Paul was still floating trough the portal. He was lost deep in thoughts.
"Great. I'm being transported to a new world and the hysteria is making me state the obvious. Now, this is one of those adventures where I either stay in that world till I complete my mission or just plain stay there. Great. I wonder where I'll stay for most of the time."
At that time, light engulfed him again. When the light disappeared, he was flying towards a building.
"Just my luck. COMING TROUGH!" He shouted.
He crashed trough a window and landed on a bed where he was knocked out.
A few minutes later, he woke up, surprisingly healed. As he got up, a huge egg rolled on his legs.
"That egg appeared while my men where fixing the damage you caused. Poor thing." A voice said.
He turned to where the voice came from and found a rock creature.
"So I've landed in a village populated by rock creatures. Listen. I'll-"
"You're not the first one, kid. Many others like you have been popping up left and right. That's why this place was built. Welcome to the digital world."
He looked outside and saw many different creatures from Red dinosaurs to wolf like creatures. Some of them where following kids with the same kind of band he has.
"Those creatures you see are called Digimons. They come in many different shapes and sizes. Like that one there is called...Well, you'll find all of this out with that thing you have on your wrist." The creature said.
"You mean this?" He asked.
He brought it up and the D-ban and saw that the left button was flashing. He pressed it and an image of the Digimon appeared. The machine then spoke.
"Gotsumon. Child level. This Digimon is made of hard ore and choot rocks from it's head with Angry rock"
"That thing can read us like a book" It said with a smug look. But the machine wasn't done talking.
"This Digimon, known for its mischievous and cheerful personality, is also known for its selfishness and raging temper equal to that of an erupting volcano. "
"WHAT DID THAT THING SAY ABOUT ME?! MADCAP!" He flew towards Paul in rage.
"Woah. Wait a sec... It's not like I can control what it says." He said while dodging the blows but Gotsumon kept on attacking. After a hit he had it. "STOP!" He punched Gotsumon in the face.
Surprisingly, that punch sent him flying towards the wall. It also seemed to calm him down.
"So you can also use the digisoul." He said.
"Digisoul?" He asked. He looked at his hand. It looked as if yellow flame was erupting from it. That same flame also seemed to have an effect on the egg as it started shaking.
"I see. So you're going to be its tamer." He said.
"Tamer?" Paul asked.
"That flame you have there is called a digisoul. Only Digimon tamers can use it and can affect you Digimon only trough your D-ban. You will need to make your Digimon evolve."
"Evolve?" Paul asked again.
"Yes. We digimon go trough stages in our life called evolution. As you can see, I'm a child Digimon. If we're lucky enough, we can move on to adult, Perfect and, for the extremely lucky ones, Ultimate. Although, if we receive mortal damage, we go back to a Digitama. That egg of yours is you Digimon in its Digitama. Normally, it would go into its baby 1 stage then its baby 2 stage. I've heard of special types of evolution stages."
Paul looked at his hand and at his D-ban. He touched both and the egg started to crack and glow. He approached it and a small yellow creature appeared. It looked at Paul and started bouncing joyfully. He then pressed the button.
"Pokomon. An illusion Digimon who only acts on moonlit nights. It will grow into a heartening Digimon according to the way the tamer raises it. Its special technique is to turn into a stone and release a poison gas."
"Sure. Give it all the the compliments." Gotsumon said.
Paul gave gotsumon a cold stare. Pokomon seemed to sense anger in her tamer and started growling at Gotsumon who then fled. She then jumped in his arms and they both left.
