The last few weeks most of my gaming time that I've had has been devoted to playing Final Fantasy games via emulation, and I've come up with an idea to celebrate the franchise's 20th anniversary (albeit a year late). I'm going to post up topics to vote for the "Best FF..." and take votes. For each topic I choose, if you wish to participate, PM me your top three choices (your #1 will be worth 3 points, #2 worth 2 points, and #3 worth 1 point). I'll wait about a week before compiling the voting results and post them up in this thread along with the next topic to vote for. You may also post topics you wish to see voted on, ANYTHING FF related is welcomed, no matter how minute it may be.

The first topic will be favorite Final Fantasy Couples/Duos. This can be romantic like Squall/Rinoa, partnerships like Raijin/Fujin, Palom/Porom, etc. It can even be relationships between major/minor characters like Freya/Fratley in FFIX or Cid/Shera in FF7. Even the brother relationship of Edgar/Sabin, Cecil and Kain's relationship (or Cecil and Rosa of course), anything you can justify is ok to vote for. VOTE!

PS - Any game with "Final Fantasy" in the title is open for voting, though personally I'd encourage selections to be from the main series and it's direct spinoffs (IE Final Fantasy I-XII, X-2 would be OK, Dirge of Cerberus and anything within the sphere of Compilation of FFVII, Ivalice Alliance for FFXII, Tactics is ok as well, etc).

Future Topics - Some of these topics I'll tackle 2 or 3 at a time if they relate. Don't worry if some of these sound ambiguous, this list is just for my uses and I'll explain in detail when their day comes (or may never use them)

Well, you can count me in on this. I just shipped off my first three choices to you, Shuster. :D

I'll PM you mine also I cant wait for the soundtrack one, thats gonna be a tough call for myself with Uematsu being my favourite composer.

Getting results in now, kinda surprised by some of the results so far...actually very surprised by some of the results so far. Since I already got 4 replies I'll only give this one a few more days so we can tackle some of the topics I have already listed (I've got a bunch more I haven't put up too)

Well, since this one is pretty clear cut, I'm going to call it sooner than I planned to. The duo of Cecil and Kain from Final Fantasy IV have won this, with the brothers Figaro (Edgar/Sabin) from Final Fantasy VI in a distant second.

The next topic for voting will be a two-fer! First vote for your favorite 3 Final Fantasy Soundtracks, and also vote for your favorite 3 Final Fantasy songs!

Are you talking about the nominations for future topics, or the actual voting breakdown for the Couples/Duos? As far as nominations go for future topics, those ideas listed at the top are all I have for now...

I would not mind seeing both but I am thinking Jerm was refering to the nominated duos of the previous vote. It would be hard to list all the track names of the FF games, I have to soundtracks of 7,8 and 10 and they number at like 50+ tracks and its usually across multiple discs.

Belcoot is correct. I was talking about seeing all of the couples/duos that were voted for. No names of who voted need be mentioned, but I'd kinda like to see if anyone else came up with some of the same ideas I did.

Well, I will tell you that no one voted the same way you did (for anything actually). It may sound strange, but I have my reasons for keeping all the voting details anonymous/secret.

Also, as I already said Belcoot, any ideas I have for future topics are posted at the top, so if there's something you don't see up there you can suggest it.

I'm saving all of the voting details and will probably release them when I'm through with every topic.
