I recently came across this game recently again after remembering it from a while ago when I actually downloaded one of the early versions of the game. Apparently the one I saw was a newer version of rpg maker. I have yet to find a copy (well the last time I looked anyway), am very much looking for it though if anyone finds it anywhere.

The game itself is a J-RPG akin to the classic FF games, set in Neo New York after an inncident where Charles Barkley used a "Chaos Dunk" to win a game and accidentally killed all those in attendance. Thenafter Basketball was deemed illegal and banned due to Barkley's actions. As a result nearly all Basketball players were killed in the "The Great B-Ball Purge of 2041" also known as B-Ballnacht.

Jumping to the year 2053 another Chaos Dunk occurs and the blame falls again on Barkley and so his story begins with the hopes of finding peace for his young son Hoopz. As he encounters such terrifying fiend as The B-Ball Monster, Ghost Dad and Michael Jordan!!!

I know the story sounds immense...

many Basketball players make cameo's including Vince Carter, Larry Bird and Lebron James.

Apparently the game was originally made for RPG Maker 2003 but has been ported to Gamemaker 6.1 with the second being the more powerful and thus the "improved" game.

Wow, the things people will create with RPG maker, lol.

The storyline and dialouge is absurd enough to be really hilarious. Every line spoken in that trailer had me laughing.
