Title: Taking care of buisness
Description: Venus and Trista teach a "lesson"
Celticwrath - March 15, 2012 02:30 AM (GMT)
If there was anything Renamon loved more then a good scrap, then it was a chance to shut up a couple of wily punks that have been terrorizing the woods. She took the lead, Venus following close behind her as she sniffed, kept her ears keen, and surveyed the forest, looking for the quarry that she and her partner had signed up to try and deal with. She'd go back to that guild if this proved to be fun or challenging, she liked a good challenge.
"So do we even know who were looking for?" Venus asked, doing her best to keep up with her more experienced partner. "Other then its a destructive pair? The poster was sorta...brief" She said, panting as they stopped, Trista sniffing around, getting her bearings.
"Only a troublesome pair. Don't worry, I think We'll know em when we see em" Trista said, smirking back at her struggling partner. "This is the easy part, once we fight them I hope your ready with those cards or whatever" she said, helping the small lizard get through the brush. "I just hope it doesn't do anything too strange..."
"They wont, just focus more on finding them, and well take them out" Venus said, bringing up her omni tool reflexively, dismissing it as they continued going. Who would they be up against?

"I hear somethin'"
"You always hear something!"
"You would too, if you had ears this size! You have any idea how hard it is to sleep when you can hear a twig snap from eighty yards!?"
"As hard as it is to sleep with you whining about it?"
The first speaker was a creature with a spindly, blue fur covered body, and leathery red wings. He had large ears, and his limbs ended in hooks. Two of which were snagged into the large oak tree from which he hung.
The other, female, was a silver shelled insect. Its exoskeleton-covered form was slung low on the ground, trying to sleep in the tree's shade. Long antennae trailed from the back of her head, and there was a large disc mounted above her wings.
"Can't you use your radar to search or something? You are Searchmon, after all."
Searchmon gave a warbling hiss. "Just go look for it. I looked last time." The duo had been meandering around the forest, mugging whomever crossed their path. They'd lived on stolen food for weeks, and spent some of their hard earned bits on drink from a nearby tavern that was willing to look the other way.
"Fine," Pipismon gave a supersonic shriek and dropped from the tree, and fluttered off in the direction of the noise he heard. His ears worked as he drew closer, and then his eyes caught it too, two approaching Digimon. He landed quietly in a tree, and noticed that the duo was heading right for their impromptu camp.

As the two walked along, Trista thought she heard murmuring in the forest. She stopped, taking a whiff around and perking her ears, trying to listen in on any potential attackers. After a while her ears flattened and she tensed up. Oh yes, someone was definitely here. "Get ready, someone's close, and they don't feel friendly" She said, looking back to nevus with a cocky grin.
The Vmon nodded, Tensing up a bit herself. She was no stranger to combat, neither was she unwilling if the fight was good. She just worried about what they were facing. If these two digimon were above their level the fight would turn ugly. And an ugly fight was something she didn't want. Digimon may only become data when they were struck down, but Venus didn't want to die.
Suddenly Trista looked skyward and growled. She jumped into the trees, looking for one of her targets. She could smell him, she knew he was there. She needed him to come out and play so she could get this mission over with.
(sorry its short XD; lol))

Pipismon saw the strangers halt. Though there just a pair of Digimon, as Pipismon and his partner were, there was something odd about them. They seemed... out of place here. It's no coincidence they stumbled onto us! No sooner than did Pipismon spread his wings to start his flight back to warn Searchmon than did the Renamon leap with shocking agility into a nearby tree.
Opening his mouth wide, he gave a high-pitched, three second long shriek. It was beyond the auditory range of most humans and even a fair number of Digimon, but Searchmon would feel the vibration and know it meant trouble.
With backup on the way, Pipismon set his mind on holding back the intruders in the short term. "Crazy!" he inhaled sharply. "Sonic!" The air visibly rippled as high-pitched sound blasted from his widened maw, directed through the foliage at the approaching Renamon.

As Trista looked around, suddenly there was a loud pitched shriek from out of no where. She yelped and covered her ears, wincing in pain. This hurt a lot, but it didn't deter her. She hissed, turning to the direction of the attack and saw her attacker. She kicked off the tree, dashing at her opponent through the tree tops. She spread her arms and legs, shards of energy springing to life like fireflies. "Diamond storm!" she shouted, sending the energy shards shrinking at the bat. (hah, wordplay 8D)
Meanwhile Venus saw the tree that Trista was attacked in, and tried to find her attacker with little success. She watched her friend Jump at a tree and did her best to follow on foot. She took a running start at the base of the tree the pipsimon was in and launched herself at it, using a V-Headbutt to try and shake the tree, making it harder for the attacker to focus.
After she landed she looked around. Where was the partner?.
Vn70072 - April 3, 2012 08:45 PM (GMT)
Unfortunately for Venus, the Pipismon had already gone airborne in order to avoid the incoming Diamond Storm. Leaves were shredded, twigs snapped, and branches scored by the fearsome barrage. Pipismon managed to avoid the worst of it, though his sensitive wings had picked up several painful perforations. "Crazy - Sonic!" He yelled again, aiming through foliage at the distinct yellow blur.
"Jamming Hertz!" The air rippled and sparked as an electrical pulse swept through the underbrush toward Venus. Visible near a large tree nearby was a ponderous, silver-shelled insect, the dome on her back alight as it spun back and forth, emitting the jamming wave.

Trista managed to twist in mid air to see the pipsimon ready his attack at her. She smirked, waiting for him to launch it, boy was he in for a surprise. The minute the attack left his mouth, leaves swirled around the renamon, as well as the bat, covering them in a flurry of leaves. "Fox change void!" she cried, suddenly appearing where the bat was previously, switching places with him so his own attack would hit himself instead of her. "I wonder if Venus has handled your partner yet?~"
The correct answer was no she hadn't. Quite frankly she didn't know about the attack coming right at her, and therefore took the brunt of it. She yelped in suprise as she was slammed into a tree. She pushed up gingerly, narrowing her eyes at the silver bug, now in sight. "Humph, Jerk" she said, standing up and conjuring her sword. She rushed at it, sword lowered, eyes completely fixated on the metal bug.
The fight was on.
Vn70072 - June 14, 2012 04:56 PM (GMT)
The surprise at being flung into the path of his own attack meant Pipismon didn't have the time to avoid it. His sensitive ears were overloaded by his own sonic attack, leaving a painful ringing sensation. His whole body felt the same to a less degree, like someone had tried shaking it apart.
Sweeping his wings, Pipismon tried to put some distance between himself and Trista. Foliage helped shield him as he circled the battlefield, waiting for a chance to strike.
A direct charge? Really? Venus's move against Searchmon was painfully obvious, and painfully easy to interdict. Her dish already spun up, the silver-shelled insect fired another blast of electromagnetic energy at her oncoming enemy. "Jamming Hertz!"
Celticwrath - June 16, 2012 01:32 AM (GMT)
Trista kept on the pipsimon like a gnat on a sweaty man. She hopped through the foliage, disapearing beneath him. When she was right below him he kicked off a thick tree, launching herself right up at him, closign her fist and bringing it up, it sparking into a pale blue flame as she did. "Power paw!" she cried, hoping to catch the winged digimon off guard and smack it hard with her flaming fist.
Venus however, was having less luck. She tried to avoid the blast by jumping, the resulting blast behind her launching her sideways. She rolled into a tree, grunting as she hit it with a thick *Thunk!*. She got up, grumbling to herself as the pain from the crash permeated faintly. Thankfully her tough hide took the brunt of the attack. That said, she couldn't keep on attacking like that.
She pulled up her Omni-tool and swiped a card.
Suddenly three more Venus's spring into existence. Each had a sword in her hand and all rushed the metallic bug. Hopefully the wide spread clones would confuse the metal bug and give her a chance to bite into it with her digizoid sword. The little dip in energy was something she noticed immediately, though she toughed it out, she had too, and probably would have too again.
Name: Data Duplication
Type: Single Target
Duration: Remainder of the battle
Effect: Up to three holographic clones of the affected Digimon appear. These copies are for confusion purposes only, and have no physical form (meaning they cannot use attacks or take any damage).
Vn70072 - June 27, 2012 06:13 PM (GMT)
A high-pitched cry of pain rippled through the jungle as the fiery attack struck Pipismon. Yet the pain brought the bat only momentary pause. "Sky Jacker!" Swinging the hooks on his legs around, he tried to latch onto Trista and drag her higher up into the forest canopy. If he could get high enough above it, the fall alone might do the Renamon in even she got loose.
"What!? Dammit..." Searchmon's compound eyes tracked the four Digimon rushing toward her, but she knew only one would be real. "Jamming Hertz!" She fired again at one, but its form rippled. It was a fake. The real one was the one who had just slashed into her side with a sword. Growling, Searchmon swung around and lashed at Venus with one of her antenna.
Celticwrath - July 4, 2012 03:53 AM (GMT)
Trista gasped in sudden shock at being dragged up into the canopy. She hissed, not willing to let herself be caught by any mere bat. She clenched her fist, it once more springing to life with fire. She couldn't move to strike the bat, but she could try something. She reached behind her with her hand on fire, trying to grab the bats head or wings. "Come here you little rat!"
Venus smirked when her clone ploy worked and she cut into the metal bugs side with her blade. Her smirk soon turned to alarm when she saw it turn. She jumped to the side to avoid her antennae, then sprung forward, using her V-Headbutt attack to try and knock the metallic bug down a notch or two. "Eat this!"
Vn70072 - July 16, 2012 10:48 PM (GMT)
Pipismon wavered back and forth, trying to throw off Trista's ability to grasp at him. He ended up dropping her in the process however, and rolled over in midair. "Hot, hot!" he grumbled, swatting at a singed and smoldering section on his belly.
Searchmon was rocked back by Venus's impact, but she had the advantages of her greater mass and hardened exoskeleton. Her shell crackled from the force of the impact, and pain dazed the Searchmon for a split second before she could recover. "Jamming Hertz," she fired at Venus, hoping the V-mon would have no time to avoid the attack.
Celticwrath - July 18, 2012 03:02 AM (GMT)
Trista gave a mental cheer when the pipsimon let her go. She didnt have long to celebrate though, she needed to tag this baddie and fast. She angled herself around as she fell and energy popped up in front of her in little shards and lights. "Diamond storm!" she cried, sending the little shards of energy streaking up after the pipsimon, acting like mid air shrapnel from the explosion of a grenade. if only Trista knew what a grenade was.
Venus was having less luck then her counterpart, being blasted back once more by the Searchmons attack. She rolled to the ground this time, avoiding any nearby trees luckily. She coughed a bit, getting up and growling. She had to hold this thing off tell it either decided to run or Trista came back. Preferably the latter since the mission description asked they both be dealt with, but she was fine with just one. "V-Headbutt!" she cried, launching herself, not at the Searchmon, but instead at a tree near the searchmon, hoping to snap it off and make it fall on the big bug.
