Character Description:
Evander is a man with a bald cap on his head and long hair sweeping down to his shoulders from the sides of his head. Bags of wrinkles already cover his damaged eyes, however he is still as nimble as he was thirty years before. His face shows no sign of facial hair, not even any traces of stubble. He wears the traditional Matilda Red Knight uniform, but he lacks the purple cape Camus wears.
Biography:
Born to a miner and a cleaner, Evander Numitor was the fifth offspring of six children. However, instead of helping his father in the mines, he decided to work with his mother. She tutored him whilst they made the beds and cleaned the rooms of various inns and houses around the village. Because of this, his three elder brothers made fun of him for not showing bravery by going into the mines. Whenever Evander would spar with his brothers, he always ended up on the dirty ground, beaten to a pulp.
It was not uncommon of travelers to visit the resourceful Crom, and amongst these travelers was a warrior hired by the Crom miners to protect them from wild monsters in the deeper areas of the mines. This certain warrior took a special liking to Evander when he saw that he had been trying fruitlessly to overcome his brothers. He taught the boy how to wield a sword properly, how to move, anticipate, strike, and other fighting techniques. Eventually, the warrior was killed by a wild Unicombe before Evander could truly become a strong fighter himself.
However, Evander later found some books and diaries left for him by the warrior which helped him improve even more. Finally, at what his father called the age of manhood (18), Evander could finally defeat his brothers in friendly duels. He left home since then and lived in Two River City, where he upheld his cleaner's duties before enlisting in the Two River army and finally in the Red Knights of Matilda. He was chosen by Gorudo as Camus' personal guardian when he rose to Red Knight leader.
Personality:
Evander is very silent. He only speaks when spoken to. Even the harsh words of Gorudo or the recklessness of several young knights fail to enrage him to such a point where he would argue back. However, he is a very valuable asset to Camus in battle, and his Knight Rune grants him to be teleported in front of Camus whenever he would be in mortal danger.

He stood outside in the hallway, to the right of the door. His right arm was as straight as a flute. However, his left hand grasped the sheath of his beloved keepsake. It was good of Master Camus to ask for special permission for Evander to keep his own katana instead of turning towards a heavier Matilda sword. The old man might not have been an open and lavish person, but deep down he was indeed glad to be serving Camus.
Evander knew how sick his master was, and he was not going to allow anyone to visit him. He needed to finish his work quickly and rest if he was to wake up in good condition the next day. He knew that the day had already been bad enough as he saw a white knight hand over a large stack of papers to the sick red-haired man. Camus could only reply with a "thank you" and an attack of bacteria and germs.
Oh, how unfortunate it was of Camus not to have a Chimera Rune. Evander would have gladly taken the cold from Camus and allow his master to go to that peace conference thing that he dearly wanted to go to. For him, Evander would have even been crushed by the hammers of the Knightdom's blacksmiths if it would please Camus. However, today was not a day where Evander could grant happiness to his true liege. He would just have to wait for the doctor...
