Hi CE!

I saw this link on the other forum and couldn't wait to see what it was all about. I am looking forward to meeting others here too. Thanks for putting this together!

I welcome you, Roseheart to this forum. It was painful for me to march forward in this arena seeing that I have such bondage in my life. I have seriously been seeking God this entire year, and often feel as I am not progressing. Yet God still speaks to me and I will never deny that. Ever! My last two encouragements from Him has been to tell people that God can still use them despite whatever, and to tell people we have been delivered---let Him manifest that. despite what we are "feeling". Having eyes and ears that have grown dull, will never refute the glorious news that Christ has set us free. May we journey together as we believe the Truth that sets us free.

Hmmm! Yet you are using words like "march forward". To me, that indicates progress. I don't see that you have set up camp in the land of bondage else you would not have taken these steps to create this site. I do believe it wouldn't be without opposition and besides does the Word not say that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

In addition, to quote you, "and often feel as I am not progressing" with the key word being "feel" here...I would say that what you feel is what you feel and there's no denying your feelings. However, what you KNOW is that it's Christ in you the hope of glory and He that has begun a good work in you (a fine job at that I might add) will bring it about to completion. Don't give up on you, Jesus hasn't and neither will I!

Press on my dear Mojo! Press on!!!!! Jesus and you together is what makes you strong!!!

I believe the greatest way I can express it is,
2Co 12:10 Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
I am learning to rejoice in my infirmities. They are from God as I seperate them and turn them over to the foot of the cross where we receive total healing.
A perfect reading I had two days ago was this: October 7
Rejoice at Weakness

Savior, breathe forgiveness o'er us. All our weakness thou dost know.

Yes! I know all. Every cry for mercy. Every eye of weariness. Every plea for help. Every sorrow over failure. Every weakness.

I am with you through all. My tender sympathy is yours. My strength is yours.
Rejoice at your weakness, My children. My strength is made perfect in weakness. When you are weak then I am strong. Strong to help, to cure, to protect.

Trust Me, My children. I know all. I am beside you. Strong, strong, strong to save. Lean on My Love, and know that all is well.

Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth,
fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding. Isaiah 40:28

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We do have it all going on! Let us rejoice!
My gracious Master and my God, You are a benevolent God. You are kind, generous and compassionate. Our Lord Jesus Christ is a high priest Who can sympathize with our weaknesses. Although You are a consuming fire, You are also tenderhearted, charitable and good. Even though we have sinned against You, You still love us and care about us and feel for us and provide for us. Thank You, Lord, that for me—and all Who know Christ—death has lost its sting. At death, my body and soul are separated. Although my soul will go to enjoy your presence, one day my resurrection body and soul will be reunited. But I will never face spiritual death, the separation of my soul from You. This is the second death, experienced by those who do not know Christ. Jesus will say to them, "Depart from me.... I never knew you." Thank You that Jesus knows me! Great Father of Lights, I pray that You would enlighten those who are struggling with substance abuse and addictions. Some who name the Name of Christ find themselves captive to alcohol, prescription drugs, illegal drugs, pornography, or are rampant spenders of money. Give them grace and the courage to believe that life can be rich and meaningful without their addiction. Help them develop new habits and associations to replace the old ones and help them to focus on getting to know You more than anything else. Lord God my Father, as I come before your throne of mercy, I ask in the name of Jesus Christ my saviour that you forgive all my sins and heal all my diseases. Make me whole, Lord. Help me to understand that you are listening to my plea and that your answers come in ways that I may not expect nor comprehend. Give me courage to rest in you, Lord. In whatever path that you take me along, I trust that you will prepare the best for me and my loved ones. As I continue to seek your face and your will, guide me and lead me. Even though I am weak, Lord, I know you are strong. Even as my body appears frail, I know you will uphold me. I believe you are my ultimate healer that restores me because you have already attained victory over all evil, all sicknesses and all brokenness. I thank you for your sacrifice on the cross for my redemption. I praise you and thank you in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
Doctrinal Statement
1.) I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error as originally given; it is the final and infallible authority in matters of faith and practice.
2.) I believe in the Trinity, one God is Three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3.) I believe that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and rose bodily and literally on the third day.
4.) I believe man is by nature lost and in need of a Savior. By repenting of sin and accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior (by faith alone), we become right with God: our sins are forgiven, heaven is our home, and we will live with our Lord and other believers for ever. Good works may evidence our salvation, but we are saved by God's grace apart from our works.
5.) I believe that those who have not received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will be separated from God and experience His judgment forever.
6.) Jesus will one day return to to establish His Kingdom. He will judge the living and the dead.
