Faythe Astré GarronAlias:
Sky blue (base and buttons) and White (trim)Alignment:
July 3rd, 2040Nationality:
Star Point, Texas (A cape in Rains County)Personality:
Eccentric is the best word to describe such a character. She is adventurous and very imaginative to the point where reality disappears and is replaced by fantasy. This causes her to habitually space out, dropping off and picking up conversation in odd places, becoming engaged in internal dialogue or have conversations with herself, and at times completely block out the world and people around her. Although Faythe is certainly a lot better with abstract situations rather than people, she does enjoy socializing and making new friends. Faythe is very sweet and innocent, to the point of being overly gullible, naive, and unaware of the actual dangers around her.Through even the darkest times, however, she can see the optimistic and hopeful side (sometimes she is impractical about it as well). The teenager is very expressive, enthusiastic, and gregarious, often attracting attention to herself which she enjoys doing. This does not mean, however, that she is self-centered, conceited, or down right dramatic to get attention; in fact, Faythe is the exact opposite. She enjoys attention, but is not willing to do anything to get it. Her life is not centered around what the rest of the world is doing. The fact that she sees it in a unique way and often blocks the reality of it out is proof of that. The girl's obliviousness makes her very accident-prone.Appearance:
Faythe is petite for her age standing only about 4'8" and weighing only about 92 lbs. An unusual trait passed down from the women on her mother's side of the family is having green eyes that gradually fade to blue once they become older. Faythe is the only one to inherit her father's cold, blue eyes though hers are much warmer. Because both of her parents have black hair, she has inherited the same color and the same style as her mother's: a single, black bang that curves along her nose, a pair of bangs that brush against her chin, and naturally messy yet straight at the top. She has also inherited the "sweetest smile" from her mother. She is frequently seen in sundresses or "cutesy" outfits and is always
wearing a pair of goggles, usually settled on the bill of a newsboy cap.Relatives:
Shana Garron (mother), Jet Akechi (father), Glenn Akechi (uncle), Joseph Akechi (oldest uncle)History:
[This history takes place in the not-too-distant future... Like another 50 - 200 years.] Shana Garron and Jet Akechi had known each other since they were babies and she had loved him since Pre-school. Their father died at a young age, so it was up to Shana's mother Larianna and Jet's oldest brother, Joseph, to take care of Jet and the middle brother, Glenn. World War III started when the kids were only ten years old, but America was doing all that it could to keep the war off US soil. When Jet was 14, he left home followed by his older brothers in search of a life beyond the cape. One year later, Shana's mother grew sick and died leaving the fifteen-year-old to fend for herself. She got a job in the town and payed for all her bills. Two more years went by and Shana woke up to yelling, screaming, and genuine panic. Citizens were fleeing from the town to the cape, chased by soldiers of the Aries Formation, who had ravaged the town just south of the cape. They were prepared to do the same to Shana's home, but she fought back without hesitation. The lieutenant commanding the army captured her as a POW and later released her for his own devious purposes.
At age 18, Shana Garron lead a small group called the "Astrean Rebels" who miraculously took back a major port city in Florida. The group grew in number and traveled North to free Canada who allied with the US. Secret groups all over the country affiliated with the Astrean Rebels and within eleven months, over half the US's major cities and ports were freed. Fate crossed the paths of Shana and her beloved Jet, who was a general of the Aries Formation, in a little town called Sweetwater, Texas. An important platoon of the Aries Formation was passing through the little town and the Astrean Rebels, who had been informed of the army's route by Shana's previous captor, set up an ambush. The platoon fought back and were held there by the Astrean Rebels for an entire week. On the fourth day of that week, Shana came face-to-face with the man she loved. They fought each other with all their strength and neither could win. Come sunset, the two of them called a cease-fire to bury their dead and tend to their wounded. That was the night that Shana crept into Jet's tent. Faythe was conceived that same night.
Thanks to the Astrean Rebels, the Aries Formation was crushed within the next seven months. Shana was huge and had yet to send word to Jet that she was pregnant. By the time he finally got the message, the war had retreated from US soil and he had left for Indonesia to join his brothers. Shana returned to the cape to find her cottage needed a few repairs. It had been kept safe by the traitor lieutenant who had captured her. The man's name, she discovered in a letter tucked under the door, was Lynx and he was a good friend of the Akechi brothers' deceased father. He sent his congratulations for the as-of-then unborn child. Faythe Astré Garron was born two months later.
Instead, Shana raised Faythe with the utmost care. Faythe would have said "too much care" because she always felt somewhat sheltered. The child never knew her father personally, but Shana explained again and again that her father wasn't the kind of man who could settle down. For the entirety of her childhood, Faythe wasn't allowed to go out on her own even as a teenager. That put somewhat of a strain on her relationship with her mother and it sometimes graduated into arguments which Shana tried to avoid. In fact, Faythe noticed that her mother tried to avoid any and all conflict. The child always felt that her mother kept secrets because she knew nothing about her mother's life before and Shana had told her nothing of her involvement with World War III nor what she had been doing with her life up until Faythe's birth.
Socially, Faythe started with many friends, but as she grew older and more eccentric with vivid ideas of a world beyond this one where magical creatures dwelled, her amount of friends dwindled. That was okay; Faythe had imaginary friends. She often had dreams of creatures flying around and helping her. Perhaps this was what first drove her to online RPG's. It was this very escape route from the world around her into her imagination that granted Faythe access to the Digital World.Special Abilities:
Faythe has a special ability that allows her to see the Light within people. It is a vision that "skitzes" like a television screen on and off. When it's "on", the world is gray-scale with human beings being the most neutral of all gray colors. Their heart appears in her eyes as either a light (similar to that of a flash or solar flare in a picture) or an inverted light if they possess a dark soul. She cannot see the light or darkness within Digimon unless it is super-powerful (i.e. Omnimon, Beelzebumon) and within her own heart shines a light that appears as nothing more than a flash glare when she looks at herself in a mirror. In other words, that's how bright her light is. She has no other abilities other than this sight.Info:
Faythe hiccups when she gets upset, she collects plush toys, and enjoys karaoke, online RPGs, and fashion design as hobbies. This particular teenager is not exactly the definition of sheer brute strength. In fact, she has hardly any physical strength at all which is why she relies heavily on her Digimon. She also has a restless imagination which can get her into trouble at times, especially because the real world is replaced by her mental fantasies. This can be dangerous as the girl not only becomes accident prone, but she doesn't pay attention to anything often leading her into dangers. A great weakpoint is that Faythe is sometimes too enthusiastic about action and adventure and simply jumps in to battles without thinking, often causing mischief for the party because they have to bail her out.
