Title: Instruments
Description: those plain instruments....
Wakaba - July 22, 2005 10:58 AM (GMT)
I like the piano, violin and the guitar music ^^ I hate the trumpet <_< the sounds are annoying. And in the piano, violin and guitar, I prefer calm musics and solo...unless it is piano + violin ...it sounds sweet like in gaiden
Viktor - July 22, 2005 10:59 AM (GMT)
Guitar and Drums i like. Prob cause of cool beats and mad sounds!
Camus - July 22, 2005 11:04 AM (GMT)
I like the violin (and electric violin), piano, organ, all guitars, flute and drums. i kinda enjoy playing classic and baroque music on my violin. I wish I could play all the instruments named above but i only play the violin. Heh keep dreaming Camus... Well I enjoy playing duets or more, piano accompaniments, voice accompaniments and orchestral music.
Wakaba - July 22, 2005 11:41 AM (GMT)
yes, violin is sweet...unless it is literally scratch...ahh! Don't play the violin Camus! It screeches!!! lol xD just kidding ^^ my best friend knows how but never heard her play, only flute
right now I'm listening to piano versions of songs...especially the Fields of Hope of Gundam SEED DESTINY, not only that the song, lyrics, singer (is cute and hot ^^) but the beat is very good and as usual, the music is always good!
Camus - July 22, 2005 11:47 AM (GMT)
Hmm I also like those wooden flutes. THe violin screeches only if you don't arm the bow well with rosin and if the adjusters in the violin's tailpiece are badly placed.
Wakaba - July 22, 2005 11:52 AM (GMT)
hmm...I fear playing the violin because it made my best friend's neck stroke O.o fear it before you believe it :ph43r:
Camus - July 22, 2005 11:56 AM (GMT)
Really? Maybe bad posture or she didn't learn how to hold it in front of a mirror. Basic excercise before playing the violin: Stand in front of a mirror and hold your violin. Practice holding the violin until it's almost perfect.
Wakaba - July 22, 2005 12:02 PM (GMT)
she's not stupid you know O.o she's younger than me and yet smarter...but in a way I'm smart mwahaha!
Anyway, love the high pitch violin sounds...sweet ;)
Camus - July 22, 2005 12:08 PM (GMT)
Even pro musicians practice how to hold their postures. IT's not a question of how smart, just how much you've practiced it. The high pitched sounds on the violin? Nightmare if you have to play a whole piece on them. Plus shifting positions is a tad too delicate. EG I'm looking for a note and shifted. The note came good but the next time I play it it's slightly higher/lower. Phew at least I managed to improve my shifting positions before Gr.5 and learnt that watches are no go with violoins.
Wakaba - July 22, 2005 12:16 PM (GMT)
I really hate playing instruments xD but love listening to them...though I don't like live playing o.O don't ask.... :ph43r:
Camus - July 22, 2005 12:20 PM (GMT)
Live playing is scary sometimes. My legs feel so stiff I ffel as if I'm gonna fall.
Wakaba - July 22, 2005 12:21 PM (GMT)
yeah I know and somehow, it's deafening (is there a word like that =p)
Camus - July 22, 2005 12:26 PM (GMT)
Depends on the enviroment though. If it's open air it's not so deafening (yes that word exists :P )
Bob (Free) - July 22, 2005 12:35 PM (GMT)
I'l love to learn how to play a violin and piano when I could get some free time here.
Wakaba - July 22, 2005 12:40 PM (GMT)
I gave up on piano no matter how I love it...it so damn annoying I hit it too hard :ph43r:
Camus - July 22, 2005 12:41 PM (GMT)
Well if you plan to learn with the proper exams and certificates and stuff it'll take about (normally) 9 years to reach a diploma. unless you decide not to go throug the intensive exams and expert lessons.
Ted - July 22, 2005 02:35 PM (GMT)
I play the piano by ear, and maybe the church organ (which I get to use every Tuesday).
Other than that... I have my computer synthesizer.
Camus - July 22, 2005 05:25 PM (GMT)
I find ear music really tough, especially if it's with an instruments with many different contraptions like the flute. And i enjoy making music with the pc synthesiser.
Nash - July 22, 2005 07:19 PM (GMT)
I love a group of Violins playing accompanied with a few of Violas and Cellos for that mellow sound. Works well with most RPGs. Then add a few acoustic guitars and a piano to ballence everything out. Flutes are a nice touch too.
But I like playing the guitar the most though, I find it actually relaxing.
Camus - July 22, 2005 07:41 PM (GMT)
My uncle or aunt might teach me how to play the guitar. It's relxing, strutting the plecktrum through the strings.
Nash - July 22, 2005 07:43 PM (GMT)
Yeah its really fun. Its just kinda hard to get some chords down and stuff. Well, I guess that's why I have to practice a lot lol.
Camus - July 22, 2005 07:54 PM (GMT)
Yep I think the guitar was kinda pointless in the Castle music in Suikoden 2's North window. Should have done chords instead and a wind instrument should've played it's part.
Wakaba - July 23, 2005 06:26 AM (GMT)
does anyone appriciates tambourine (sp?) it sounds fair especially with violins O.o
Camus - July 23, 2005 07:38 AM (GMT)
Sure tambourines are cool. I like all instruments they're my passion.
Wakaba - July 23, 2005 08:16 AM (GMT)
cool! ^^ also, which type of solo instruments do you prefer? I prefer solo versions in piano =O
Camus - July 23, 2005 08:23 AM (GMT)
Violins, violas, pianos, organs, flutes and piccolos. Those are my favorite solo instruments.
Wakaba - July 23, 2005 12:28 PM (GMT)
flutes doesn't impress me that much =O
Camus - July 23, 2005 01:17 PM (GMT)
Flutes make a really nice sound. The only catch is the breathing prob. Playing 5 notes and breathe quickly.... Sound like a lot of work. That's why I admire my friends who play wind instruments.
Bob (Free) - July 23, 2005 01:46 PM (GMT)
I also prefer solo versions of Piano, I really like the sound of Pachebel canon, it's quite relaxing whenever I tried to listen to it.
Wakaba - July 23, 2005 02:01 PM (GMT)
hmmm...violins could be annoying at times :ph43r:
Camus - July 23, 2005 02:53 PM (GMT)
The only music instrument I don't like is the Techno synthesiser. Sucks.
Nash - July 23, 2005 10:24 PM (GMT)

Yeah, playing the Flute is way hard. I tried playing it once back in Junior High School. LoL, ran out of breath so fast, plus you mouth, jaw and lips get worn out because you have to make it shape in a way to make a certain sound or play a single note.. So I just switched to the Clarinet which is pretty easy once you get the fingering down. It only gets hard when you get to those really, really, really high notes.
Wakaba - July 23, 2005 10:25 PM (GMT)
clarinet sounds great also  one of my favorites and the name is nice :P
Nash - July 23, 2005 10:30 PM (GMT)
Yeah, but I stopped playing after Junior High, guess I got bored of it. So all I play is the guitar, like maybe once a month lol.
Wakaba - July 23, 2005 10:34 PM (GMT)
tsk-tsk-tsk. you're wasting the money for buying those and for practice >< xD
Nash - July 23, 2005 10:41 PM (GMT)
Actually, I rented the instrument, in Highschool you have to buy your own and since I started getting tired of playing in the orchestra, I didn't bother going on the orchestra in my school.
Wakaba - July 23, 2005 10:45 PM (GMT)
so playing the instruments was quite a waste ne? xD
Nash - July 23, 2005 10:52 PM (GMT)
Well, not really. It was fun in the beginning, but I guess I just grew out of it. Playing instruments was something I didn't want to do for the rest of my Highschool years or my life. Plus with all the work I've been getting last year and the year before, I guess it was pure luck that I chose not to be in the band. Otherwise it would be all work and no play. Don't get me wrong though, playing the Clarinet was fun for a while.
Sierra - July 23, 2005 11:34 PM (GMT)
Hm.. well I like guitar and violin music n_n
I actually play Electric Violin / Electric Bass, sometimes Keyboard as well.
Wakaba - July 24, 2005 06:55 AM (GMT)
electric violin? there is such a thing? Wow....I should really be aware of such things :ph43r:
