Six months ago, a revolution of sorts came upon Italy. Vampires from all over sided with the newly formed alliance; the Cullens, and the Romanians. They all realized, at last, that what the two most ancient of vampires were saying was true. So long as the Volturi ruled, they would all live in needless fear. The promise of a world where vampires would not be ridiculed for sparing the lives of humans was just the bright future that many had been waiting for.

Thus, countless nomads, small covens jumped on the Romanian bandwagen. With the aid of Isabella Cullen, the Volturi were overthrown. Most of their “Loyal guard” turned out to be mothing more than cowards, siding with whoever had the most power. Some joined with the Romanians; some were killed; some still follow after the three Volturi leaders, unable to shake the job they had fulfilled for so long.

The three once powerful ancients were spared, as the Romanian leaders wanted them to exist in the same ruin that had been left for them. Vladimir and Stefan wanted nothing more than to force the three men that had slaughtered their family to watch while their world was burned. Powerless, the three ancients still reside in Volterra, a city now guarded by the same vampires that had once protected them.

the plot

Tainted... currupt... horrifying... These are all things vampires used to associate with Italy, or at least they'd keep this negative opinion to themselves in fewar of being killed. Life used to be a matter of fear, fear of being punished for something by the men that called themselves rulers. Many of the laws written were inforced with conciquentces of death to the one that broke them. It struck realization in to the hearts omany vampires; they had to be careful on how they lived their life. While it was looked down upon for eating 'vegitarian' style, those that drank the blood of humans had to be careful; not over do it soon.

The feud between the five ancients is ever brewing. Though effects the world outside very little. As far as the vampiric world is concerned, things have rarely been better. But are things too good to be true? How long can this peace truly last?
