(starting at 2/1/0/0)Character Description:

Wearing the customary Red Knight uniform along with white trousers and black boots reaching to the knee, Camus appears to be a true nobleman, perhaps even mistaken as a fresh prince. Head up, back straight and shoulders pulled, Camus never fails to show a negative sizing up impression and shows off his height to its full extent. His red hair doesn't match his personality, as he is contrary to the red fire of adventure and recklessness. In fact, he is a polite and calm gentleman all the way until his nerves are driven past the boiling point.
Biography:
Camus was born in Camaro, where the rest of his family had all experienced knighthood in their hometown. Therefore the best tuition he received as a child was that of knighthood. However due to a stated law only Camus' older brother was allowed to join the Knights of Camaro. Camus often acted as squire for his brother, but his ambition was great and eventually he left his hometown for the Matilda region, where he applied to be a knight there. In his entry exam he met with another trainee named Miklotov and it was from that day on that the two men became close to legend in Matilda, setting the record for the longest duel (between themselves) and showing great potential. In time Camus also became the Captain of the Red Knights of Matilda, setting another record for being the youngest captain in the Knightdom's history. The knights captained by Camus show the same grace and calmness which their leader possesses, however they lack the flair induced by the sword-art of Camus.
Personality:
Being a knight, Camus' main goal in life is to serve and protect those in need. He is ready to join up with anyone who has good intentions. It is true that Camus is very peaceful and wishes to settle conflicts by wise knowledge rather than brute force, however he has a "maniac switch" which turns on automatically when all else is to no avail.

"Are you sure that's the news going around in the south?""Definitely. I bumped into the woman herself actually. Asked me to help, at least at what I do best. Everything counts nowadays."
Of course everything counted. Ever since Muse had fallen, the City-State had lost a lot of spirit and people suddenly found themselves practically begging to join the army, as they no longer felt safe without the comfort of a hastily forged sword in their hands. And there was no less effort from Highland. Several raids had befallen the barren village of Highway, and with every raid an estimate of ten new enslaved recruits joined the Highland Army, probably to be sent into the front lines of hot battles. It was only a matter of time before the Highland Army knocked on the doors of Rockaxe.
Yet how could he believe what this man was saying? A satchel full of various red wines was swinging left and right as the man moved his arms around to speak. A half-empty bottle found itself grasped by the man's pale and tiny right hand.
"I don't know if you're passing on a rumour you heard. The bottle doesn't convince me very much.""Oh trust me, I'm not drunk. I'm a wine merchant. Thank goodness I didn't choose to pursue a perfume business, the border guards would accept the wine any day. I doubt they'd accept a bribe with perfume. I celebrated my ability to get through the Highland Army as soon as I reached Highway."
So that was how he managed to slip through. Appealing to whatever was missing most to a soldier away from home, perhaps the greatest greed one could achieve. This was a smart man indeed. Perhaps he was telling the truth. Maybe Annabelle really was trying to relight the candles that once followed her all the way, even to the brink of death. What would Gorudo think of it? No, he would not accept an open invitation to a war with the bloody bastards.
Matilda is an independent state, not a part of the faltering City-State. Therefore, we are not at war with Highland.Gorudo's word was law, and Camus could not defy it. But at the same time he knew that Matilda was part of the City-State, why else would Lady Annabelle have called for the knightdom's presence in her final war council? Besides, Matilda wasn't a faraway target from the rest of the City-State.
It is a knight's duty to serve and protect those in need. Camus grew up by this principle, and even the rest of his counterparts, Gorudo included, had to silence their tongues to this statement. Therefore it was decided, the wine merchant would deliver Camus through Muse and down to Kuskus, and in return the merchant would be given an underground patch of land which would be built into a wine cellar free of charge.
A small price to pay for an opportunity so large.
