A light and beautiful song wafted through the scant, skeletal trees that dotted the scorched ground bordering part of the graveyard. An Angewomon known to her friends and partners as Vanguard shaped the words, seeking to sooth the turmoil within with that action. Her wings were drawn rather close over her skintight white outfit, a feathery pink scarf trailing from her shoulders, joined by her long blond hair.

Beautiful A pair of golden ears twitched as Bishop listened to the song, the gold and white bipedal fox of the Renamon species followed closely at Vanguard's side, half a step ahead. The angel wasn't just putting herself at ease, and Bishop almost felt that whatever else happened, just hearing this would have made it all worth it.

"I borrowed some money from Kyra," Bishop explained in quiet tones, not wanting to interrupt Vanguard's song. The two walked alone to the edge of the graveyard, intending to catch a Trailmon out of the area. The Renamon smiled, looking up at Vanguard with icy blue eyes. "Just relax and enjoy the ride," he said with a wink. "I know I plan to."

The angel smiled in return, and as they embarked on the Trailmon, feeling enough at ease to lapse from her chanting. The two had a date in the city, a day off from the rigors they normally endured, even if the reprieve would only be temporary...
