We had one of these for Suikoden V prior to its release so why not start one now. We have no information, or no hints from Konami so everything will be 100% speculation at this stage.
So what do you want to see? When do you want to see it? Who do you want to be in it? ect....
Well, there's plenty of roads they could take, and all of them could be very well done.
I heard someone mention this on GameFAQs, and I think it would be pretty cool also. They could have a game set prior to Suikoden I, during the Succession Wars. It would be a nice way to bring the series together as it currently stands. It would feature a younger Barbarossa (pre-Windy) and his generals (such as Milich, Kasim, Teo, etc) and a younger Mathiu and Leon (the Kalekka incident!). The game would obviously center around the Succession War, with the forces of Barbarossa vs. the forces of Geil Rugner for control of the Scarlet Moon Empire. The only downside to that is some people might see it as too repetitive since it'd take place within the lands Suikoden I already covered (but I think it could make a hell of a game).
They could also go further back into the past or explore into the future post Suikoden III. I think as of right now, it's safe to assume Konami can take the series in any direction at this point.

I've often though about that but I could see it more as a Gaiden title because of the Toran location already being used. I wouldn't mind the entire Tinto and Zexan regions coming into play. We have had a brieif look but there's enough to make a whole new game out of it. Both of these nations were really interesting too.
I'm over the whole going back bullcrap. Go forward man. We need it a bit after 3. what pissed me off is that after 2 they jumped 15 years which could of had a couple of older ones in it. Now half of em are retired.

Yeah, It was a really big gap. I wouldn't mind somewhere between Suikoden 2 and 3. There's so much that went on in that time and there could be some really good events going on there. Namely Flik/Vik/SDS
Yea, I always woulda liked to see Viktor and Flik given a proper ending to their story. After all they did in Suikoden I and II it didn't seem like they got a proper finish to the important part they played in the series.

For a Suikoden I'd like to see the New Armes Kingdom or Harmonia. Since we're obviously going to see Harmonia eventually, I want the New Armes Kingdom for Suikoden VI. Of course, I'd like to see it after three but I suppose it doesn't really matter when the region is so far away from Harmonia.
For future Gaidens (Including tactics games) I'd like to see:
High East Rebellion - C'mon, Flik and Viktor and Highland. I mean, Highland was hardly developed in Suikoden II. I seriously doubt there were only three cities in the whole country.
Succession War - Most of the reasons Anji stated.
Tinto/Zexan War - Mostly because I want to see how Dunan and the Grasslands/Zexen area are attached...
I would have to say that I would love to see a Suikoden set in the Succession Wars. Either that or I would say that Suikoden VI must take place either post Suikoden III, or between Suikoden II and Suikoden III.
I would really enjoy seeing a game set during the Fire Bringer War (correct me if I'm wrong). Either that, or something concerning the New Armes Kingdom. Harmonia just has to be used when all 27 True Runes are revealed.
I think it will be the New Armes Kingdom. Look at how we're moving in geography:
I - Scarlet Moon Empire/Toran Republic II - City-States of Jowston/Highland/Toran Republic (Northwest of I) III - Zexen/Grasslands/a part of Harmonia (more to the North) Then we moved south: IV/Tactics - Island Nations V - Queendom of Falena (south of IV)
So since the New Armes Kingdom is even more to the south, I think they'll use that. I've taken IV as a starting point, just like I.
I'm almost positive that once they go past the events in Suikoden III, they will finish up the Pesmerga/Yuber storyline. The only thing I doubt we'll see is a true ending for Flik and Viktor (which would actually make a pretty cool gaiden game the more I think about it).
Either way, I can't wait for Suikoden VI to come out. Wherever they take the story, I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Konami has never disappointed me with their games (even outside of Suikoden).

First of all, I'd like to apologize to Flik for anything he might not like about this post :D
I don't really want to see Pesmerga as a main character... He'd likely be boring. Lets see... He's kind of like a toaster. His sole purpose in life is to hunt Yuber. A toaster's sole purpose in life is to make toast. So really, Pesmerga isn't any more interesting than a toaster. Actually, a toaster is much more interesting because a toaster can warm other bready substances like bagels (if that's how you spell it) and waffles. So yes, I would prefer a toaster over Pesmerga. I suppose Pesmerga could take a role the size of Freed Y's though... He might be a good person to have around when fighting Yuber. Because Yuber is Pesmerga's bread.
Yuber, on the other hand, actually does stuff. I wouldn't mind learning more about him. However, I wouldn't be too disappointed if he just kept doing what he's doing.

Hah, toaster.
Nah, I don't know if he would do good in a real big role, but as you said, something bigger than he has in the past would be good. I think Yuber it a much better character. He's just clearly psychotic, which is why I want to see more of him. I also agree that Pesmerga wouldn't be anything without Yuber. Apart from his Uber cool appearance, Yuber is all that's going for him.
