Ok, ok, how about this!

New art for Cecil and Kain. (It's Kain with a K jappys!)

~

I can't wait to see how Edge looks. All the characters are looking good with the new 3-D designs.

This game is going to be soooooooooooo awesome!

Wow....this is awesome. My brain is being flooded with old memories just by looking at things like that.

Wow, a whole graphical remake, that's freaking awesome! I can't wait for it.

Although definately a great reason to have a DS, and certainly a game worthy of a remake, I am a little disappointed they are using the 'demented' style 3D graphics, instead of taking a more proportional approach. I know this graphics style is consistent with every other DS title SE is producing these days, but FF4 always struck me as needing a slightly more serious touch, but that is just me.

Regardless, you better believe I will be getting this. Do we have any details on game release times? I am presuming it is still in terms of years at the moment.

[Paladin didn't make me swoon enough.]

I don't think I have read anything on the release date.

They (SqaureEnix) seemed content with what they did graphically in FF3. Being a huge FF4 fan, I would have rather they remake this on a console where they could super beef up the graphics. However, I am happy just the same with what I see so far.

The one thing, I do not want to see in this game is in fights; I want the character to attack the monster directly, not just slash at air and the monster receive damage. It doesn't seem that hard to do that, and it just looks better.

Also, they are adding a butt load of new stuff to the game that was left out of the original cartridge. They also said they are taking out some scenes as well. I hope they know what they are doing. lol

A teaser trailer!

It's all we have as far as videos, but it's glorious all the same!

Very purdy :) Almost makes me wish I owned a DS.

Am I wrong, or was that Kain hiding out behind the pillar near the beginning, while Cecil and the girl (wasn't her name Rosa?) were talking?

Nerd be I!

Have you seen this video?

There is a better quality one you can download off of RPGamer.com

but anyways

Final Fantasy 4.

The remake on the DS, Japan release on 12/20...

6 days after my birthday.

The Gba game was released 12/14 in America....

ON MY BIRTHDAY!

No doubt in my mind, this is my favorite video game of all time, and this remake is going to have me falling in love with the game all over again.

It looks simply amazing.

Yeah, that looks pretty awesome. What do you think the chances are for a US/Pal release of the game for the DS? About nil?

I haven't played the GBA version of the game, but I have doubts it could compare to what I just watched.

Nash - October 8, 2007 01:14 AM (GMT)
Oh this game is coming to me.

Or I will come to it.

...

yeah?

Clive - October 9, 2007 10:16 AM (GMT)
oh my god, this is freaking awesome. I guess it's as close as we'll get to a full graphical face lift, but it still looks superb. I can't wait to see the full CGIs for the rest of the characters. I have GOT to get a DS, just for his.

I wonder how they'll incorporate the two screens into it. Personally for an FF, I'd rather not draw for spells, draw a pattern for attacks, or use the stylus to move around with, but I got a bad feeling about it. Does anyone know how it work'd with 3?

I wonder if they'll do anything with 5 or 6? Personally I didn't like 5, but I think 6 would be better on the psp with non-dementedness for the characters. But with 3 and 4 on DS, I guess 5 and 6 would be too. yet FFT is on PSP, lol. You crazy japanese!

I wonder if they are going to keep Kain's name Kain in the English translation. I know it's supposed to be Cain, but after years of seeing it with the K, the K seems more accurate, ami rite!?

Also, Edge is supposed to be Edward, and Edward is supposed to be Gilbert!

Silly jap-os indeed!

Nice. ;)

I forgot all about Ogopogo.

Nash - January 13, 2008 09:35 AM (GMT)
*cough*

So, my friend imported this game the other day...

which made me rush over to his house to take a gander.

Two word. Simply. Amazing.

I never knew you could fall in love all over again with something you never lost love for, but if there ever was a case, this is it.

The game is beautiful, and even though I can't understand the dialog, I have played the game hundreds of times and remember ever nook and cranny of the original. I assume that will be able to guide me though the game with minor altercations.

Oh, he also let me borrow it. So I WILL be playing this game until completion and then when the American version comes out, I'll buy that one and play it how God intended us to play it.

IN ENGLISH!

(The Jpn VA for Kain is voiced by the same guy that VA Spike from Cowboy Bebop. If only they can get David Lucas to VA Kain...lol)

New image for the FF4 spin off game.

Apparently, you will be able to play as most of the old cast as well as Cecil and Rosa's son.

too bad it's on a freaking cell phone, and will probably never get ported over here.

Okay I've justed returned from a little errand I had to do, on my way I stopped by a game store asking for FFIV DS and the guy looks at me like I'm from another planet. I'm home and I googled the game's release date and its 22 of July not June.

That's one month from now!!

Nash - July 27, 2008 08:30 PM (GMT)
I have the English version now.

It's freaking glorious!
