"...Thanks."

The waitress almost Looked back with a smile. It was nice.

"I have to remember to tip her..."

Normaly, he would have noticed everything about the girl, not tonight though. Just the smile. That was enough for tonight. The tavern was, almost quiet tonight, still full of life, but the tone felt softer to the tamer. Not the normal kinda war friendly soft, nope, the Aquarius that he was, David would have described it more as the kinda soft bred is when margrine is too solid to spread on it. The hardness of butter is directly related to the softness of the bread. A silly analogy at best, but it almost made sence to the tamer.

"now does that make me the bread, or the butter?"

The tamer asked himself, almost honestly as he looked down at the drink which the waitress had left at his table. He kinda had it in his hand, but he Realy didn't. The glass of fizzing liquid seemed to be on some other plain of existence then the one he currently resided within. He traced his ringed middle finger along the rim of the glass, curiously, though that was all that he planed to do with it.

The tamer sat in a small table somewhere near the back of the tavern. Not in a corner like he normaly would have wanted, tonight he didn't mind. Right now, that little table for two was his own little universe. The drink infront of him almost seemed to be like an intruder to his little world. Then again, he was the one who ordered it, wasn't he?

He could have just sat at the bar Realy, it didn't matter where he was, he'd have probably been in his own little world regardless. Leaving his right hand to trace around the cup, David ran his free hand through his wild ashen brown mane. He still wasn't use to that. As far as he'd ever known, he had ash grey hair his entire life, but with the coming of certain events in his life it would seem that he was mistaken.

He had, gotten back what he had lost. All of it. Sixteen years of his life had returned to him after being forced to take on a new one just a bit more the three years ago. So much made sence now.
Every memory he had ever lost was back. But he felt so wrong. Over those three years he had grown into some one completly different then the person he now had memories of. No matter how he looked at them, they just didn't feel like they belonged. And yet there he was, a tamer siting along in a tavern, staring into a strangers hazelgreen eyes through his glass of fizzy liquid.

"Birthdate, twenty-ninth of January, nineteen ninety three. Birthplace, penticton general hospital, penticton British Colombia. Birth name, Atreyu Kintaru..."

The tamer stopped there with a sigh. How many times had he heard those lines spoken over his head as a child? Going from group home to group home, like the place and date of his birth had some say as to who he was. Atreyu Kintaru. He refused that name. He remembered that now. Eight years ago, he started calling himself David Lakner. That silly little girl with her freckles and missing front teeth.

A smile came to the young man's face now. He remembered that silly litle girl, but for the life of him, he couldn't give her a name. Which was a sad bit of irony, seeing as see had given him his. I, like David, she'd say, because she couldnt quite say 'atreyu' without her front teeth, I like David, it's from the Bible. He was a little boy, who fought a giant and ended up being a king! She liked to exaggerate that last part a bit, in her expression anyway, the way some children do.

David smirked to himself as he considered the fact that he ended up being more like a giant with his build. Silly Irony he supposed. Maybe later he'd remember the little girls name.

It wasn't likly though. He found it easier to remember where he'd acquired his sir name. He'd won it. It was more of a title the a name truth be told. Lakner, or well Renkal. propperly used before ones name, like Renkal such and such, it was just a made up word. Made by the older boys in his last group home, it was a title to be respected in that neighborhood. The title of Renkal, agent to the strongest of the group home. David earnt it. Renkal David Lakner. He figured that Lakner looked better in wrighting then Renkal, so for the sake of an actual last name, he just used it back wards.

It was late, or well early. David was actualy about to question as to why the tavern was still open at six am, but he figured that it was pointless, besides, too much of a bother. Late or early, David had left home just before twelve o'clock, he wanted to be alone for a bit tonight. Normaly he'd have gone to the cathedral, but, things didn't work out so well for him the las time.

His partners would be ok with out him for awhile. Kayo and Dash were asleep when he left, and Aqua was taking a bath. They were all training to master their ultimate level evolutions. Dash and Kayo made excelent training partners, as there strengths and weaknesses seemed to corespond so well. As per usual lately, David spent most of his time with Aqua. He truly did love her.

"Um... Hi..."

A voice chimed infront of the tamer, beautiful and familiar, David actualy broke his gaze from the green eyed reflection to look up. Aqua stood across from the Green eyed youth, her own rippling ruby eyes glancing shyly at the glass. She held her right arm at the wrist with her left, kindof half turned away and lightly biting her bottom lip. It was almost like she expected him to turn her away.

"can I join you?"

David smiled and nodded, catching him self from initiating eyecontact with the blue hair girl. Could she join him... She was why he chose a table with two chairs that was out of the way. Actualy, he had ordered the drink for her. Sparkling strawberry water. It was he favorite. He motions for aqua to sit down, not sure if he should stand up to greet her, he kinda just passed her the drink.

"I ordered this for you, I guess I figured that you would fallow me..."

This was how Renkal David said " I'm Realy glad too see you", luckily, aqua understood that. Brushing a strand of blue hair away from her eyes, aqua moved her hands past the glass to hold his, which seemed to just be floating there, his finger orbiting a surface that was no longer there.

"David... I, I'm not sure how I can help you understand that I am for you..."
