Locke Williams

Age: 17
Gender: Male
Nationality: Canadian (Caucasian)

D-Ban Colours: Black & White
Method of Evolution: Blue Card
Money: 4,750

History: The boy’s birth was completely unintentional, but both parents had decided against abortion, so nine months later, Locke was born. It wasn’t because they didn’t want a child, but more upon the lines that they were too busy to take care of one themselves. Yet they had chosen to keep the child. Even after he was born.

Being born an only child into an upper middle class family, Locke lived a better life than most. With his mother and father having important jobs such as a lawyer and a doctor respectively, he was often spoiled to a point where he practically got whatever he wanted without question. Though that was mainly due to the fact that his parents were too involved into their jobs so they felt that they had to buy things to keep him entertained. Despite that though, he felt bored with everything that his parents had got him given enough time.

Though it wasn’t like it was just what they got him or anything, because even in school he found life quite boring. Everything about life, though unpredictable at times, seemed so plain and simple to him. People especially annoyed him, which was why he spent most of his time as an outcast. He found them all to be annoying and dreary, including his own parents. Who were too busy to actually notice that their only son had isolated himself from the rest of the world.

With the use of books and music, he had drowned the world out to the best of his abilities. Truth was, he hated the world that he lived in. Thanks to his parent’s jobs, he found it quite a corrupt place to be in after hearing stories of innocents being hurt or sent away, while those that were guilty walked away freely. He hated it. And that was why he kept his distance from the world.

As time went on, the boy only seemed to become more and more reserved. To a point where in junior high, he would spend the majority of his time locked up in his room just so he could escape reality as a whole. And high school was no different. Everyday he would wish that he could just be out of the forsaken world that he found himself in.

And then one day, his wish appeared to be heard and he found himself in an entirely new world. Though new in the world, he found that it wasn’t as corrupted as his own since it wasn’t completely overrun by humans, which he was happy to be free from.

Inventory:

Clover of Four Leaves
This nifty little green item resembles a Four-leaf Clover. It can attach itself painlessly to any surface on which it is stuck, including tamers and Digimon. Once per battle the person who wears this item will find one of their opponent's attacks miraculously deflected, blocked, or negated by a seemingly random event such as a sudden gust of wind, a stop sign popping out of the ground, or anything else the user finds humorous. Since this item is so small, it may easily be lost, but the owner will always find it in the last place they look.

Brownies of Hope
Ten small brownies that tend to change shape to look like things or people that a tamer and their partners holds dear, which can include themselves, their loved ones, etc. Once eaten, these brownies fill the eater with a life-giving warmth, negating any powers related to mind-control or changing emotion for 2 turns and giving the affected tamer or Digimon 50% of their health back. Effects do not stack while under the first effect of the brownies (Which means they only work on one particular person every two turns)

Cards

QUOTE (Common (5))
Name: Digiruption
Number: C06
Type: Single Target
Duration: 1 turn
Effect: The user’s Digimon can attack using an explosion of lava, similar to that of a volcano, worth 25 points of damage. The attack is only usable once.

Name: Flame Burst
Number: C11
Type: Single Target
Duration: N/A
Effect: The user’s Digimon shoots a small fireball which causes 10 points of damage. The effect must be used as soon as the card is swiped and can only be used once.

Name: Trigger
Number: C37
Type: Single Target
Duration: N/A
Effect: Forces the targeted opponent to attack the instant this card is swiped.

Name: Twilight Timer
Number: C39
Type: Single Target
Duration: 1 Turn
Effect: Completely immobilises one opponent Digimon for a single turn.

Name: Underworld Fruit
Number: C40
Type: Single Target
Duration: Three Turns
Effect: Gradually restores 100% of the health of a Virus-type Digimon over the course of three turns, or instantly restores 50% of the health of a Data-type Digimon partnered with a Dark Tamer.

QUOTE (Uncommon (1))
Name: Unexpected Seduction
Number: U37
Type: Single Target
Duration: 3 Turns
Effect: Usable only in battles between two Digimon of opposite genders. The opponent's Digimon becomes infatuated with yours, and will refuse to attack him/her.

QUOTE (Rare (1))
Name: Bond of Friendship
Number: R28
Type: Multi-Target
Duration: Remainder of the battle
Effect: User chooses any number between ten and their Digimon’s maximum health. The Digimon then loses that number of health points, and the partner of his/her friend receives a boost in attack strength, endurance and speed by the percentage of the number of health points lost (e.g. if a Digimon gave up 30 points of health, its ally’s strength, endurance and speed would increase by 30% each). The user’s Digimon cannot sacrifice an amount of energy that would bring it to ten health points or less, however.

QUOTE (Promotional (2))
Name: Luck o’ the Irish
Number: P56
Type: Single Target
Duration: Four OR Five Turns
Effect: A gold coin appears in the affected Digimon’s hand, and may be flipped or tossed at any point during the current battle. If it comes up heads, the affected Digimon’s attack power, physical strength, speed, agility and defence are doubled for four turns, and 50% of its total health is restored. If it comes up tails, 100% of the affected Digimon’s total health is restored, and it acquires 10% bonuses in attack power, speed and defence and an Irish accent for five turns. (IRL, a moderator must flip a coin to decide the outcome.)

Name: Life-Sustaining Spell
Number: P85
Type: Single-Target
Duration: Until the extra health is used/Until appropriate amount of damage is taken
Effect: An ancient rite that preserved a person's life and prolonged their death has now been sealed into this card. When activated, target tamer or Digimon gains 50% of their maximum health (the amount if they were at full health, not their total when the card is activated.) as temporary hit points and an aura of protection around them that can block 2 attacks at their level or below or just one attack from a Digimon of a higher level (always only blocks one attack for tamers). While the effect heals the target, it is not a part of their actual health and therefore they will still be as exausted/damaged as they were before. Note that the increase stays the same regardless of whether the target devolves/evolves afterwards.
