Title: Back in the Forest

Elecmon - April 22, 2007 10:46 PM (GMT)
((OOC: This is open to anyone who wants to join. Mods or other members.))

The Trailmon slowed to a stop in the forest. The Tamer and his partners stood at the door waiting for it to open. When it did Tsunomon was the first out leaping from the train straight into a tree. He slid to the ground his face red with embarasment. "Nice one." Lop giggled.

The tamer and Lop stepped from the train and walked to where Tsunomon sit. "Are you alright?" Kamon questioned.

"I'm fine."

"So Lop we're where you wanted to go, what do you want to do first?" Kamon asked looking down at Lop.

"Um...this!" Lop jumped at Kamon knocking him to the ground. The two rolled around laughing. Tsunomon noticed how much fin the two were having and decided to jump in. The three continued to roll around in the soft grass untill they tired.

Out of breath the trio layed back on the grass watching the wind blow through the trees. "That was fun." Said Tsunomon watching a leaf float gently to the ground.

"Yeah! It was." Lop was siting on a tree branch about 20 feet in the air. "We should do that more often."

"But have you ever noticed that whe we go somewhere we are always attack by some digimon?" Kamon thought about what he had just said. Lop looked down at him from her branch.

"No I haven't really noticed." Lop jumped from her perch and floated down to where both Kamon and Tsunomon lay. "Let's relax while we can." Lop let out a large sigh along with Kamon and Tsunomon.

"Yay enjoy the rest." Kamon looked over to his didigmon. "Cause as soon as we're done it's back to training."

"Fine." Lop seemed disappointed.

"I'm good with that." Tsunomon smiled. "If I want to get a strong as Lop I'm gonna have to train hard."

GuaranaHolic - April 23, 2007 08:27 AM (GMT)
“Train hard, eh? That can be arranged,” said a low and somewhat mumbling voice from a nearby bush.

Said bush then rustled and its leaves parted to reveal a plump, bipedal reptile the color of custard, wearing a blue, tiger-striped pelt concealing its face, arms and back. It bent down to examine the newest addition to Kamon’s team.

“Tsunomon, eh? I looked just like you when I was your age,” said the Gabumon in a thick Canadian accent. “On those grounds, I might just go easy on ya – but mind you, I’ve ‘gone easy’ on most of the folk I’ve beaten,” he gloated.

“As it happens, I’ve also been seeking an opponent since this morning. Whaddaya say to a lil’ scuffle right now, eh?”

Elecmon - April 24, 2007 05:24 AM (GMT)
Tsunomon quickly jumped up. "Yeah I'll take you on."

Kamon looked over to Tsunomon. "Now wait a second. He's stronger than you right now. Think about your fight before you get into it." Kamon stood up and walked over to where Tsunomon was sitting.

"I don't care if he's stronger, if I'm ever going to become strong I'm going to have to fight stronger enemies. Even if I lose I'm still stronger for trying right?"

"I guess your right." Kamon still seemed a little skeptical.

"Oh just let him fight." Lop said appearing from behind Kamon. "He needs to learn his limits somehow right?"

"Fine you can fight, but if it get too hairy I'm gonna get you out of there." KAmon took a couple steps back, and placed one hand on his card deck.

"Let's go!" Tsunomon insisted to the Gabumon.

GuaranaHolic - April 24, 2007 03:00 PM (GMT)
“So we’re on now, eh? Swell. M’name’s Maple, by the way,” said Tsunomon’s first foe, and held out his human-like hand to greet the Trainee…

…only to transform the handshake into an odd kind of sideways, hard-to-avoid punch at the last second: in one fluid motion, he balled his hand into a fist, pulled it back slightly, thrust it a little forward to place it to the right of Tsunomon, then swung it horizontally into the Lesser Digimon’s side (at least, that was where he was aiming to swing it).

Well, how the hell DO you shake hands with a fuzzball, anyway?

((A shorty, I’m afraid… but maybe that's a good thing, since I’m trying to trim down that three-paragraph minimum giraffe-sama said I have. Quality over quantity, in other words.))

Elecmon - April 25, 2007 04:34 AM (GMT)
The fist of the Gabumon connected with Tsunomon's side sending him flying at a tree. He impacted with it sliding to the ground. He got up a shook his head. 'Deja vu.' He thought. "That was a cheap shot!" Tsunomon hopped over to the fuzzy lizard digimon.

He felt the pain of the fist still in his side. He had never felt this pain before. The worst pain he had ever felt was from playing with Lop or impacting the tree upon coming to the forest. He decided that this pain he felt was worthy of some revenge.

"Are you gonna fight fair or what?"

Before letting the Gabumon respond Tsunomon hopped up untill he was eye level with Maple. And with a grin on his face Tsunomon called out. "Acid bubbles!" He oppened his mouth and from it came several pink bubbles headed for the Gabumon, at point-blank range. Tsunomon hoped that this would teach Maple not to fight dirty anymore.

GuaranaHolic - April 25, 2007 03:45 PM (GMT)
((Tsunomon: 40 - 10 = 30))

Maple took the attack right in the face and felt the sting of the bubbles full on - but apparently, he hadn’t learned anything about fighting dirty. “Oh, that was no cheap shot. Any Digimon who had a golden opportunity to get in a hit would take it, regardless of how ‘dirty’ it was considered – it beats recklessly charging in with no plan or strategy, eh? But enough discussion and debate. It’s time for some action!”

True to his word, Maple thrust his left foot flying straight toward Tsunomon ((who this post just naturally assumes is on the ground now, after bouncing upward – I’ll edit it if I’m wrong)), taking advantage of his opponent being the same size and roughly the same shape as a soccer ball. His sharp toenails and forceful kick would clearly hurt unless Tsunomon was able to get out of the way not just quickly, but VERY quickly.

((Maple: 70 – 5 = 65))

Elecmon - April 26, 2007 01:52 AM (GMT)
Tsunmon still on the glee of nailing Maple in the face failed to notice the clawed foot headed straight for him. "Tsunomon you have to jump!" Kamon called out, in hopes of warning the small digimon. Tsunmon heard Kamon's call and without even looking, he jumped up avoiding Maple's foot, just barely. "Alright Tsunomon!"

"Nice One!" Lop cheered. She wanted to join in, but realized that Tsunomon should do this himself. He needed the experience to handle a strong opponent on his own with out the help of others for now. Plus she wanted to see Tsunomon get beat up just a little. A sly grin crossed Lop's face as she thought of Tsunomon getting injured.

As Tsunomon came down he noticed Maple was still pulling his leg back form the kick. Deciding it was the time to strike again, he flipped around and called out, "Acid bubbles!" And once again Tsunomon launched several pink bubbles at Maple. He hoped that these bubbles would do a little more damage. He was young and inexperienced. And thus lacked the strength to carry out a prolonged battle.

GuaranaHolic - April 28, 2007 11:11 AM (GMT)
((…I don’t have an excuse for taking so long, I’m afraid. You have the right to hit me now.))

Maple evaded the bubbly attack with a surprisingly nimble sidestep, and gave a tiny yawn as he approached Tsunomon after the Trainee’s attack had been fired.

“You’re not doing bad for a lil’un. But if you wanna even the playing field, you miiiight wanna consider evolving to Child – any good-hearted Digimon would want his opponent to have a fighting chance, eh? I’m no exception. Unless you prefer the challenge of beating me in that form, which I can also live wi—PETIT FIRE!”

Once again, Maple had put a veil of courtesy over his battle strategy, and whipped off that veil at the last minute. The moment the “w” of “with” escaped his mouth, a stream of blue flame followed suit, aimed strait for Tsunomon’s face. Clearly, it wasn’t only the Gabumon’s higher level that would give him an advantage if his foe did not evolve in time, but his quick wit and trickery.

Elecmon - April 28, 2007 03:19 PM (GMT)
((OOC: Don't worry about it. I've got a lot of backed up sig work to do right now.))

Tsunomon was taken by suprise by the attack, but figured it was coming and hopped to the left. The fire blew past, but not without leaving Tsunomon with a few singe marks. He growled with anger that this Gabumon was refusing to fight fairly, he also didn't want to lose his first fight ever. His anger welled up inside of him until he began to glow brightly. "Tsunomon shinka!" Tsunomon burst into data reforming into a new larger Digimon. "Elecmon!"

"Alright Elecmon you evolved." Kamon called out from behind Elecmon. Lop watched the evolution and she had mixed feelings. For some reason she was happy to see Elecmon getting stronger, but at the same time she felt as though she wanted Elecmon to get beaten and hurt.

The red and blue Digimon stood in front of Maple now ready for a new fight to begin. "This should make thing a little more in - Sparkling Thunder!" Yellow lightning arced across Elecmon's tails. The bolt shot from his tails and head right at Maple.

Figuring the only way to defeat his enemy was to think like his enemy, Elecmon decided to use the same underhanded tricks.

GuaranaHolic - April 28, 2007 07:28 PM (GMT)
((Sound good; my incurable laziness will allow you extra time to do what you do best. It couldn’t be more perfect!

Tsunomon: 30 - 5 = 25
Elecmon: Considering he had roughly 60% of his health left before he evolved, it's logical that he should also have 60% in Child form, so his health is now 35/60.))

Maple was far too distracted admiring Tsunomon’s evolution to worry about something as simple as dodging an attack. He felt the lightning bolts sting his skin, then grinned – though whether it was a smile of admiration or of cunning was impossible to determine.

“Oooh, nice one – though I’ll admit, you coulda cut from “in” to “Sparkling” just a liiiitle quicker, eh,” said the Gabumon in an almost patronising tone. “Not to mention your choice of Child form could’ve been better. I’ll show ya how a real ex-Tsunomon does it! Blue Cyclone!” With that, he began to twirl around and propelled his entire body, now ignited in small but scorching blue flames, in the direction of Elecmon at a dizzying speed.

((Maple: 65 – 10 = 55))

Elecmon - May 4, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
Elecmon stood in fear of the incoming attack. 'What should I do?' He thought.

"Elecmon you need to dodge it!" Kamon called out. But Elecmon stood firm in his place. He feared the incoming atack so much that Kamon's voice seemed to fade away. "I think he'll need some help." Kamon quickly pulled a card from his pile and slashed it thorugh his D-ban. "Digimodify! Fox Power activate!" Elecmon felt a power well up in his legs. "Move now Elecmon!"

Elecmon heard Kamon's words and with the slightest twitch of his legs, Elecmon flew several feet out of the way of Maple's attack. Lop's mouth dropped open as she watched Elecmon's movements. She growled due to Elecmon's swiftness. She knew it was Elecmon's fight and that she shouldn't interfere.

"My turn." Lightning arced across Elecmon's tails. "Sparkling Thunder!" A large bolt of lightning shot from Elecmon's tails and headed for Maple.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Fox Power
Number: C15
Type: Single Target
Duration: 5 Turns
Effect: The affected Digimon gains the speed and agility of a Renamon for 5 posts, making it easier to dodge attacks.

GuaranaHolic - May 5, 2007 05:34 PM (GMT)
Elecmon's newfound speed was too much for Maple. The second lightning attack connected, and its recipient scowled. Agility was the forte of no Gabumon, therefore he decided to focus on defense over attack or evasion for now.

Still, he thought one little long-ranged attack wouldn't hurt. Locking his vision on Elecmon, Maple shot a Petit Fire attack at the Mammal, prepared to follow his movements with the stream of flame if nessacary.

((Maple: 55 – 10 = 45))

Elecmon - May 6, 2007 12:07 AM (GMT)
Elecmon was feeling cocky knowing his newfound agility was too much for the Gabumon. Seeing the attack coming Elecmon jumped up with out looking to dodge the attack. Instead of continuing up Elecmon's head struck a low tree branch causing him to fall back down right into the oncoming atack.

The fire singed Elecmon on his right leg. Kamon let out a deep sigh. "You need to look before you leap." Lop was laughing at Elecmon's predicament. Kamon looked down at her. He gave her an irritated glare. Lop immidiatly stood up and kept her mouth shut, but was still laughing on the inside.

'Okay I need to think before I do.' Elecmon thought. He took a step forward and felt the pain of his burned leg shoot through his whole body. Shifting his weight to the left Elecmon looked as though he had vanished, but in fact was moving too fast to see. He reappeared behind Maple. "Thunder Knife!" Several small bolt of electricity shot from Elecmon's tails and flew at Maple from close range.

GuaranaHolic - May 6, 2007 02:33 AM (GMT)
((Elecmon: 35 - 10 = 25))

Maple welped as he felt the Thunder Knife pierce the back of his neck - had it been a real knife, it certainly would've meant his death. He was becoming frustrated at being on the recieving end of damage so many times in a row, but all he could do was use a weapon he hadn't yet employed: his smart mouth. "Attacking from behind now, are we? And I'm the one who fights dirty, am I?"

Without warning, Maple then quickly whipped around with the aim of punching Elecmon clear in the face, attempting to use his opponent's close range against him.

((Maple: 45 - 10 = 35))

Elecmon - May 6, 2007 04:48 AM (GMT)
Elecmon lifted his arms up to block the attack. The fist collided with his arms, pushing him back. He began to lose his balance, but stayed as steady as he could. "Nice punch." Elecmon smirked.

With a great amount of force Elecmon pushed off from his postion sending him flying back ten feet. When he landed he quickly took off around Maple at incredible speeds. Once again he appeared behind Maple. "Sparkling thunder." Lightning once again shot out at Maple from Elecmon's tails.

GuaranaHolic - May 12, 2007 02:00 PM (GMT)
((Elecmon: 25 - 5 = 20))

Maple anticipated Elecmon attacking from behind, and was prepared to duck to avoid the lightning - but alas, the Mammal was simply too quick for him, and it once again connected on the back of his neck. The Gabumon was, by now, furious at so many attacks in a row hitting him, and so few of his own even leaving scratches.

He weakly turned around and his eyes met Elecmon's. His face now mere inches away from that of his foe, Maple opened his mouth, his mind racing for something witty and hard-hitting to say... but he soon realised there was nothing left to say at all. The Gabumon inhaled and put the very last of his energy into one huge Petit Fire attack, aimed straight in Elecmon's face at point-blank range.

((Maple: 35 - 10 = 25))

Elecmon - May 12, 2007 03:59 PM (GMT)
Elecmon saw the attack coming and decided to get out of the way. With his increased speed he easily ducked to the right of the gabumon. But not with out leaving scorch marks on his ears from the attack. He grumbled from frustration due to the persistance of the gabumon.

"Come on Elecmon you know you can beat this guy." Kamon called out.

"I know I can. Remember I'm still kinda new at this." Elecmon panted.

"Well then maybe I can help." Kamon shuffled through his cards. He found one and slashed it through his D-ban. "Offensive X activate!"

Elecmon felt the strength flowing through him. "Thanks Kamon." Elecmon's eyes locked onto Maple. He charged his target shouting, "Body blow!" He jumped into the air coming down right above Maple.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Offensive X
Number: C26
Type: Single Target
Duration: Remainder of the battle
Effect: The next attack used by the affected Digimon doubles in power.

GuaranaHolic - May 12, 2007 07:01 PM (GMT)
((Remember to include the descriptions of your used cards in your posts in the future, please.
Elecmon: 20 - 5 = 15))

The powered-up, full-body attack was too much for Maple to avoid. After the damage had been done, he weakly pushed Elecmon off of him onto the ground, and growled in contempt.

Maple had barely a scrap of energy left at that moment, but he decided to put that scrap into a last-ditch effort. "I'm not finished YET, kid... *cough* it's not over 'till the very last blow's dealt... here that blow comes. Blue Cyclone!"

Maple spun his blazing body toward Elecmon at a surprisingly quick pace for such a weakened Digimon. But although his movements were lift and his path well-aimed, there was a "limp" quality to the way he moved - it was all too obvious that it wouldn't take much more for Elecmon to claim his first victory.

((Body Blow: 10 x 2 = 20. Maple: 25 - 20 = 5))

Elecmon - May 12, 2007 07:10 PM (GMT)
((Sorry about that when I was typing I had my profile open and was looking at the card description and I knew I needed to put it in, but after I finished typing I forgot to include it.))

Elecmon stood stunned that Maple could even move after what had just occured. He had made a monumental effort to end the battle. But even after all he had done his oppenent still had enough energy to try to attack again. This took Elecmon off guard and he was too stunned to move.

The attack headed right at Elecmon. Just before impact a ball of frozen air came flying right at Maple.

GuaranaHolic - May 12, 2007 07:49 PM (GMT)
((It's cool.))

The icy bullet hit its mark... that is, assuming its mark was the side of Maple's head. It wasn't much, but it caused him to stop dead in his tracks, and was enough to put the final nail in his coffin.

The Gabumon fell down on hands and knees, glanced around for the source of the attack, then realised that all along, someone had been there for backup if Elecmon needed it... but he hadn't until the very last minute.

"I see your bunny friend decided to join the fray too. Heh. See ya round, kids. Well fought, eh."

After he'd left his opponents with a calm and friendly smile, Maple's battered body dissolved into data fragments, which the wind then carried in a direction the trio were certain to find familier: that of Primary Village, the place Kamon had gone not long ago, and aqquired the egg of the very Elecmon who had won his very first battle that day.

((Elecmon [not you, but Elecmon Elecmon] is victorious! He gets +0.1 DEP; I don't think Lopmon really did enough to earn anything besides the satisfaction of a job well done. If any of my fellow mods disagree with me, though, they're welcome to say so. Kamon, just say the word and I'll lock this thread.))

Elecmon - May 13, 2007 12:35 AM (GMT)
((Lop doesn't get any DEP I think. The attack is part of a story I'm trying to set up. Plus the Elecmon thing might get annoying soon.))

Elecmon still stood in awe of what had just occured. He turned his head to see Lop smirking at him. "I didn't need your help."

"I wasn't helping. I was getting sick of him. So I decided to get rid of him, once and for all." Lop turned to walk back to Kamon.

'Something seems different with Lop today.' Kamon thought. 'Something bad.' He decided not to say anything as Lop continued to walk passed him straight to the location of the Trailmon tracks.

"Alright...anyway, way to go Elecmon." Kamon picked him up. "You won in your first battle."

"I know. Too bad I didn't get to finish it though." Elecmon looked up t Lop who was waiting at the tracks.

Both Kamon and Elecmon headed for the tracks where the trailmon had arrived and Lop had already boarded. All three sat on one of the benches and waited for the trailmon to take them home.

((You can close the topic now. :¦D: ))
