Do not control another person’s character UNLESS you have their permission, which I do know some people do. Just let us know at the beginning or end of your post that you’ve been given permission to power-play someone. 2-Post Length. Don’t make two paragraph posts. At the very least I want three paragraphs to a post, and make them decent sized. If you don’t know your character well enough to get that much out you should put some thought into it. This is an intermediate-advanced site, and if you cannot stick to that your going to lose your character. Sorry. 3-Third Person. Please make your posts be in third person, NOT first. I know it‘s silly, but I‘m slightly OCD about this. Please just humor me. (ex. Third person-- “Jane kicked Jack in the butt, and watched him roll down the hill.” First person-- “I don‘t believe Jane kicked me in the butt!!”) 4. OOC and IC. PLEASE oh dear gawd, I beg of you. Keep all OOC in [brackets] or in the OOC areas. Do not bring excess amount in IC. Got something to say to your rp partner, PM them! Also, no net speak. I will eat you. 4.A. Courtesy. - I don’t care who did what to who. I know there are some people out in cyberspace that don’t get along, I myself have a few people I don’t like in the RP circuit. But PLEASE just leave your drama in the real world. I don’t care if you hate someone who plays on this site, just be nice to them. If you pretend someone is your best friend for long enough you actually start to like each other. 5- Grammar. If you must type up your posts in Microsoft Word. Get something that has a spellcheck. No netspeak! Use propper grammar. Please and Thank you! II. APPLICATION 1- Patience. Please be patient about getting your application accepted. We will go as fast as we can, but the Jess’s have a life outside the internet. Don’t pester us about looking at your application. That will probably only get you banned. I promise we will get to it as soon as we can. 2- Detail is Love. Put effort into your application. This is the thing that any competitions for your character will be based off. Don’t just rush though. Get to know your character a bit while you work on it. 3-Competitive Application System. One thing we are invoking here, that some of you may have come across before, is a competitive app system. This ensures that the best player gets the character no matter what. The judges will be the staff. Please don’t be offended and get angry if this happens to you. This is only incentive to play the character to the best of your ability. Don’t slack in your posts, don’t get too far from what is cannon. 3. A - You can only compete for cannon characters that aren’t played by a staff member. Staff members characters are the only ones that are set in stone. Don’t even try to take one of them away. There is a board under the Application and Cannon List form for you to put these applications in. You use the same template as anyone else. If you lose your character, you can try for another one. Be aware that these applications may take a bit longer to process. III. Graphics 1. NO NUDITY! Please, while we have a rating on the site; I don't want it leaking into the graphics. Keep clothes on and appendages away. Thank you. 2. Size Matters No larger then 400x260 please. Anything too big will be removed until re-sized properly. I don't want things stretched and pulled and ik-a-fied upon the site. IV. Ratings 1. We are pretty much rated 'R'. We're mature people here. Or at least... we can handle graphic things. Haha. Be curtious and mark your threads [XXX] if sexual relations occur so people who don't want to read it, don't have to. Excessive cussing should be marked [X] just to protect delicate people. xD V.Accounts/Registering 1. ONE. account per character. Even twins, twins must be played by two seperate people; I don't want to see tons of characters on one account. 2. Name REGISTER with your character's first and last name in lower case please, we wanna make this place all neat and awesome looking. lower case is funner. IF you forget, please contact an admin to change your name. we won't be happy about it, but we'll do it. 3. One canon per person please. Unless you can play two really well and keep them active, please contact an admin before applying for a second though. Staff are allowed to apply for two, but only if we have tons of members and one hasn't been tried for in like ever, or never tried for. People like sites where they can take up canons, more open canons draw people in. VI. Advertising 1. NO advertising in your signature. Please, keep it just to your character's siggeh. I don't like having flashy little banners in that area on the IC boards. 2. PLEASE dear god, please advertise us. The more members we have, the more fun it'll be around here. And there may be contests later to win different things. Life Advertiser of the month; if we get enough players. Or a siggeh and avatar set. Or a nifty title. Or something else we cook up. Maybe even staff position or something. My better half and I will discuss it later. RULES are subject to change at any time. Please check back for updates/alterations.
