Hello everyone! I'm not really one for OOC stuff, at least not as much as I used to be I suppose, but I need help with something. I've been working on trying to find a character to possibly dual in the future that is a canon character. For me, if I wanted to make a custom, I could easily do it, but I'd rather want that for a tri-account for fun. Considering I don't know what the future holds, I think having three characters is far off for me, but I know I'm more than capable for a dual to keep things interesting.

Anyways, I know there are threads like Character Requests, Free Characters, that touch on this subject as far as who we would like to see in the RP. However, I haven't been exactly thrilled with all the characters listed back then to try and play here. So my request is for everyone if they have time to, to pitch in a few character ideas. I like the possibilities of playing the second to someone else's character. An example of this is when I first started here at CNW with Grenseal to the old Alen, when Clive and Klaus and Flik were the big three in the storyline lol.

So any Suikoden characters that have a connection to a character that isn't already used, please list them, even if you think it's not my particular style. For extra help, I'll list characters I have played and have considered playing in the future at one for some type of guideline..if you can even figure out my interests from the list lol. However, feel free to throw in anyone you like with a possible reason if you wish!

Played

Grenseal - First character I actually role-played with. Awesome fun teaming up with Alen, however I'm not so sure about picking him again without his red partner.
Zaj - Playing him now, we both share a hatred for Nash :lol:
Rikimaru - Fun guy, thought up a lot of different scenarios with him.
Geddoe - I'd rather play him in a S3 setting or beyond that lol.
Fuma - My favorite copy of Kage! I just like him.
Isabel (+Mathias NPC) - Izzy is my favorite out of the duo, although Mathias was an extra bonus. I liked both roles.
Genshu - Same as Riki for the most part.
Barts (Suikoden III, not playable ;( ) - LOVE to play as him.

Not Played (But Considered!)

Koyu - He's my fav. of the bandits. Cool kid.
Gijimu - He has a history and I suppose the unofficial leader of the bandits.
Lo Wen - She has an interesting history, plus like her weapon.
Riou - I played Suikoden 2, just figure it would be natural for anyone who has lol.
Clive - HVG!! But I have Zaj and I'd like others to pick up the other members...
Oulan - Angry Dragon Rune + Fury + Exertion Rune = Ownage. Thought of plans.
Sasuke - Another ninja, he's cool and fits the timeline.
Huan - A doctor! He'd be different from the other guys I've played.
Miklotov - There is a loyal Camus Rper here and they are the Alen-Gren team of S2.
Luc - Cool attitude, plus he's Sasarai's rival twin. Sassy-pants who I hated in S2.
Seed - I can't see myself playing Culgan, but Seed is cool.
Sid - If Chaaaaco still played him, this would be fun. I like Landis as well lol.
Sydonia - He's a pretty weird guy, with a weird technique that would be fun to exploit.
Pesmerga - He'd be kinda like playing Zaj in a way, chasing around his nemesis.
Yuber - I don't expect to get him nor have a high wish to, but he's always cool.
Zamza - Fire Dragon Rune is badass like Oulan's rune. Cool guy.
Linfa - SV girl, she's cool and I've thought of scenarios.
Dinn - I like him, not sure there's a reasonable reason he'd leave Sable though.
Nikea - The SV Oulan in a way. I guess I just like them? lol.
Roy - Great character, loved his whole set-up in SV.
Shigure - Another character I liked a lot!
Zerase - Enigma character, can work a lot with her.

There's probably a lot more, but I just can't remember at the moment. Anyways, don't be limited to just the list above, I'm interested in all sorts of ideas. Thanks in advance everyone!

I've been thinking about Culgan a lot lately, though I haven't decided, so if you wanted Seed, we could team up. Other than that, there are still quite a few options, though I don't know how they strike you.

Lotte - You get to be an earth-shattering magician and run around with cute kitties.

Zegai ~ A good charecter, story but silent.
Sgt. Jordi ~ The best of all my suggestions, he's funny, great and like all of them he's customizable.

Requests for Kiba:

Han Cunningham - You could always take over the story account, there is no taboo on this character. Though currently it would be awkard, but something to take into consideration down the road.

Seed - Before our old Seed left I had some brief fun working out a friendship between Klaus and Seed. Another young Highlander to help show off the fiery passion of the nation. Plus I see you already considered it, and Jerimah wants to pick up Culgan.

Requests for Viktor:

Leona: Every drunk needs a bartender!!! I just think CNW needs a Leona in general, but it would be especially cool for Vik.

Gengen: Where's my furry lil' mercenary captain to help babysit all these kids?

Gilbert: Well the old one disappeared, and us mercenary captains gotta stick together! C'mon, Flik and I are tired of being the only sell-swords captains around here!

Humphrey: Well I used to play him (lol true story you were there!) and I love the character. Besides that I think it would go really well with the characters we have on board. I.E. Flik, Viktor, McDohl, and Grady.

Requests for Kaiser

Kruetz: He is built intricately into Kaiser's story line and would be cool to have around!

Crowley: The old boy is always an option as a mage character.

Georg: Freed up i believe now so a possibility?

Vincent/Simone: Every suikoden game needs its foppish aristocrats, Mon Ami. :blink:

Euram: This is one that I always considered potential with, after the war in Falena has Euram changed? Has he developed some gaul and became stronger and older...?

Duke: Possibilities with Geddoe?

Genoh: Oh come on it would be cool being a huge tortoise :lol:

A Few ideas for custom-semi cannons:

Sons of Boz: If I remember he had two boys, maybe one could turn up rocking the same hair do as his father?

Foryyn: I think we chatted about this one didn't we Zaj? The Bodyguard who helps Viktor to defeat a vampire and has a giant sword he wields with ease in one hand. Sounds like an awesome powerhouse character.

A Young Guisu?: Perhaps a family member with a grudge against Maha?

Myriam: Could represent Zexen, she is a character we never see...unless you read the manga i believe?

Thanks a lot everyone for the feedback here! There's a lot of characters there and after some debating I picked out the top 5 characters that I wouldn't mind pursuing out of everyone's choices. I'll have to do some researching, try a few sample RPs and test out a few scenarios to see where I want to go with them, but here they are.

1) Seed - He's the top guy here. I always liked him character wise, plus he seems to have a need considering as an official Highland guy. I doubt I could do him justice, but I'd be willing to give it a shot. Besides if Jermiah is definitely looking to pick up Culgan in the near future, I think he should definitely have a Seed.

2) Foryyn - To be honest, I totally forgot about him since there isn't too much information on the guy (and I just remembered our convo. after reading your post Belcoot lol.) He would be very cool to expand upon. With the South Window event coming along, he'd be a perfect fit for it if I were to get a profile up in time.

3) Anita - Considering we have a Valeria and Belcoot, the Roundier Haia pupils trio would be complete. She is a character I thought of playing, just didn't put it down.

4) Sydonia - I can see working in a pretty solid role for him, he's had an interesting past as well.

5) Lotte/Crowley - I've never played a mage-type character, unless they were an NPC of some sort. It would be different for me to have one in that regard, but I doubt I'll try for one anytime soon.

Anymore feedback would be great, however I'm thinking my top 3 choices are what I'll try working on in the meantime.

I've seen some good suggestions and I have a few more that people may want to consider. Most of them would fit easily into the storyline and already have an intricate storyline of their own. Though it's unsure which way our own CNW Storyline is headed, these characters should fit easily into things to come.

Sasarai: I've played as him on a few different boards, and almost got around to playing as him on this one. He's very carefree with loads of responsibility. His backstory as everyone knows is one unlike any other ( save Luc ). He's a rune bearer so whomever chooses him will have a lot on their hands immediately.
Kasumi: My love! Nah, but in all seriousness she's awesome. I would play her as a second if McDohl wasn't my main. Hell of a backstory, great personality, and awesome skills as a ninja. Throw in the good looks and you can't go wrong.
Jowy: Someone should seriously pick him back up. We had a member join as him about a month back but that person doesn't seem to be going anywhere ( as it stands ) with Jowy. We have a Riou here so maybe the Rune of Beginning could come into play. He has loads of personality and backstory and would make any talented roleplayer happy. Luc: He's a character that would take a lot of skill to wield properly. His personality and backstory could lead to his doom as we all know, but in the right hands he could be used for purposes unseen. He's hilarious and too me is one of the coolest characters in Genso Suikoden. Someone should really pick him up!

More suggestions are abound as usual I'm sure. But I think that anyone new member / member who's looking to select / add a character would be helped out immensely simply by reading.

I don't know why but when I first read Foryyn's description I thought of Donovan Baine from ShadowStalkers. The chap had a huge sword that he used with ease (In fact im pretty sure he never held it if my memory is correct), he also was the protector of a small girl (like Foryyn was a bodyguard to a boy).
