Character Description: Stella
Stella has the appearance of a young harmless girl, however harmless is exactly what she is not. It's her cute overall look that throws off people of her true background of being an Apprentice Class within the Howling Voice Guild. Stella is a dark-colored brunette with her hair pulled back in a small pony tail. She wears a grey headband on top of her head as her bangs spill from underneath that to cover her eyebrows. Her eyes are a sparkly grey color as her face reflects that of a cheerful eleven year old. Her main attire is a mix of black, brown, grey and a golden yellow color for colors. Her top covers the majority of her bother as it's black around the collar and has small grey latches secured in the front, that come down to the middle of her chest. Her sleeves and torso are a mix of yellow and brown. Underneath her sleeves, she has sharp metal claws attached to her wrists that she can conceal and reveal easily enough when needed for use. At her waist the color changes to grey with brown latches that make it seem like a skirt wrapped around her that reaches a bit further down than the back of her knees. Her pants are a the same yellow color as her top as she wears dark grey fitted shoes on her feet, similar to that of a canvas-style shoe. Overall, her clothes are durable for most weather, but light enough that they don't hinder her movements too much. With her natural gift of innocence, she makes quite the deadly assassin.
Biography:
Like many of the children within the Howling Voice Guild, Stella was brought up their and faced many hardships. There was very little for those to grab onto as far as hope for the future, when the friends they were able to make would be enemies or already dead in the near future. Yet, those that made it to a higher ranking in the Apprentice Class, were usually successful enough to advance to the next class. As Stella was slowly growing in rank and surviving, she found her strength and inspiration in a new squire class gunner that had not grown up in the Guild like her peers. That person was Zaj, who she quickly became charmed by at a young age. Whenever Quilos was assigned to help in training the apprentices, she was happy to join in his sessions. Through her talents, she eventually was noticed by the Black Moon as a capable assistant. She still strives to raise onto the next level of Squire Class, but knows she has a lot more work to do. Inbetween her training around the Tower and take small odd jobs here and there from the council, she helps Zaj with his plans.
Personality:
Despite growing up in the Howling Voice Guild, Stella is not incapable of showing signs of happiness. Infact, one would assume from the outside that she has lived a carefree life as a child. She usually has an upbeat appearance about her, but it can change depending on the situation. She hasn't exactly mastered the art of hiding her feelings or intentions quite as well as Zaj has. She is also one of the only few that Zaj Quilos has made a genuine connection with. Stella's faith and trust in him has earned her a spot as his assistant, which in turn works in her favor due to her own personal interest in the older gunner. She follows orders quite well for the most part and is more than capable of taking one's life without hesitation. In working with Zaj, a bit of his mischievious ways has begun to rub off on her. Using manipulative skills to her advantage has become apart of her repertoire. She also enjoys to cook, although her skills in that department are unfortunately lacking..to anyone's dismay for trying her dishes.
RP Sample:
The air was very dense in the room that the young apprentice stood in. She stood quite tired from what seemed like a brutal consecutive training session, from an outsider's point of view. Her hair which would normally be tied up in the back had already been cut out of it, as her clothes had many slash marks through it. Most could be found around her arms and some even at her back, as she had a few visible scratches on her skin. There were about three other youths in the room with her, all of them in similar condition to herself, or much worse off. The only sounds that were heard were slight groans of pain, heavy breathing and the occassional flicker of flames from the light posts that barely luminated the room. Within the shadows though, a higher class gunner smiled with his arms crossed as he adjusted his glasses. Not because they bothered him, but more or less because he wanted to take in greater detail how this training session would end.

It would only take a few moments before one of the children would fall to their knees as fatigue had set into their legs. That was when the apprentice known as Stella rushed forward to reach the young male who could see not only was she coming towards him, but the other two males in the room too. Being agile on her feet, Stella was able to cross the distance much faster as she uncovered her hidden claw on her right arm. As she did so though, there was a noticeable speed boost as she closed three-fourths of the gap between her and the targeted male on his knees. Bringing back her right arm, she launched it forward and plunged the weapon into the top portion of the male's chest, right below his neck. Quickly pulling the claw out, Stella rolled over the boy's left shoulder and got behind him to strike with her left claw to his spine.

At this point, she now had a lifeless human shield in her possession, an extra defense against two other possible candidates. The two other males with daggers in their hands seemed to acknowledge each other as they closed in, for a recognized temporary alliance. It didn't take much for them to decide that they could be in trouble if they underestimated the girl who already disposed of one of their peers. However, the clacking of shoes against the stone pavement and a clapping had signaled that the 'drafting' session was over. Emerging fom the shadows was the trainer of the day, Zaj of the Black Moon, as the children stopped what they were doing and looked to him for instructions.

" Congratulations. You've been selected as the top of your specific class division. It shall only be a matter of time and a recommendation for you to advance to the next level." Zaj spoke, giving a slight nod with a rather twisted smile. There was something about the tone of his words and the way he looked at the apprentices, that always worried them about his underlying intentions. Yet, they were more happy that they had actually survived through the basic trainings and then ultimate test to see if they even had the killing instinct within them to face off against the peers they had once been working together with a few hours prior. As Zaj dismissed them to follow another Squire class trainer who was helping out within the shadows as well, he purposely asked for Stella to wait. He had been impressed with her talent , and could see some potential in it.

The body that was in Stella's hand had been dropped to her feet, to remain there with the rest of the trainees until someone cleaned up the room. Her legs began to feel wobbly herself as she stood in front of one her superiors that she admired. Beginning to feel a bit light in her head, she began to feel the effect of using her rune and dropped forward, until Zaj moved and caught her. ' Hmm, a bit reckless to use such a tactic when one's body is already nearing its limits. However....' Zaj began to wander off in his thoughts as he held Stella up. It was a bit out of his character, but he decided to pick the young apprentice up off her feet and carry her to her quarters. Stella was conscious enough to see that Quilos was actually helping her, which brought a smile to her lips as she closed her eyes to rest.

Shaking his head as he looked down at her and reached the apprentice rooms, with lots of beds now that were vacant, he placed her down on one and looked over her. Adjusting his spectacles again, Zaj turned to the door to see the new recruits moving in. As they walked around to find the beds they wanted, Zaj stopped one of the starting male apprentices with a slight smirk on his face.

" Tell her that the Black Moon wishes to speak with her further when she awakes. Understood?" Zaj commanded as he proceeded to make his way out of the room.

This counts as Zaj's 1st NPC.

I want to see this lady in action, she seems to be a pretty interesting character. Nice twist to the HVG clichés, hope she serves you well.
