm, but she decided to wait a little longer to activate the second card she had selected. She wanted to wait until the moment was right...

Name: Mental Booster
Number: C24
Type: Single Target
Duration: Remainder of the battle
Effect: Doubles the affected Digimon’s thought speed, and therefore its reflexes and accuracy as well, allowing it to play on an even field with opponents much faster than itself.

Ryuha Nara - June 27, 2007 10:30 PM (GMT)
Hookmon continues to race after his opponent, not willing to give the humanoid suarian an inch. Even with the boost that had been employed, he wasn't going to let himself be out-pirated. For a hologram, he knew his ship well, and was even programmed to have pride in it.

"This is where the battle really begins, we'll see who can really handle themselves under these conditions."

"Sure," the Hookmon laughed, "that sounds like the way to do things, especially since it's to me advantage."

With no warning, the Hookmon whipped his gun out and fired a shot at Kodi.

Aqua-Chan - July 6, 2007 04:06 AM (GMT)
(Dang, I've neglected this training battle for way too long. Sorry for the delay Ryuha...)

The Dinohumon suddenly jump to the air to avoid Hookmon's blast from even making contact with him, Kodi should consider himself lucky. It was thanks to Lexi's card swiping that got him that extra boost in agility.

For the moment, however, the saurian warrior was more focused on fighting Hookmon than counting his lucky stars.

Landing back on the main mast, he reached behind his back to draw out what look like to be one of the biggest butcher knives Lexi had ever seen. The sword had to be about the same size in height as the human herself!

Kodi put on a serous face once more. "Akinakesu!" he cried, swinging the large sword at Hookmon. If his opponent was still intending on fighting with that giant cannon of his, then Kodi would have to bring ut the big guns. Or in this case, the big knives...

Ryuha Nara - July 6, 2007 04:21 AM (GMT)
('tis no problem. Waiting on another player is nowhere near as bad when you're the mod.)

Thinking fast, or at least as fast as he could in his drunken state, Hookmon swung on the rung he had hooked himaself onto. The simple move would have gotten him out of harm's way, had he been a little faster. As it was he got a nasty gash across his back. This wasn't going to be an easy fight for the holographic pirate.

That didn't matter though, he was a determined illusion. Before the Dino Humon could pull away, Hookmon freed himself from the rigging. As he drew closer, he swung his sharp hook at his reptilian foe.

Aqua-Chan - July 6, 2007 04:52 AM (GMT)
The lavander eyes of Hookmon's reptilian opponent were eyeing the swinging hook that was about to slash into his hide if he didn't do something. His eyes widen at the hooped piece of sharp metal as Kodi made an effort to try and avoid its wraith.

Of course, it would've worked if Kodi had taken his newfound agility to its fullest advantage. The poor adult digimon had neglected his boost in agility as he was trying to avoid Hookmon's hook.

As he tried to move further down on the mast, the Dinohumon felt something cut into his scaly back. He grunted from the pain the attack inflicted, but none the less sought out vegance and turned once more to Hookmon.

It was then Kodi realized that if he got any closer, Hookmon would have complete access to do another close range attack with that hook of his. He opted for something different and created more distance between himself and the drunken pirate.

Grabbing his large sword, Kodi aimed it in the direction of his enemy. "Akinakesu!" this time as he swung the giant knife at Hookmon, he let go of its handle and let it fly for the drunkard.

Ryuha Nara - July 6, 2007 05:00 AM (GMT)
The battle was quickly turning violent. Mere moment after the pirate's hook had a taste of Kodi's hide, The suarian's thrown sword slashed into Hookmon's gut, causing a grievous wound. Holograms don't give up though, and with his waning energy, the pirate aimed his gun at Kodi. One final ball of energy shot forth, as the brave captain spoke the name of his favored attack, "Captain Cannon."

Aqua-Chan - July 6, 2007 05:33 AM (GMT)
Lexi had seen all that was transpiring on the mast, even from where she was standing onthe ship she could see it all. She was becoming more hopeful as the battle progressed, things were going their way now.

That quickly changed when she saw Hookmon's blast fired frm his cannon and make a direct hit at Kodi, the blast had not only hit her digimon but created a lot of damage to the ship's main sails.

"Kodi!" the human cried out, she could see her digimon anymore. Suddenly, something caught her eye as it was falling. Lexi quickly spotted out what was falling, but her violet eyes widened at what she saw.

The Dinohumon was falling rather fast and it didn't look like he was even awake at that point. When he finally did awaken, he groaned from feeling the full impact of Hookmon's attack, but when he noticed he was falling he quickly forgot about his pain.

Panic began to settle within his tamer as she scrambled to find a card that would help save her digimon from a painful landing. As hard as she looked, there didn't seem to be a card in her deck that would be of use to her. "Oh no!!"

Lexi's paniced nature only worstened when she heard the crashing sounds of Kodi landing ontop of the main deck of the ship. When she looked up from her frantic card search she saw a Dinohumon lying within the debris of wood, lying there motionlessly.

"Oh no! Kodi..." The teenage girl could only stare at her partner helplessly, it was rather overwhelming for Lexi. Her partner was injured because of her and now Hookmon was going to win the battle.

...Or at least, it is what Lexi believed. From her distance she didn't see the small movements the Dinohumon was making as he pushed himself onto his feet. It took him a moment, but Kodi was finally back on his feet. The adult seemed just as weakened as his opponent was.

When Lexi finally noticed her digimon actually push himself to stand up, she felt a great relief withi her heart lift away her worries. "Oh thank goodness!" she praised, but just because her digimon was up and about didn't mean the battle was over.

Ryuha Nara - July 6, 2007 05:44 AM (GMT)
The tired Hookmon watched Kodi's dramatic fall and his stoic climb back to his feet. Even at this last juncture, the combatants were pretty much in equal straights. With so very few option remaining, Hookmon thought about how he could muster one final attack.

As the pirate lacked the energy to make another bullet for his captain cannon, he resorted to simply throwing the gun at the Dino Humon. He mustered his focus, wound up his arm, and lobbed the defunct weapon down at the humanoid reptile. It was likely the most pathetic effort a hologram had attempted in a long time, but heck, whatever works...

Aqua-Chan - July 6, 2007 05:58 AM (GMT)
Without his Akinakesu, Kodi wasn't able to throw anything back at Hookmon. All he had left was the smaller swords that were strapped to his arms and one last attack to perform with them.

He saw his opponent unlatch his own cannon from his arm and throw it for the saurian warrior. To that he actually managed to smirk at a time like that. "Getting desperate are we?" What was he saying? Kodi was just as desperiate as Hookmon was to finish off his opponent.

Gathering the last of his speed, the Dinohumon made a dash for the holographic enemy. He bypassed the flying cannon with little difficulty and when he arrived close enough to Hookmon, he went into a sudden burst of dancing.

This dancing allowed Kodi to use his smaller sword to make slashes and attacks at the drunkard. "Lizard Dance." he called it as he continued to play out his attack.

Ryuha Nara - July 6, 2007 06:06 AM (GMT)
The tired pirate never stood a chance against the masterful onslaught. Numerous cuts manifested upon his fine suit. As each cut formed, data began to leak out like blood, until the entire pirate digimon bursted into a cloud of data bits. As the emiters disengaged and the room powered down, the little bits of data faded away. The ship he had 'commanded' followed soon behind, fading from existence at just the right speed to give Kodi the equivalent of an elevator ride.

As soon as the young swordsman's foot touched the floor, the illusion faded completely, leaving him and his tamer in the white room that remained a bottomless supply of places and times.

(+.2 Dep for a masterful defeat of the brave pirate. Let's not forget 100 bits of money, and a hookmon plushie that spouts crazy drunk talk when squeezed either.)

Aqua-Chan - July 6, 2007 06:19 AM (GMT)
When Kodi's feet did indeed land on the ground, his body became engulfed in bright light. Light that converting his form from a tall warrior to a small puff of fur. Kodi had really put up a fight during that battle, but putting forth so much effort drained him of his energy, reverting him straight to his Baby2 form.

"Kodi!" Lexi regathered up her cards, stuffing them into their case as she ran to pick up her digimon. "Kodi, are you alright?"

The now Kapurimon looked up to his tamer and nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just really tired..."

"Oh Kodi..." his tamer suddenly hugged the little guy, but it wasn't a hug of affection. It was a hug of sheer relief. "I was so worried...I was worried you were seriously hurt out there."

The baby2 digimon felt touched, sure he knew Lexi often worried about him in battle but never like this. "Lexi...I'm sorry I worried you, but you shouldn't have to. I'm suppose to worry over you, after all I'm your digimon."

"Maybe, but I'm your tamer. I'm suppose to be the one taking care of you and all. So I'll worried my head off about you if I want to." Lexi replied, snuggling her weak worrior.

By then a blush had appeared across the Kapurimon's cheeks, but at that point he really didn't care if his tamer noticed or now. "Lets go home Lexi, I'm sleepy..." he yawned.

To that, the girl chuckled lightly. "Alright, lets go home. We've done enough battling for a while." she said as she made her way for the exit.

(Thanks for the lovely gifts, this battle was long overdue ot end XD Want me to close this thread or do you want to Ryuha?)
