 New GTA IV Info |

According to Turkish Xbox Magazine, this is the new info:
# Vibration every footstep when you run
# No more HUD or user interface, body armor shows
# Flamethrowers and rocket launchers are still in
# Explosions are larger than ever, a mission requires creating a chain reaction of car explosions
# Cars only explode if you blow them up, not by crashing or getting hit
# Niko can run forever, but not as fast as before
# More RPG elements (time specific missions)
# Bullet wounds show, blood appears where you shoot people
# No more eating, girlfriends, or changing body size but skills still improve
# Unlockable vehicles and "plenty of goodies" at 100% completion
# Land size is bigger than 3 cities put together from GTA: San Andreas
# Better graphics than Saints Row, draw distance is as far as you can see.

Last week, Game Informer invited GTA fans to ask questions about their recent experience at R*. Game Informer's Andrew Reiner, the only journalist so far to have seen Grand Theft Auto IV in action, promised to answer as many of your questions as he can. The answers are in...
(Interesting points: There are no airplanes in GTA IV, but flying remains a big part of the game. This means you will be able to fly helicopters. Niko can also climb telephone poles, it seems.)

Kobe Asks: I heard that you can’t fly in Liberty City anymore. What is up with that?! Flying is one of my favorite parts of this series!
This is incorrect. There are no airplanes in the game, but flying is still there. One means of this is the helicopter. As Dan pointed out, this is just one city and a plane really doesn’t fit into that very well for gameplay. Flying is still very much a large part of the game.

Before I start spilling the beans, i'd like to warn everyone. There are spoilers in this topic, but for those who have uncontrollable eyes, i'll colour them white. So they're only viewable when highlighted.
Firstly a member of GameFAQs by the name of 'Jadex9' has posted information regarding how GTAIV starts and some features. Remember this guy has no proof backing his claims, but they do seem very intricate and 'Rockstar-like'.
According to him, the main character isnt Niko Bellic, its his cousin Roman Petronov.
Petronov went to Liberty after having problems with the paramilitary/Mafioso hybrid wing in Estonia. He then invited Bellic to ask for help with his problems with shady characters trying to get into his Taxi-Firm Roman works on a co-operator term.

| PS3 Firmware Update 1.70 Released! |

Its just been discovered that the new firmware update, 1.70 has just been put up for download on the Playstation Store.
Features include:
- Enabled PSONE downloaded games to play on the PS3
- Enabled PSONE game saves to be used on the PSP
- Enabled rumble function on accessories for PS1 and PS2
Rumours are also curculating that playstation 2 and playstation one games run better, with most graphical glitches gone and in most cases better graphics.
SCEA also mentioned that the problem with GTHD when running at 1080i has been fixed. Not that any of us have seen any problems as such!

I just added the Thunder Arcade (thanks to gamefreak11 at invision free support forums)! This has tons of games, and best of all, HIGHSCORES! I'll be adding games later on, so play the ones on there so far. Enjoy!  |

I redid the respect system, so that instead of the old, crummy squares, we now have cool, sleek stars! Where do you rank?

Seeing as no one was really using the IRC, and messages weren't saved, I (thanks to Jaystaffo) added a C-Box from the great people over at http://cbox.ws. It is placed at the bottom of every forum page. I also added a small Taskbar at the top (replacing the old, ugly buttons) to make the forum look even better! Enjoy  |
