Which one do you like better?

With a white background:



With a blue background:



I just can't decide between them, and the two people I asked for their opinion both picked a different one.

Judging rules: sooo not allowed to open these in PhotoShop and zoom in to see how badly my background job sucks. It's hard, using the paint tool and a laptop touch pad. >___>

white is better. but it needs a border, text, and something OTHER than a plain color bg.

I tried adding a border and text, but they looked awful. Seriously, 80X80 is so small that adding that kind of stuff covered it up too much.

And the blue IS my attempt to make the background something other than plain white. But I like my avatars simple...do you think maybe if I went right up to her with a lighter (and maybe slightly more complex) background, instead of leaving a border around her like that?

hmm i just wanna check something. im gonna make something using the lighter pic, and then i'll tell u the steps so you can make it how you want...

blue bg is slightly better in my eyes

Edit - Actually, I just re-read this:

Teach me, oh Great Master!! Then I can credit you with the teaching process, and we don't have to worry about putting "sperm" on my avatar. Although after seeing the colour you chose I'm debating whether I like that or the blue better...I guess I'd need to compare as the gradiant.

haha i need no credit. however, i'll make a tut for you. i can't make it right now, cause i'm packing to go home for thanksgiving break, but i'll be home at around 4-5 o'clock. so i'll make an avvy tut for anyone who wants to see it. then, i'll make a sig tut, if people want that.
