The Digital World is a vast place, and not all of its inhabitants are as savage as some humans believe. Many groups of digimon have banded together for various reasons, whether it be for safety, a common interest, family ties, or just to make a profit, and each of these groups has its own unique culture and customs.

As tamers explore the Digital World, they will run across many different factions, possibly becoming allies or enemies in the process. These groups will not directly participate in plot-related events unless they have a very good reason to, but the politics between groups is ever shifting, and will surely have some effect on the already chaotic Digital World.

NPCs are characters that have neither ties to a larger group, or to the storyline, prefering to stick to themselves, maybe befriending a tamer or digimon here and there.

This thread is a list of each Faction and each NPC that has been created, and controlled, by a member of the staff. Each staff member can control up to 3 fations and 3 NPCs.

Beware: If you call out Unluckymon for his view of what's fair, or anything for that matter, you WILL have to fight him.

Biography: A rather mysterious fellow that would rather talk to you, and help you with your problems of the mind, then talk about himself. He rarely even uses his true name, preferring his self-appointed title.

He has a great love of knowledge, especially of the world around him. He has traveled across the Digital World for nearly his entire life, witnessing the bizarre and the trivial. Traveling so much for so long, he has naturally gained a knowledge of nearly everything that has happened in the Digital World...or so he thought. Relentless, he pursues every mystery he comes across, seeking to find out everything he can, and to use this knowledge for the common good.

A generally jolly person, he has no qualms about helping a complete stranger with their problems, especially if they are of the mind. His illusions are quite powerful, and though his other spells are undoubtedly strong, he has no desire to fight.

Biography: Once upon a time, they were rather well known as fighters on the side of light, but recent times have been hard on them. With only four of their original seven members left, it can safely be said that their luck has run out. Despite this, the remaining members keep their spirits high, and seek to solve the mysteries before them, and fight the good fight.

You never know where they'll turn up next, or what they'll be trying to do, but beings who are good at their core never have reason to fear them. They may someday seek to replace their fallen members, but only someone of great promise would be considered for such a placement.

Kusanagi Village

The Domain of the Deep

Biography: A band of rowdy demons, criminals and villians that roam the ocean, and its shores, making trouble. Leviamon is their lord, and they follow him loyally out of mix of fear and gratefulness for the more or less free reign he gives them. The group remains mostly mysterious though, and if they have any larger goals, those are unknown to outsiders.

Suzuran
Form: Floramon
Allies: Hazer (whether or not he feels the same way is irrelevant.)
Enemies: None (although she'll gladly invent one, to further her romantic fantasies.)
Neutral: none (and its going to stay that way. Either Suzu likes you, or hates you.)
Biography: The best word to describe Suzu is, without a doubt, crazy. She would prefer the term 'hopelessly romantic,' but the lengths she'll go to for her little romantic fantasies are doubtlessly crazy. The first (and so far only known) example of this is when she met Hazer and became instantly infatuated with him. She wanted him to be a hero that saved her from a stock villian, but lacking for such a villian, she had him battle and defeat her employer. With no job to do, and no hero on hand, Suzu is presently wandering the border between the grassy plains and the forest. Watch out around her, she'll latch onto anyone, she doesn't even care about her hero's gender when she gets really desperate.

Beachbum

Biography: Beachbum used to live on the beach, where he pursued his true love, surfing. He was quite succesful at that pursuit, and even managed to support himself on the prize money. Things changed though, and after taking a rather nasty injury that crippled his left-front leg, he had to quit the sport.

He now operates a fruit stand in the city, and despite his airheaded nature, he has become quite a success at this too. Although one could argue that he gets a lot of business from his old fans, rather than through his virtues as a businessmon alone.

Biography: Who is Emul? A good question, but one that lacks a straightforward answer.

What are his goals? Mostly to find and answer the greatest question ever asked, or to ask a question that will spur the greatest answer ever given. Less esoterically, he covets rare and valuable treasures, ranging from the legendary sword Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi, to the various spirits scattered across the digital world.

What's his MO? He uses the shape-shifting powers of Metamormon to their fullest effect, appearing in the shape of the digimon best suited to the task at hand. He particularly enjoys fighting a digimon by using their own form against them, and usually appears before tamers wearing the form of one of their partners to gain their sympathy.

Biography: The Obsidian Order is a clan of extremely secretive mages and warriors. Dedicated to the pursuit of higher power to fulfill the laws and prophecies that drive the order, they train their minds and bodies diligently. From their hidden sanctuary of Silvermoon Citadel, the Order watches over the digital world for the arrival of the day their most hallowed prophecy speaks of. Their only contact with the outside is usually when Enforcers are sent to track down rogue members. They maintain a vast network of spies, and one such contact point is the Snapped Limb nightclub on the beach area. The seaside tavern is the only contact point for those wishing to contact the order.

Biography: A massive army of undead and demons under the control of the ruthless Emperor Bankaru. In their eyes, everyone is either a potential servant, or an enemy to be killed. Despite its size, the Legion is highly organized, and it seems that its leadership maintain some manner of telepathic link with their underlings.

He's no real threat to anyone who doesn't go out of their way to trouble him, though he may inadvertently endanger people with his experiments nonetheless.

Location: Their lair is in the Graveyard, but they appear whenever a tamer they have interest in finds themselves in the moonlight or knowledge of the digital world.

Most people write them off as over-powerful nutcases, but still, one can wonder....

Falcomon Family/ Georgette's Postal Service
Location: A large tree out somewhere in the plains.
Composition: Falcomon, their evolutions, and a smattering of other bird-like digimon

Biography: A simple yet large family of mail-delivering Falcomon. They promise to deliver on time, every time, come rain, sleet, or wild digimon attacks. They are happy to help anyone who needs something mailed, though their business usually comes from well-off and sophisticated digimon. They may or may not have a small obsession over one named Insomnia.

Recently , the benevolent leader, Gertrude has been overthrown by her Insomnia-following cousin, Clarence. The tree is not a warm place any longer, though evil tamers and friends of the mistress Insomnia are welcome to come by....

Erik: Mysterious masked man who came from the movie, 'The Phantom of the Opera'. In said movie, he was a sad, miserable and deformed character who haunted a few tamers, but many of those said tamers are gone. He fell in love with one of the tamers, Cleo. After almost marrying her, he let her go, and stayed in the movie, waiting. When she didn't show up, Insomnia gave Erik the power to go into the digital world. He teamed up with the digimon version of Cleo's father figure, begrudgingly exploring the world with the other old creature, for his own reasons. While he insists he is neutral, his affiliation with Insomnia never officially ended. He has killed people before, and is dangerous in general, though he may have calmed down a bit.

Biography: Before any of this existed, the Valor Alliance was a very quiet and seldom seen group. They were known of, and quite popular, but rarely seen. They kept the balance between good and evil, and made sure peace existed. When Ogre was corrupted, they allied with Amatsu and Bishop in the war against the Black War Greymon. Many of the members were lost. The group is supposedly scattered, different members lie in different locations. Currently, Riley Jackson has taken the title of leader of the Valor Alliance and is recruiting members to it's cause, while other digimon around the digital world inform others of the Alliance.

Bio: A sweet natured and friendly girl, but sometime spaces out and thinks too much, Kiri resides at the beach after she became separated from her flock during migration. For a while, she had been bullied by Big, a Gazimon that gave her a place to stay and used her because of her debt to him. But after becoming friends with the two tamers Zander and Shaun, they defeated Big and set Kiri free from his rule. Now Kiri rules the area of the beach Big once ruled, but is now more open and friendly for all tamers and digimon to come.

After meeting the sweet, but ditzy Chelsea and her partner Pin. Kiri aided the two in defeating a terrorizing Coelamon who had been making his home, and hunting grounds, by the shores of Kiri's beach. The three worked hard and eventually defeated the fish nausense, because of this Kiri is forever greateful to the two.

Biography: During the very beginning of the Digital World, an omnious being had created thirteen treasures, each one represented an element of this world. The omnious being also created the first thirteen guardians to protect these treasures from those who would seek its power for evil purposes, but also to enforce order amongst all digimon who abused their inherited element using their treasures.

Bio: This organization started way back before the war between the three Kings broke out, and htey called themselves the Royal Knights. Excelion led the group as a hidden member, but as soon as their numbers dwindled form battle, he broke up the group.

Crescemon

Trying to find her place in the world, she joins up with an organization of assassins sent to 'take care' of whoever is on wanted lists or by paid request. She and her partner, GrappLeomon (who is secretly her lover), were hunting a dangerous NeoDevimon when they encountered a human by the name of Zander Steele. The boy stood in the way of them killing their target. In fact, he absorbed the NeoDevimon as his Beast Spirit and forced them to retreat. Biography: Created before the rift between Ogre and Insomnia, the Glacial Kingdom is known for the dream crystals. Also, some old members of the Valor Alliance reside there. Riley Jackson participated in the battle that ultimately ended in The Glacial Kingdom's freedom from the harassment of Slythen and his army.

Biography: Before any of this existed, the Valor Alliance was a very quiet and seldom seen group. They were known of, and quite popular, but rarely seen. They kept the balance between good and evil, and made sure peace existed. When Ogre was corrupted, they allied with Amatsu and Bishop in the war against the Black War Greymon. Many of the members were lost. The group is supposedly scattered, different members lie in different locations. Currently, Riley Jackson has taken the title of leader of the Valor Alliance and is recruiting members to it's cause, while other digimon around the digital world inform others of the Alliance.
