Well general gameplay was a bit slower than before and going from lot to lot took a hell of a lot of time, so much so, that I managed to do all the dinner preparations inbetween lots. I also noticed that although I removed the Inseminator folder, due to the new download system in the game, it had duplicated in the downloads folder and therefore was still there in game. When I went on the beach there were 6 or 7 inseminators lined up there. I think I have removed it now for the next venture, although I might take the next venture without the download folder at all, to see if it is faster.

So here goes. When you get a flight from your home, it loads like the screen for going to another neighbourhood etc except has a picture of a plane (walking has a pic of someone walking). The flight appears to take a while longer and half way through you get a screen with a pic of the resort and you are asked to choose your destination. You can select that you will wait to decide on what accommodation you have until you arrive at your destination. THen it goes back to the flight screen. On arrival if you are checking into a hotel you can select and reserve your rooms first. Oh yeah forgot to mention if you don't already know you can take friends in your sim inventory with you up to 8 people can go.

I picked an expensive hotel which for 3 cost £1,900+ a night (luckily motherlode works on the resort)

Now someone on another forum mentioned this but for some reason we had hail on the first night, don't know if that is a glitch or if it is supposed to be like that. You must remember that hotel rooms with tvs on need to be switched off before your sims sleep, they do not automatically turn them off as they do at home.

Once you are on a vacation lot, the place you are staying is referred to as your home, so if you go out walking you return home and if you stay at a hotel, remember as in vacation (Sims 1), that you must check out before you leave.

You can order room service in your hotel room from the phone and it is served in your room and while out you can order food at counters and food stands. On arrival home, you will receive vacation benefits if you had a good time, that will last for a little while, ie things like being refreshed, carefree or productive, will give your sims a boost.

Anyway I will play more over the weekend and see what else I find out, here are some snapshots for you.

Clothes wise this has been the worst EP. I love that counter above, where the guy is cooking. It is an all in one object and you just sit there and order your food and he cooks it and serves you. I think that is cool.

Haven't had time to look all around, there are new empty lots specifically for the beach and the smallest one is 3x5 in size, so quite big, but that is so the back trails into the sea. There are a few more new objects, but not much that I think is really great. THere are now jewellry stands to add to your shops, oh and there is a cool sauna that comes in its own room that you can add to your home as an add on room or a separate outhouse, once you place it, it has its own walls. Well I still have to explore more, so will let you know and post pics as I do

Each resort serves different types of cuisine and in the eastern resorts, food comes with chopsticks (a nice little touch).

This was one of the evasive tour guides. The actual tours aren't seen, but something may come up on the screen in the form of a dilemma question, much like you get at work, or to tell you have found something whilst out walking or something like that. I found a map of a secret location whilst out walking. When I took the boat tour, I ended up getting the tour guide injured and had to pay his hospital bills (lol)

This does sound like one of the most interesting EP so far to me. The sauna sounds really cool.

I like the Twikkii Island best with Takemizu Village Next and Three Lakes Last. Definitely lots to do and have fun with but I find taking longer vacations (6-7 days) tiresome and I ended them early. I recommend taking medium (4-5 days) vacations as you did what you had planned but still want to go back and complete or even repeat things.

I'll post some pictures of my vacation(s) shortly. biggrin.gif

Sounds like you are enjoying the new ep Caroline. I definitely enjoy it and am glad they were able to get so much stuff in it. biggrin.gif

Sounds really cool........I have been on the Pirate Ship but I haven't gone and look for buried Treasure. Need to do that. So far while camping I did a lot of fun stuff but didn't meet a bigfoot yet.

Thanks for sharing with us. biggrin.gif
