I had my ultrasound last week and found out that we are having a girl (yaaay). I also found out that the placenta is at the bottom of the uterus (placenta previa). I am really scared. Not so much about going through a c-section, but about not having any help afterward. My BF is god's gift in every way - he is perfect, but he can only do so much. His family, whom we moved to Iowa to be near, does not like me. They pretend like they do, but have made it very clear that they are only nice because of the baby. I know that Jon's mom won't come over to help me with my three year old or around the house. Other than Jon's family, I don't know anyone here. Of course all my family in CA has made it very clear that if I was out there everything would be taken care of for me and I wouldn't have a worry in the world. Ugh. Both Jon and I are wishing we had moved to CA instead!
I know there is a possibility of the placenta moving upward before d-day. I'm certainly hoping for that! My last two deliveries were "textbook" with my second son practiacally delivering himself. I could really use a break on this one! -------------------- ~*~ Kris ~*~

I understand the worrying about having help part. EVerything will work out fine one way or another, you'll see! If you have any questions feel free to ask anytime I've had THREE c-sections :-).

Bless your heart (((hugs))) It is no fun having to be worried while you are preganant. Congrats on the baby girl ! :D
I have had 2 babies the regular way and 2 via c-section. My other kids came the easiest as they came as a package deal with my husband LOL If you need to talk just holler. Susan -------------------- Buy Bead Patterns

Thank you for your support! I haven't been getting emails from the threads I post in, which is why it is taking me so long to get over here to read replies. I do have a friend or two now who may be able to watch Max if I have to go through a c-section. Jon will probably try to get the days off that I am in the hospital, so we would only need a sitter for while I was actually delivering.
I have made up my mind that if I have a v-birth, Max will just join us in the delivery room. I was amazed to find out that it is an option at this hospital. There is a daycare in the hospital, too, so if I am there during the day Max can go play. We spent Father's day at Jon's parents' house. His mom struck again with a nasty comment about Jon not being a father because the baby isn't here yet. We jumped all over her and pointed out that just because he isn't Max's biological father doesn't mean he isn't a father. I am really sick over the "segregation" she is creating. She is spelling it out that when the baby gets here, she will get all the love and attention because Max isn't her biological grandchild. She even said that the baby can call her grandma, but Max can't (he calls her Nana). Grrr... I told Jon that if she wants to continue playing this "game" I won't go visit with her anymore. I already spend very little time with her as it is. I have no problem cutting her out all together. Jon and I have already decided that she will not be told when the baby is born until we are back home and have had time to adjust. -------------------- ~*~ Kris ~*~
