Title: Ice Princesses
Description: Glacier & Diedrika

"Ugh, my head," Glacier grumbled, stirring lightly from her sleep. A single bleary azure eye creaked open, and the light filtering in from outside drilled a stabbing into her head. The night before... was kind of a blur. She remembered the party, for something Zack had called 'Fat Tuesday', and for awhile the Bastemon had enjoyed it.
Afterwords though she'd managed to make her way to one of the tavern's rooms. Now though she could feel that she wasn't alone as she was sprawled at the foot of the bed. "Zack...?" Glacier shook her head to try and clear it, but promptly regretted that as she could practically feel her brain bouncing painfully around her skull.

"..."
She'd had one too many drinks yesterday. She knew. She was pretty damn sure of it. If a bed creaking had the sounds of something being cracked open with a sledgehammer, she was sure that - wait, her bed was creaking?
Frantic, Diedrika picked herself up with a loud yell. What was in her bed. Who was in it. A mumble came from the other side of the bed - and while Diedrika didn't know who it was, the voice was visibly feminine. "... no, it's not Zack ..." she muttered in response as she hugged a pillow.
"... wait. Who the devil are you."

"Hey, hey," Glacier winced at the surprised yell. Cats hard sharp ears in the best of times, and the pounding headache wasn't helping any. "Not so loud." Peaking open another eye, she saw Diedrika further up the bed, currently clutching a pillow. "Not Zack," she agreed, slightly dismayed.
Groaning, the Bastemon slowly sat. Though the room wobbled a little, the pounding subsided a little. "Glacier," she said, stretching tentatively before looking at Diedrika again. "You were at the party... last night?"

The girl moved a little closer to Glacier; company was still company, even if it came in the form of a rather furry creature known as a bastemon. "O-oh, nice to meet you, Glacier," she smiled, though it seemed a little watery. Diedrika didn't like admitting it, but she was a little scared after yesterday's party - it was overwhelmingly crazy with alcohol flowing freely and party pills thrown into the mix by a suspicious digimon.
"Yeah ... umm, were you too, Glacier?" she asked with a sigh, "My name is Diedrika and I'm wondering what happened during then ... it was so-oh-oh crazy."

"O-oh, nice to meet you, Glacier,"
"Likewise," said Glacier, grinning a little behind the thin veil across the lower half of her face. Her ears twitched a little. Even now that she was vertical, Glacier's head still felt like it was in a vice, a vice capped by a bucket and hit with a hammer in the steady rhythm of her pulse. "Yeah, I was there."
"Man, that must've been sooome party," she said, stretching out and yawning. "Any idea how we ended up here?"

Diedrika hugged the pillow a little tighter and glanced at the bastemon. "I think the hotel staff musta carted us here ... I-I didn't really mean cart, I meant ... ugh," she groaned, gently knocking the side of her head with the heels of her palm. "My head hurts, Glace." She pouted; her head rested on the soft pillow.
"Maybe it's some prank ..."

"Mine too," Glacier said sympathetically, giving a huff. Crossing her legs, she rested her elbows on her knees. "I knew I had some drinks, but I didn't think," her eyes winced shut painfully. "this much."
"Prank?" Glacier echoed, chuckling softly. "Weird prank," she murmured, rubbing her thigh.
Redtide - March 24, 2011 07:24 AM (GMT)
"I guess," Diedrika sighed, defeat echoing within her voice. "It's a stupid prank." She reached out; in the midst of her thoughts, she had started scratching Glacier's ears absentmindedly. "And whoever brought all those liquor was really unthoughtful ..."
"I did have a good time, but ... I didn't expect to drink all that stuff ..." The girl frowned, recalling the strange concoctions she had swallowed voluntarily in a state of drunkenness. "That Bloody Mary Special Version Three was crazy."
"... I can't believe I drank all that ..."

Glacier found herself leaning reflexively into the touch, a purr rumbling in her throat. It seemed to relax her a little, and the throbbing in the Bastemon's head eased slightly. "W-what?" she said slowly, wondering why Diedrika was scratching her ear. "Not that I mind or anything," she added quickly, for it did feel good. Even the four-alarm hangover couldn't ruin that.
"... I can't believe I drank all that ..."
"Same," muttered Glacier. "I think once you drink enough, you don't think about how much you've already had. I was trying to get Zack - my tamer - to loosen up a little. I guess I overdid it, trying to set an example..."
Redtide - March 31, 2011 12:53 PM (GMT)
"Tell me about it, Glace."
Diedrika was in a similar situation as the feline. She had been in a drinking contest with her brother and Loki - the ryuudamon had won easily - and lost. Now she was sitting in this very room with a throbbing head.
"I think a cold shower helps ... or maybe we should try to sleep it off ..."
Vn70072 - April 5, 2011 04:28 PM (GMT)
"Coffee might too," Glacier said. "And supposedly, what you drank can have an impact, but we're a bit past that point now..." She smiled ruefully.
Fragmented memories of the night replayed, her interactions with the other party goers. Some bits were most tantalizing, but she was having a hard time putting it all together before things just went murky and she wound up here.
"So, did you have fun at least?"
