Title: Demure
Otterly Lost - May 22, 2012 01:16 AM (GMT)
Aidan hadn't been certain what happened before but now he was particularly confused. Sitting a few feet away, hidden partially in the sand, was a rounded, purple and white fur ball with a rather large chomper for a mouth. If it wanted to, it could very possibly look threatening; instead, it just trembled and even with the white fur covering its face, it was definitely blushing.
Behind Aidan, the surf surged up to meet the coast and the breeze from the sea brushed through his messy, pony tailed hair. At his wrist, some kind of watch gleamed. It seemed like he was on some kind of beach instead of a soccer practice field. Grappling with caramel colored fingers, he managed to grab his dark blue cap, pulling it down over his head.
"Er..."he said.
The thing squeaked and closed its eyes, shaking even harder. Aidan took pity on it. "Hey,"he said,"I'm not that ugly am I?"
The creature opened up green eyes and stared at him, triangular pointed ears twitching. Slowly it shook its head, uprooting the sand around it. Aidan smiled and moved himself up into a crouched position, taking time to brush the sand off his rear.
"Then don't be scared,"he said. "Can you tell me what your name is and where I am?"
Slowly the creature nodded but didn't speak. Aidan blinked. "Er... will you?"he said, coaxingly.
The creature squeaked again and flushed darker. "Um... um..."
Its voice was soft and female, full of meekness. Aidan was reminded of his youngest sister at family reunions and decided the best option was to be patient. He propped his face in his hands and his elbows at his knees, smiling kindly and watching it.
... or rather she.
She got brighter red and stammered out,"You have to name me! I-I've always been called Dorimon but... you-you can call me anything you like... Uh... you're in the Digital World..."
Aidan listened and nodded not sure what the Digital World was. "So... you're like... a companion?"he asked. She nodded again. "Hmm... well... you're so shy,"he said. "How about Demure? How do you like that?" She flushed more and nodded. Aidan smiled.
"Alright, Demure,"he said. "How about you help me out then? Com'on over here..."
Demure inched out of her sandy hole, pausing to shake her self off. Grit flew off her body in a fast, tinkly sound. She stepped lightly and hesitantly toward Aidan. "You're my tamer,"she explained quietly. "That... that makes us partners."
"Partners huh? Okay... that means we take care of each other."

"awes... She's so cute~"
A floramon in a dress wispered softly as she seemingly appeared kneeling down beside Aidan as if she had been there the whole time and they just didn't notice. She held her legs in her arms, making her self as small as possible. Narsie loved younglings. Back in her village she always helped raise the newborns, she positively adored them, and them her. She was a pretty flower girl! What's not to love? She knew better then to do anything to scare the Lil girl.
"Hey dude... What's demure mean anyway?"
Wheeler whispered on the other side of Aidan, trying, though with much less success, to make himself less intimidating. Wearing a muscle shirt and a pair of baggy shorts, the crimson tiger stripe tattoos running down his arms and legs were completely visible. Unlike his partner, though just as curious about the newbies, wheeler could be, kinda, 'RawR' to some. The beast of a teenager was kinda hard to miss, how Aidan had managed to was totally beyond him, but he didn't give it much thought.
"Demure? That fits her soooo well~"

The sun beat downup the two tamers and their respective digimon while the water danced against the shoreline. Salt spray would be thrown up fromthe incoming tide, but would then receed as the waves pulled out. The wind was also blowing a very cool breeze, reducing the heat of the sun on the poor people. IT was peaceful, and continuedto stay that way after the two met.
Out in the ocean,a Gomamon rode the waves lazily. He had been playing with his fish friends the entire day that he was exhausted. The water felt very good to him and kept him cool, even though he was belly up to the sun. "What a lovely day. It couldn't get any better than this."
The Gomamon heard a voice in the distance and turned around to peak at the shoreline. What he saw brought a grin to his face. The last time he saw a human on the beach was a while ago, and he helped her out quite well. "Well, it just got better. More company besides the critter sin the ocean. Quite a blessing."
The Gomamon began to swim to shore.

Aidan thought it was a miracle that he didn't scream. He still jumped which made the tiny Dorimon flinch and inch back toward her hole. Quickly he stilled himself, despite the jittery feeling in his body. "No, its okay,"he said soothingly. "I just didn't notice them here. You can come closer..."
No wonder the poor thing had been so shy; she had an audience. Or at least, an audience for someone so small. They were quite big compared to her diminutive size; she was barely bigger than a small cat. Slowly though she approached again, watching them with wary golden eyes.
Pleased that she felt safe enough to continue her approach, Aidan smiled at the other two beach occupants. "It means meek or shy,"he explained. "I read it once it a book that my little sisters really enjoyed. It was the name of the princess."
Demure's triangular ears perked at the sound and she blushed deeply. "A princess?"she said quietly. "Do I look like a princess?" She was close enough now that Aidan could reach out to pet her; he refrained, not wanting to spook her. Instead he laughed.
"Sure you do,"he said. "Doesn't she look like a little princess?"

"Oh. Cute, guess't does work"
Wheeler looked down sweat dropped. Since when was he all that stealthy? Then again, he and narsie had be trying not to scare the poor little girl. Hopefully this wouldn't become a habit.{soooo will X3} they certainly didn't mean to scare the guy, let alone the little one. The gypsy boy nodded, taking in the information, remembering to make use of this new word some time.
"You realy didn't know wheeler? We should read more."
By no means was wheelers vocabulary limited, he just, preferred to use words that had less then three syllables, and spoke them as if they only had one. The floramon smiled, she knew her tamer said he wasn't much of a reader outside of manga and comic books, but she'd like to share her interests with him.
"yess~ she looks just like a princess, right wheeler?"
The gypsy boy blinked. "I guess so..." narsie roled her eyes at her tamer. To make demure more comfortable, the floramon dedigivolved In to her intraining level. The tanemon smiled kindly to her new friend and walked over to her in the sand.
"well, you look princessy to me."

((Inspiration i shard to come by now-a-days when your busy working on something else entirely))
The Gomamon stopped short of the shoreline and watched form the distance. Apparently, he saw that there were two humans and their respective digimon companions. HE still held his grin, but he could also tell that one of the boys had a general grasp of the situation; or what seemed like it. Putting everything behind him, he waddled up on the beach.
"Hallo there humans and Digimon," he called.
From the general looks, the boy sitting down, Aiden, wore a blue baseball cap and had caramel colored skin. His respective digimon was known as a Dorimon, and by the body language she gave off, she wasn't use to so much attention.
The other boy, Wheeler, wore a muscle shirt which greatly visualized the the tiger stripe tattoos down his arms. The boy had a nice tone about him while also wearing a pair of baggy shorts. These too gave off the tiger stripes that were on his leg. All in all, the Gomamon found the boy intimidating, but his Tanemon was all harmless looking. All in all, the two boys and their digimon were in good company.
