At rainbow's end, somewhere during the last installments of American Idol, Jason Castro performed with an Oscar Schmidt OU5 Koa ukulele to the song 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow'. This was Jason Castro's moment in winning the hearts of many fans. With his efforts, his youthful age, and the mark he has left with his unique look and style, his hair most recognized, Jason Castro is a great choice when it comes to a Halloween costume.

The Outfit

Jason Castro wears two different looks. The first look consists of jeans, a button down long sleeved shirt, and long dreads. You can find dreads at your local costume stores, just look in the Bob Marley section of the shop. The dreads should be from a dirty blond to a medium brown. The shirt and jeans you may already own. Holding a microphone, is a great look, yet tossing in a ukulele (or a small child's play guitar) makes this costume a winner. You can find microphones in the toy sections of department stores.

The other outfit would be the white button down shirt under a small long sleeved low v-necked sweater, jeans, long dreads, the ukulele, and microphone. The sweater should be a dim dark gray color, or dark blue. Both outfits are great costume choices.

Happy Dreads

The hair of Jason Castro is unique and identifiable, his trademark dreads. These dreads are long as they stretch all the way down Jason's back. Once you locate a long dread-lock wig, take the front of the wig on both sides and pin them to the back of your head, so that the dreads are out of your face and out of the way. Jason Castro appears to be happy with his work, his songs, and his hair, so smile!

A quick fix on appearing like Jason Castro would be to take a dark brown eyeliner pencil and draw the eyebrows darker, just another feature of Jason Castro.

Jewelry

The necklace of choice to reach the Jason Castro look is a little cross, or stringed trinkets of small size, such as a shark tooth. His bracelets are simply created by tying brown or black yarn, rope, or quarter inch string around the wrist, but not tight.
