Title: Garrett's Apartment
Garenthis - October 26, 2009 03:04 AM (GMT)
(After entering Digital World)
Garrett woke up against a wall on the side of a building. "Where am I?"
Taking a quick glance around, he notices that the streets wern't filled with people, but with strange creatures. "Hm..." Garrett said to himself. "I think I should go look around."
Garrett got up and realized that the egg he picked up was in his lap, and the watch was now a Grey and White D-Ban. He walked out into the street, and climbed the stairs up to an apartment building. On the front door, there was a sign, and it said, "Digimon Tamers Apartment Complex B." Also below that, it said "Floor's 1-6 are full, but floor 7 is still open."
Garrett gave a shrug, not knowing what a Digimon Tamer was, he decided to enter the building. Not careing to look at the room, he ascended the stairs up to floor 7. "Maybe I'll take room 701?"
As Garrett walked down the empty, quiet corridor, he found room 701 on his left. A small click was heard as the door unlocked, and a voice said, "Welcome DigiTamer Garrett, this will be your room from now on."
Garenthis gave a small smile to the talking door, "Now that was cool" he thought. Upon looking at the room, he noticed a decent size kitchen, with a refigerator and a stove plus some cupboards filled with certain foods. A small living room with one couch, and a t.v. Behind the couch was two walls, one led to the bathroom, the other to the bedroom. With a yell at the top of his voice, "Yes, I finally have another home!"
Garrett laughed a bit, put the egg on the couch, the 5000 bits he somehow mysteriously got was in his pocket, and he went to the bedroom. "Good night." He said before closing his eyes.
Garenthis - October 26, 2009 11:52 PM (GMT)
Garrett awoke that morning and decided to cook up some grub before heading out to go exploring. As he put the frying pan on the stove, he looked through the fridge to see that the only thing there was about 6 eggs, a loaf of bread and some milk. "I think I might need to go shopping soon"
As Garret whipped up the eggs in a wooden bowl and poured it into the pan. He then gets a small glass of milk and puts it on the counter. Garrett then continued cooking breakfast until a crack was heard. "What's that sound?" he said to himself.
Turning off the stove as to not burn his eggs, he walks ove to the couch and notices a tiny crack in the egg. The egg was shaking quite violently as if it was hatching, but Garrett decided to peak through the hole anyways. "Hello there little guy," he said looking into the egg, "are you there?"
The egg rolled over off the couch and landed on the wooden floor.(Forgot the wooden floor in first post.) As it landed, another crack split the egg a bit more. A tiny sound was heard through the crack as bubbles started to come through. "Strange?" Garrett thought before he returned to cooking. "Hmm, I guess I should just contiune to cook and wait for it to hatch."
Garrett started cooking the eggs again while listening to the breaking of an egg shell in the background. Grabbing a plate from the cabinet and setting it on the table, Garrett, grabbed the pan of eggs and put them on his plate. By around this time, the bread was being toasted and the sound of egg cracking has stopped. "Has it finished hacthing already?"[I]
Garrett took a look at the floor, and found that the egg was split in two. Then, looking up on the counter where the plate of eggs were, was a small digimon with his horn attached to his head. Garrett got up from the ground and yelled to the furball, "Hey, those are my eggs your eating!"
The furball faced the Digi-Tamer and let out a small burp before speaking, "I'm sorry for eating your scrambled eggs, but I was really hungry from being in that digi-egg for a long time. Oh yes, my name is Tsunomon, and you must be my tamer."
Garrett stumbled backwards and tripped over the couch, "What do you mean by a Digi-Tamer? 'Cause I'm really confused about this world."
The Tsunomon replied with another burp, "Well...I can't really remember much about this world 'cause...well..." Tsunomon gets lost in thought.
"Well nevermind the world part 'cause I'll figure it out eventually, but what can you tell me about a Digi-Tamer?" Garrett asked while getting up off the couch to go turn off the stove that was starting to burn his toast.
Tsunomon jumpped off the counter and hopped over to Garrett, "Well, a Digi-Tamer is...hm... that's right! A Digi-Tamer is somone who has partnered with a Digimon to help him out in the digital world. They sorta share a bond with each other, and eventually, we become to attached to people for long periods until we either get deleted or our Digi-Tamer...well...dies."
Garrett's face went pale as he turned off the stove. "Wait?" Garrett exclaimed. "What do you mean by get deleted?"
Tsunomon gave a small laugh as he looked at the burnt toast, "Well...We are reborn as new digimon when we are deleted, so we can never truely die; though if we are deleted, we will come back in the future, maybe with a bit of memory loss, but we'll be back."
Garrett looked at the burnt toast and threw it to Tsunomon, "Go ahead and have the toast, I'll go buy more food later." He said before cleaning the pan. "So...will you stay as Tsunomon forever, or what happens?"
Tsunom jumpped onto the toast and started eating. As he looks up, he says between mouthfuls, "Well-I-can-digivolve-to-my-rookie-form-already," Tsunomon swallows and continues, "There are multiple levels of Digimon going from the level Rookie to Bio-merging. So in other news, yes I will digivolve to Strabimon as soon as i get more to eat. Also, can I have a name? I really want a name."
Garrett laughed as he put the pan away and said, "Yea, You'll get to eat, but I need to buy some more food before I can do anything, 'cause I'm starving right now."
Tsunomon jumpped up onto the counter and said to Garrett, "Well at least can ya cary me there? I wanna be with my Digi-Tamer."
Garrett smiled and picked up Tsunomon. Heading to the door, Garrett puts on his shoes and grabs the handle, slowly turning it. As he entered the hallway, the Tsunomon burped and asked, "Can I have my name now?" before Garrett closed the door.

(Back from the shopping)
Garrett took off his shoes as he entered the door, "I wonder why no one lives up here, I mean, it's sorta lonely if theres no one to talk to."
He puts the groceroes in the fridge and pulls out some sushi and put on the counter. He then grabs a plate and sits down at the counter. Grabbing he fork he "used" earlier, Garret picked out some sushi and put it on his plate. Then he whistles as Tsunomon jumps onto the counter. "You can have the rest." Garrett said as he slowly ate the tuna roll.
Tsunomon was all over the sushi. He started to eat really fast and of course, didn't care about his manners, he just ate. Then Tsunomon said, "Wow, this is really good. What is it?"
Garrett smiled and answered, "Well... It's called sushi, and its sorta a Japanese food. Consiting of some raw fish, crab, ginger on the side, and of course seaweed and rice. It's really healthy for ya too."
Tsunomon burped and said, "Well it's really good, and thanks for sharing it with me."
Garrett said, "No problem..." but was interupted when the D-Ban said "Digivolution"
Garrett looked up to see a flash of white light, then he heard "Tsunomon digivolve to... Strabimon."
As the light left the area, a Strabimon stood right where Tsunomon was. Garrett blinked and asked, "So let me guess... this is your Rookie form?"
Strabimon answered, "Yes, it is my Rookie form."
Garrett was about say something when Strabimon said, "So, can I have a name now? I don't feel like being known as just Strabimon. So can I?"
A laugh was heard as Garrett replied, "Well yea, I'll give ya a name. Just hold on real quick."
Garrett pulled out a piece of dirty paper that had a list of names he wanted to go by. He skimed down the list and stopped upon the name "Syl". He then looks up and asks to Strabimon, "Will Syl work for you as a name?"
Strabimon was quiet but soon he replied with, "It's Perfect! Syl the Strabimon! Awsome! Now people will know my name!"
Garrett laughed and put his hand on Syl's shoulder, "Well, calm down, your still a rookie."
Syl looks at Garrett and says, "I know that..."
Garrett gave a smile which caused Syl to quiet down. "Now how about we rest for a bit before heading outta town?" he asked
Syl replied with a nod, and the two just fell asleep in the counter chairs.
Garenthis - March 29, 2010 04:55 AM (GMT)
The sun started to set as the room filled with the ray's last light. Rainbows filled the surrounding area and the room was in a state of bliss. It wasn't long after the sun dissappeared and the moon rose before the door boke open. In the door way was the unconscious Garrett, Syl, and the Silver Digi-egg. He moved slowly to the bed where he deposited Garrett's limp body. He then tucked Garrett in and put the egg on the side of the bed. "That was tiring" Syl said as he sat down in a chair. Moments later, his eyes were closed and Syl was fast asleep.
The alarm clock rang as Garrett rolled off the bed. "I'm awake!" he yelled as he bolted upright from the ground.
He took a look around and noticed Syl sleeping in a chair. What he didn't notice though, was that a cracked egg shell was sitting on the floor. The contents inside empty. "Hey Syl?" he asked as he shook Syl awake. "Why is there an egg shell on my floor?"
Syl shrugged and got up to go to the kitchen. "So what ya wa-" he managed to say befor ehe caught sight of the pancake breakfast by the stove. "I didn't know you cooked pancakes Garrett!'
Garrett rubbed his head, ""Uh Syl, I didn't cook those."
"Then who did?" he asked before he stuffed his face full of pancake's.
A door opened behind Garrett which freaked him out. When he turned around, he saw A silver renamon standing there. "Uh hello." Garrett said dumbstruck.
"Good morning Garrett." the Renamon said as she walked over to the kitchen and grabbed a plate of pancakes as well.
Syl had food falling out of his mouth before he mouthed the words, "Who is she?"
Garrett mouthed back, "I don't know."
The Renamon caught on to the conversation really fast, and stated. "Thanks you two for saving me from Devimon. I owe ya a lot."
Garrett rubbed his head as he remembered what happened. "I thought Devimon took ya?"
The Renamon shook her head, "He did take my Digi-egg, but thanks to Syl, he saved me and you."
Garrett noded his head before he too grabbed a plate. "I say we relax today."
The group nodded and after they were done eating, they watched T.V.
"Welcome to the team Reora." Garrett stated bluntly.
With a bright smile she replied, "Thanks for having me here."

((After the Labriynth(SP))
The sound of a click echoed around the empty room as the doors bolt unlocked. The group that lived here seemed to be returning from their adventure to the Labriynth. "Well we're home guys." Garrett said in a sarcastic tone, he couldn't tell if this was still his home or not.
The light flicked on and to Garrett's surprise, the room seemed to feel open. He stepped inside with Reora in his arms and went over to the bed to set her down. She seemed to gain her color back as her time of rest extended. Syl on the other hand, shifted through the cabinets in a search for actual food. "Hey Garrett, do we have anything not dried in here?"
Garrett laughed as he walked over to the kitchen. He started to look through the fridge until he found what seemed like spoiled leftovers. Garrett closed the door after he pulled out leftover pasta. "Well this is what we have that isn't dried. Hope it's not spoiled."
Syl didn't care, he just opened up the plastic sealing him from his food. Garrett laughed a bit as he took one look at Reora, who seemed to have rolled over. Strange he thought as he walked toward the shower. It has been a while since he showered last anyways.
The sound of another door closed and rushing water took it's place. Syl finished his left overs, and threw away the bowl, before he retired to the couch to watch TV. Syl clicked on the remote to see that the channel they watched showed movies. "What time is it?" he asked as looked at the clock.
The water shut off and the door opened to reveal Garrett's new attire for the night, a tee shirt and a pair of shorts. He too checked the clock cause he heard the chime go off. Exactly 6 P.M. to Garrett's surprise, but what actual pulled him toward the TV was teh movie that started, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
Garrett jumped over the couch and landed right next to Syl. He wanted to watch this movie as soon as possible, and here it is when he got back.
Silence enveloped the tamer and his digimon as this movie took full swing, though afterwards, they both had a sense of direction, The Glacial Planes.

Garrett stumbled out of the elevator. He would have taken the stairs, yet in his present condition, it would be too much trouble. In his hands, he held loosely onto a bundle. A bundle with with a great weight, a weight of sorrow and depression. Many things were given up and sacrificed for this medicine. "Dammit Syl, I shouldn't have left you out there."
Tears had started to form in his eyes and the burden to carry had increased the mental strain on Garrett's already unstable mind. It didn't stop him from opening the door to his apartment and be greeted with the smell of memories. He had made friends with Syl here, spent many meals with him, and he couldn't bear the suffering. Yet it wasn't all lost, he still had Reora to take care of. We'll go find Syl once once I bring you back and train you some more. he thought as he approached the bed.
Setting the bundle on the floor, he came to kneel beside the comatose Reora. He pulled out what seemed to be a vial. As he removed the stopper the putrid smell it gave off filled the room. It caused his stomach to turn, but with his resolve, he was able to proceed onward.
He pulled out the Balm of Nimulis and put some of it on her forehead. He didn't know exactly how this could help her, and he felt the fumes from the liquid fill the room. HE didn't know how long he would hold out, so he started to apply some Balm of Zahal to her torso and her legs. He put more of the Nimulis on her paws and proceeded to the vial.
He pulled out a sterile needle from the bundle and sucked some liquid into it. He pricked her left shoulder and injected the Hououomon draught into her. Once he removed the needle, he packed things back up and set them on the stand next to her. "Get well soon" he said as he shuffled over to the couch.
He didn't care about his clothing and collapsed onto the couch. He was instantly asleep, the energy of the candy had worn off. His mind wandered, however, and he became frightened by it. e was reliving the last moments of Syl before he had departed.
--------------
Garrett's head shot up as he felt the suns rays hit him. Sweat poured down his body and his breathing was ragged. He never had such a horrible nightmare in his life and this freaked him out.
Eventually he realized that he smelt horrible and decided to take a shower. When the door closed, the water turned on. In ten minutes, the water shut off and Garrett emerged in a pair of jeans. He had no need for any clothing since he is going to be a house wife for a while.
He entered the kitchen and looked at the kitsune toss around. The balm had been working through the night, the effects were a positive, and it brought a smiel to his lips. "Hey Reora! Time to wake up!"
A slight groan escaped her lips and she opened her eyes slowly. She didn't know why, but she had a splitin' headache. When she was able to look around, she saw that she had been laying in Garrett's bed while Garrett was in the kitchen, preparing to cook something. "Why did you wake me" she asked as she stretched her arms.
"Simple," Garrett said as he pulled out a box of grits, "becaus eyou have been passed out for a couple of days."
Reora was flabbergasted by the comment. SHe had a hard time comprehending it and she thought what happened. "Where's Syl?" she asked.
Garrett shook his head. "I'll tell you later..."
Gaijin - November 1, 2011 03:44 AM (GMT)
(In all honesty, this will be the last post I make in this apartment as I plan to relocate to another location. I want his relocation to happen after the time warp but this takes place within the CURRENT plot.)
The ground shook beneath his feet as he stumbled over a pile of rubble. The whole city was engulfed with the sounds of battle. Everywhere he looked, the wounded and dying watched in utter terror as more and more tremors shook the earth. Here he felt like his world was ending, the place he had come to love. The only problem he had lay ahead of him through the city streets. The sounds of battle could still be heard and the closer he got, the more he was on edge.
The endurance he was gifted with as Lobomon kept him going. It kept his mind alert and active, searching for the quickest escape route if he got caught. That escape route would be his life-blood. He didn't want to fight. He only wanted to get home and prepare to leave this accursed city; the place he loved.
As he watched the shifting darkness, the facade of shadows drifting among the buildings, he felt a hint of sorrow. The sorrow that had slowly worked its way up his core, only to flood his passive mind. Adrenaline had taken hold and he started to sprint for the closest place of cover.
He dove into the darkness as he heard the sounds of battle near. Not long after, the silver Kyubimon he had sought out after they split up, was prolonged in a bloody struggle. She had only been evading, taking minor scraps to non-vital parts of the body. When she neared the building, she could feel another presence. A presence that only a digimon could feel when partnered with a tamer. It was her tamer.
She decided to bound backwards and made her way to the location where he was. She kept a steady distance in the process as the digimon charged after her. When she neared him, she jumped, tucked into a ball, and landed right beside him.
He instantly knew what he needed to do and as the digimon who gave chase rounded the corner, he had already pierced him with his blade. He, who was pure of heart, murdered the killer. The one who sought her head as a trophy.
As the digimon slumped to the ground, He put away his weapon and turned to face her. He put a hand on her head and scratched between the ears. "I'm glad your safe," he said.
"Safe because of you. You were the only reason I could have gotten away," she replied with a lick to his cheek.
He stood up and smiled, making sure she could feel the love of having someone by his side. "Shall we find our apartment? I'm afraid we are going to have to move out Reora."
Reora chuckled and nudged his shoulder. She could feel why he wanted to do this, why he wanted to change location. He didn't want to witness the rise of evil. "We shall. Now lead the way, Garrett."
They both traveled in the same direction while Garrett held the lead. They stayed vigilant, and watched for more signs of incoming battle. They even mourned some of the fallen and witnessed as their final moments, their memories, dispersed in the form of digital particles.
They persevered through the smoke, the fire, the rubble, and many skirmishes. Soon, they had managed to make their way to the intact apartment building. They bolted up the stairs, as the elevator didn't work, and kicked down their door.
"Grab the necessities. We will be traveling for a good while after we leave here."
Reora went off into the back room and picked up a giant cargo pack. She brought it out to the main room, where she dropped it. Her next move went to the kitchen. She found cans in the pantry and pulled them out with her tails. She tossed them into the main room before she pulled out a few pots and a basket of silverware. She place those in the main room before she started to search for the cleaning supplies.
Garrett had already packed up most of his prizes. He followed that with two bedrolls that he had stashed under his bed and a small tent with tarp. He placed these to the side as he picked up the pans and placed them in the bag. Next, came the cans of food with the silverware in tow. He managed to find the cleaning supplies mixed in with the toiletries and placed those near the bottom.
The sounds of battled could be heard on the floors below and all he heard Reora say was, "Lets go. Now!" Before she bolted out the door.
He searched the room and found he had everything he needed. So, he packed the last of the bag with the tarp and bedrolls, before he shouldered the pack. As he took one last look to the world outside, he knew he would never come back to the same place. "Its now or never," he said with regret before pursuing Reora out into the night.
Gaijin - December 21, 2011 04:43 AM (GMT)
((A closing post, just because I can))
The sun enveloped the room in a golden hue. Broken glass could be seen around the floor, many possessions destroyed, and things that held cherished memories. There was no love in this situation. All was dark, alone, and left to rot. Yet even life could find a place in such an area. For a new day has arisen, and the world was every free to return to normal. Not this place, for it shall be a burial mound. A mound to state that one who lived here got the hell out of Dodge, and Dodge didn't follow.
