Description of Character: (Gawd that looks like the longest desc I've ever written. XD)
Name: Eva Andine Lilia Alon
Nicknames: -
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Race: Human/Shifter
Religion: Neutral
Occupation/Position Queen of Desamarai
Element: Fire
Song: Appearance: Standing at 5’3 she is rather short for a woman of her lineage, although it is rumoured that her mother had a streak of wild dryadic blood in her and was also below average height, though not so much as her daughter.
Her features appear almost wild and fey with high cheekbones and a slight upturning at the corner of her eyes, which are a startling yellow-green and said to burn with their own light. Her skin would be of a light tan color though is strikingly pale due to pure lack of sunlight, her complexion smooth and unblemished, though she does however burn easily under the sun.
Eva possessed a wealth of dark reddish-brown curls, almost black in any light except the sun which hangs halfway down her back, typically styled and arranged to whichever takes her fancy or is suggested by her maids, often held up with rich colourful ribbon or entangled with a thin gold chain.
Overall her figure is curvy, not overly slender but not enough to be called plump either, her health is considered a fragile disposition and so longer bursts of exertion are impossible for her.
With a sweet face, pointed chin and rather angular fey features she seems almost inhuman.
She has several scars on her left palm that have healed well and two piercings in each ear, both in the lobe.
Clothing: Eva generally wears the best tailored outfits money can buy of rich silks and velvets, although she prefers less of the lace and embroidery if she can avoid it, as on top of the bulky dresses it hampers her moveability.
If she can get away with it, she likes to wear simple pants to the knee and a loose shirt when not under the public eye, though this is rare as her handmaids disapprove.
She’s not particularly interested in clothes past the fact of their function, though she does have to pay attention to what she chooses knowing that her fate recently took a startling change of direction placing her under the eye of the people.
Weaponry and Armour: If called to battle, as a queen she would be at an advantage to wear the best armor tailored to her figure, however she is incapable of wielding weaponry. Her armor of battle is not so much ‘armor’ as a long floor-length robe with many runes woven into the fabric and charmed so that it is hard to try and read them all as they shift and move staying our of focus. Overlaid on this is a very light hide armor around the chest of the same design as the robes, with a stout cloak to keep the weather off slung around the shoulders and fastened with a simple yet graceful brooch bearing the family crest.
She ‘can’ fight hand to hand and can be a formidable opponent, though she relies on her defensive magics to keep the enemy at bay as in close combat she tires easily and could be overwhelmed.
Magic: Eva spent most of her time after the death of her family studying the arts of healing in a vain attempt to bring them back, though as she grew into an adult she realized how futile her aim was, yet did not stop her study and is now one of the most advanced healers close to hand after years of diligent study.
She is capable with using her element although prefers not to use it for anything more than defensive action or mundane tasks, though raw emotion can often get the better of her.
Coupled with her hand-to-hand combat training, at close quarters she becomes a formidable opponent even if she does tire quickly, for she weaves her energies into each blow and could disrupt nerves and organs with as much ease as she can heal them.
Eva ‘can’ shapeshift, but it takes a ‘lot’ of energy for her to do so as she never took a real interest in the art her mother was so fond of once her family had suffered it’s ill.
For Eva, shapeshifting is a last resort and even then is tied in with her element.
Personality: Above all things she hates lying, and her greatest asset at winning both friends, enemies and the hearts of the people is that she is unable to lie, and often lets her true emotions show through. She is noted for a blazing temper on a short rope, as well as a thoughtful carefulness around matters of state. Her front to those who would see her simply as the ruler, is that of ‘justice.’ It may not necessarily feel the right thing to do but as ruler she must try to please everyone, an impossible goal but one to strive for. In this case she may not always agree with her own decisions and for that has been noted also as ‘As fickle as Lady Luck’. There are many suggestions and guesses at which god she worships but she has yet to openly state her beliefs either way and so remains neutral.
Behind closed doors however she is weary and depressed, always locking herself away in her study, or browsing through the libraries in search of one way to become the most powerful healer in bringing back the dead, without resorting to necromancy.
She holds a dark dedication to find out the truth to her families near destruction.
Strengths: Manipulating people – She is easily loved as with an open heart she listens to the people’s needs, and at the same time easily makes enemies when she disagrees with them. Though she is fairly short in stature, her presence seems to make it so that she can look down on others around her.
Lore – Spending so much time studying both the affairs of state and her own arts, she has learned much about her own lands and their history, as well as the history of the people.
Lies – She can detect on a fairly easy note when others are lying. There doesn’t seem to be anyone who has yet been able to pass one by her, and she does this simply by ‘reading’ the people in front of her, via body language.
Judgment – She always tries her best to give a fair judgement when matters of state are bought to her, and usually comes out top, although the method is not always approved by the masses.
Act – Often to cover her intelligence she acts out the part of an empty-headed youth put to the throne too early, and interested in nothing but suitors, horses and fine clothing. She’s rather good at it when she puts her mind to it.
Weaknesses: Physical – She was always a sickly child from when she was very young, having problems of the heart and though she does not suffer nearly so badly from it at present it can still make life rather difficult.
Paranoia – After the death of her family she became extremely paranoid and will not allow strangers close to her without her escort close at hand, being followed by 4-6 guards at any one time inside the palace.
Naďveté – She lacks the street smarts of the outside world and although she’s ready about it before it’s not quite the same as it is written down. She doesn’t try to know everything but she’s incredibly naive about what it’s really like.
Xenophobic – Speaks for itself really. She especially dislikes going places she is unfamiliar with. After all, she’s human.
Emotion/Element – Both a strength of emotion winning people over, and a weakness in the fact that wild emotions can cause her to lose control of her element which she is not highly trained with. She is unsure of what her elemental capabilites are and is always pushing them but often loses control of it and ends up regretting it later.
Sugar – Possibly a weakness in the sense that sugar makes her drowsy, inducing an effect similar to that of being drunk. Probably from her dryadic blood.
Likes: Summer rain, drinking tea, her three companions, reading.
Dislikes: Politics, Heavy dresses and shopping, Mindless noblewomen, the constant press to take a suitor.
Habits: Often when thinking she will let her eyes drift to a half-closed, heavy lidded state, like a cat eying its prey and deciding the best way to devour it.
Date of Birth: November 23rd
Family: (Possibly others outside of living in the castle linked to mothers family)
Mother: Rei Artasor Alon (unknown – presumed dead)

Younger brother: Emkelhat Perromer Alon(deceased – suffocated by mother)
Older brother: Taigarris Deltherren Laemad Alon(deceased – severed vertebrae due to incision of knife by mother)
Older sister: Leniss Rosamtai Alon (deceased – sliced windpipe by mother)
History: (To be brief)
Eva was raised in the palace under a tutor for many of her years as a child, she was never particularly close to her father or elder brother, as both of them had their eyes constantly set on the fate of the kingdom, her brother being the one supposed to inherit the throne after her father passed. She was closer to her mother of all, her older sister often pursuing the young noblemen and breaking hearts in the courts while finding a suitor.
Eva had always taken a sort of comfort in the fact that she would not have to deal with everyone’s high expectations of her inheriting the throne, as she was already very weak to begin with and constantly had a healer by her side.
Though she was very young when she witnessed the incident that tore her family asunder she was also very attached the people involved and refuses to believe that they could be so cruel to do such a thing, although in later life she has begun to doubt this, a niggling fear that eats at her insides.
Her mother became quite attached to a court bard who would serenade them with private recitations, and tell them wondrous tales, enchanting the family. She too was completely taken with him and was not the only one when it was said her mother went mad and eloped with him after murdering the closest members of the royal family.
Truth be told this bard had charmed the Queen in vengeance for a wrongful sentence on his own family who had been seen as traitors to the family of Alon and imprisoned before finally facing execution. The bard was the last remaining member of this line, and wished to exact his vengeance on them for their judgement over the forged evidence presented.
In drawing himself closer to the family he had learned the womans song and used her to murder her own loved ones, although he had mistakenly overlooked the young girl when he finally lost control of the queen, who maddened by her own grief attacked him in full view of her daughter.
Servants as well as the family, not quite believing what they had seen lay around the room in their own pooling blood, their lives ebbing away as the struggle persisted, finally the bard placing a compulsion on the woman that she could not kill herself but would have to endure the pain of being the cause of the loss of her loved ones. To Eva’s eyes, their struggle took them away from sight, and she had heard afterwards that the guards had been able to find no trace of either of them but a few patches of blood from open wounds in the struggle.
After the grief had passed a reagent was assigned the task of ruling for the child until she was old enough to take the position herself, although by this time she had immersed herself completely in her studies in order to bury the grief.
Eva is not sure what to believe, why her mother would kill her family and run away with a foreign man, though her early memories are hazy and she yet now doubts whether it was as they had said. It did not seem like her to give up her royal position and everything she had, to run away with a minstrel, albeit a puffed up, noble minstrel.
As of then her fears and paranoia have grown as she shuts herself away in the palace, only appearing when she has to, and rarely leaving for anything but duty.

The rain sifted down in a thick sheet, as it had done for most of the day. She sat facing the little balcony, the wide window-like doors thrown open, watching the rain. A book, thick and yellowed with age nestled in the soft velvet skirts, a rich brown colors slashed with cream, tiny pearls sewn onto the bodice, and a ribbon to match, though dangling from her fingers, one arm delicately draped over the edge of the carved mahogany chair she reclined in. Her face was tilted upwards, listening to the music the raindrops made, dark curls tumbling from around her face to fall suspended above the thick carpeting.
Three hairy beats lay around her feet, dogs, one small with a light fluffy coat, two large, one black and curled into himself, the other sleek with fur like silver, head cocked on one side as he listened to the pacing guards outside the room.
She could have been dead if not for the slight flutter of her breast and the twitch of her fingers, nestled in the pages of the old tome in her lap. Shadows clung beneath her eyes from exhaustion, but a small smile tickled her lips.
The simplest pleasures in life, are often the best.
