Age: Really unkown, it never gives his age as far as I know.
Gender: Male

Description

Physical:



Hojo is hardly ever seen outside of his school uniform, which is primarily black. He ussually has a smile on his face and looks rather naive and is rather naive. Looks don't decive with this one. His hair is brown and is worn short, and he has an overall clean appearance. There are quite a few that think him to be handsome, and his is quite a popular person.

Mental:

Hojo is portrayed as a sweet, albeit naïve young man who completely believes Kagome's grandfather's false explanations that she misses school due to her many "strange illnesses". As a result, he often brings Kagome items from his family's store, such as therapeutic sandals or seat cushions to help her feel better. He also helps Kagome with her studies; in Episode 89, "Visitation Showdown Between 'That Guy' & 'Him'", Kagome prevailed upon the visiting Hōjō to teach her everything she had missed in her math course in her efforts to pass a major impending exam. She begged him to do so because he had already taken that course, which indicates that Hōjō is either older than Kagome and her friends, or that he is in a more advanced course of study.

History:

Hōjō is a classmate of Kagome. Apparently he is the smartest student in Kagome's school, which combined with his looks results in many younger girls lusting after him. He likes Kagome and often tries to date her. Yuka, Eri and Ayumi have often conspired towards this end, firmly believing that Hōjō is the most eligible boy in school, and far better for Kagome than her 'two-timing & violent', Inuyasha.

Early in the series, Kagome decides to go on a date with Hōjō after a dispute with Inuyasha. However, she is so concerned about wounds that Inuyasha sustained earlier that she ends the date early and returns to the Sengoku Jidai (Waring States Era) to check on him. Kagome tried to give Hōjō a chance early in the series, but by Episode 48, "I Want to go Back to Where We Met", Kagome has realized that she loves Inuyasha and begins to resist her friends' urgings to date Hōjō.

Hojo sat back in his seat, today's lesson was rather uninteresting. Yet another review of algebriac equations...he had covered these things years ago, why was it that in an advanced math class, they always covered the same things that were done a few years prior. Yet, he still payed just as much attention as he did then, what kind of honor student would he be if he didn't?

Noticing the bell ring, Hojo gathered up his things and stood, about to walk to the door when he noticed Kagome's desk was empty yet again. She was missing again, but her grandfather had said that she was simply sick, and he left it at that. It wouldn't be nice to pry as to the source of the illness, or why it occured so often, but if they would just let him help, Hojo was sure he could come up with a remedy.

While Hojo's skills in herbal remedies were quite admirable, he never really got to use them. When he did however, he was more than happy to have helped. Sighing, Hojo made his way towards the door, prepared to move on to the next class. This was the way he spent his days, calm and peaceful, almost like a polar oppisite of what Kagome did. However, Hojo doesn't know what Kagome does, and may never know...
