a restaurant that doesn't try to do anything except serve great food with great service in a pleasant atmosphere. no gimmicks here -- the food speaks for itself in its freshness and preparation. the dining room is quietly elegant with no music to shout over -- how refreshing! the service was impeccable and unobtrusive -- the staff knows what they are there to do -- to know their menu, present your meal, and attend to your needs.

american girl place
it's usually extremely crowded, but this doll store is every little girl's fantasy. with four floors full of stuff for these adorable little dolls, you can buy a doll and take it to the photo studio, the hospital, the hair salon and to the in-store cafe. just make sure you bring your credit card. these little dolls don't come cheap.

barnes & nobles booksellers lincoln center
this is not your average barnes & nobles. this one happens to be extremely large with more than one floor. it has a large room for reading and coffee that sort of resembles a singles scene (minus the alcohol). in the coffee shop, they sell starbucks. it's a great place to spend your time perusing for books and just spending the day reading.

ray's pizza
hands down, this place has the best pizza in the entire city. there's quite a few locations over the span of manhattan. slices are huge, but the prices are good.

soutine is a charming shop. it's easy to spot with a red, vintage ice cream cart stationed in front of it. their selections of pastries are the best in town with new pastries being introduced every season. the owner often comes to greet customers. they even offer soup, picnic lunches, made-to-order pot pies, freshly baked bread and amazing tart pies.

times square and broadway
broadway, as its name implies, is a big, wide avenue that runs the entire length of manhattan island in new york city. it passes through the middle of the theater district concentrated around times square and has lent its name to those spectacular musical productions known as the broadway play.

the manhattan mall
no doubt, the manhattan mall is like your average mall, crowded and busy with shoppers on a daily basis. this mall has three floors. the first floor has the local stores, mostly. the top floor mostly has name brand like dolce & gabbanna or chanel.
