Capital punishment is when someone is put to death by the law for murdering another human being.

To me, capital punishment just seems like the "easy way out" for someone who has gotten away with a murder and/or murders. The best solution for these people would defininetely be life in prison with no parole. that way, it will give them a chance to reflect about the sins they committed and hopefully, they can repent.

Honestly, we are not proving ourselves to be the bigger man or woman when we sentence another human to death. Of course, the defendant had no right to kill someone else in the first place but still, we need to reconize that the defendant has a human diginity that needs to be respected as well.

I also understand that the families of murdered victims prefer the death penalty mainly because it can help them find closure for what has happened. But my way of looking at it is that we should understand the view-points of both the victims families AND the defendants family as well as the defendent. This goes to show that we must respect the rights and liberties of everybody on this planet. Then of course, I'm a very neutral person when it comes down to particular situations.

Right now, that's pretty much all I have to say on the issue.

which is all good and fine...but it gets exceptionally difficult if you were to think of yourself in that type of position. to lose someone close to you and watch the killer get away with it is just plain avoidance of justice also.

To be honest im more for turning prisons into absolute hell holes and then giving out strick life sentences now. And by life i mean life, none of this parole nonsence. killers dont deserve a quick end to their suffering, they should be forced to linger in as hell on earth as we can make it for them. Thats proper punishment

considering the fact that there is no other form of severe punishment after this life...the only justice must be had during life. And if the killer must spend life in prison, then life in prison shall be the only life the criminal sees. hence, no prolonging the efforts of allowing the proven guilty to escape.

Indeed mate but the prison system must be changed too. All this crap of TVs, sport, internet, training, this scum deserves none of that thats not punishment. The most a criminal should have is clean food and water and thats so they're alive long enough to serve fair penitence
