yes this is the most common subject for serious chats. now before we get into detail I am going to set some rules for this subject.

1) NO trying to get other people to share your beliefs
2) no bashing people because of their belieifs
3) follow all forum rules

now to start this off.

I am agnostic. I am not sure which kind of agnostic as of yet but i am not sure if there is a god or not. i do believe however, that there is a higher being amoung us. I also look at the bible as a novel that was taklen too literally. but that doesn't mean there is no god. there might be but who knows?

With so many religions it is hard to desicde what you believe and what you SHOULD believe. I can't answer any of those questions personally.

Now what do you guys think?

Well I'm Byzantine Catholic. I find nothing wrong with me being Catholic and I'm proud of it. ^^

And yes, I do believe there is a God. We're all of God's children sent by him. We're all of different ranks. I do ponder where I would go when I die. To live among the stars in Heaven and see the people I once knew before in my life.

I'm an Agnostic and am overall convinced any earthly religion is false. I think if there is creator it's not one we know on Earth, though anything is possible. Christianity can so easily be proven false. It's own book, the Bible, hurts it. I could go on, but I've been over it so many times it's become absolutely redundant.

For one. God couldn't be gay, he can't be straight. A gender would mean he has reproductive organs. Reproductive organs means he can have sex and have offspring. Which is impossible because he has no one to naturally reproduce with (as in another God, and before you use the point he impregnated Mary, remember she was born a virgin, so God didn't do it sexually, also if he had sexual organs, naturally it wouldn't be to use it on humans, for that was would beastiality, same thing if you screwed a donkey, it wasn't meant like that naturally) If this God exists, I believe he's naturally asexual but can be what he want, because it's well "God" and they say He because I think he was made by sexist men. When it comesright down to it, this complete contradiction on nature proves your God is imaginary.

Also.your God is horribly sexist. Which proves further it isn't female.

(realise no such covenant exists for women)

In John 20:17 Jesus says to Mary: "Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father," as though the touch of a woman is somehow improper, but a few verses later, is happy to have Thomas touch him.

In Matthew 25:1 Jesus says: "At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom."

In Genesis chapter 3, God punishes Eve, and all women for thousands of years, with greatly increased pain during childbirth. No such pain is inflicted on Adam even if he too ate the apple knowing it ewas forbidden.

In Ephesians 5:22-24 we find this: "Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything."

In 1 Peter 3:7 we find: "Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers."

In 1 John 2:13, John says, "I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, dear children, because you have known the Father." No mention is made of women.

And so on. There are many, many examples like these throughout the old and new testaments. You notice your God doesn't love everyone. He wants nothing to do with females it seems.

According to that quote, you are not equal in Jesus' eyes. Jesus turned the woman away for she was black, he would not bless "his childrens' dogs". Remember Jesus = God = Perfect. Apparently you are inferior, of course, racism is a horrible thing, and no truly perfect God would treat His/It's people so poorly and unjustly, so slanted. So one can assume God is imaginary.

O_O Well I'm not sure now what I meant "different ranks"...(Sorry people I was blocked from this and couldn't get back on and now I have...) Please don't be upset at me. ;_; And to who said that, God cannot be gay and by different ranks by black, gay, straight, no that is not what I meant and for the fact that I haven't been on this in weeks, I don't remember what I meant...But does anyone believe here that God sent all fo us on a mission to Earth to accomplish something?
