History: Originally the youngest child of American Telecommunications Gene Winters and Korean Kyung Dae, Anika was born in Colorado and came to the Digital World via a computer screen in her high school computer technology application class. There one of the first Digimon she met was the brave and valiant Zeal who saved her from being lunch to a Dokugumon. He lead her to the Digital City where he adventure began in earnest, her gaining her two partners through time and trial.

These two partners, however, were little to no match when faced against Ogre and his Mistress, Insomnia. Anika had a hero streak and it was this streak that lead to her partners being subdued and herself captured and held hostage. She underwent months of pain and torture at the hands of her sleeplessness with a single, solitary Black Gabumon being the one to ferry her too and from her "play" sessions with the warped human being.

During the last session before Insomnia's fall, Anika's partners were destroyed right before her eyes; the pain of it was a great stress on the girl who blamed herself for their downfall. The Black Gabumon, who was already nauseated by the pain and torment put upon the girl sympathesized greatly and waited for his chance to save the young girl. His opportunity came that day.

Insomnia had been brutal that day and left the frail Anika unconscious and barely alive before slithering away on some mission. The Gabumon, named Terminus, quickly gathered the girl up and began to make his sneaky escape from the lair. Half way through his escape, Insomnia fell and the great ripple hit them. In its wake, he was cast from the Dark Ocean into the jungle. Weakened by it, he still managed to get the tamer to the hospital before collapsing himself.

It took several months of recovery before Anika came to. It wasn't a pleasant awakening, the only good news being Insomnia's demise. Terminus was there to explain everything; he was also there to see her weep for the loss of her two partners...
