I watched the episode again yesterday. I think it was a very great one! Danny made a mistake with the way he talked to the cabbie's son, but later he realised he was wrong and apologized. I also loved how Aiden told him it was wrong what he did. Also I love that they found out the cabbie wasn't a criminal or something but a hero.

Danny being this out of control was a real shock to me. We had never seen him act this way on a case before. The scene between the kid and them was awesome. I know he was trying to ask the 'hard questions' but there was a better way and it kept me wondering why he was acting like this. When we finally found out the reason, I felt sorry for Danny, but I'm glad he finally separated what happened to him and his dad, to what this driver was trying to do. Work the dangerous routes to provide for his family.

The scene in the holding cell was powerful. Thank god, Aiden was there, I bet he would have reached through those bars and strangled that guy if he could. On two side notes, this could be where Aiden's hatred of rapists comes in. And two, didn't anyone else find it nice that the stripper's name was Savannah? Being named after a city or state?

Now Mac and Stella's case, a dead commissioner who wrote up a report for the Dove Commission on dirty cops in the NYPD. First off, I didn't care for Flack in this episode, because of how he treated the reporter. Yeah, they are gossiping news hounds, but in this instance I was on the reporter's side. I couldn't believe it when I found out who the killer was. It was such a twist to say the least. But at least she doesn't have to be afraid of him or the police any longer.

Here is the holding scene Brina requested in the Dove Commission, enjoy! (sorry for the double post.)

Paul: I don’t know what you are talking about.

Danny: You know what? Do me a favor and just, just shut up. Save your song and dance, Paul. Because you’re DNA puts you both on the cab driver and Jamie Banks.

Paul: Who?

Aiden: The girl you tried to rape.

Danny: You actually watched her come home every night, didn’t you?

Aiden: But watching wasn’t enough for you, was it?

Danny: You almost got away with it too Paul. You did. But you didn’t plan on a Good Samaritan coming to her rescue, did you?

Paul: That gypsy scumbag should have stayed in his cab!

Danny: Fernando Reyes, he was just trying to help that woman alright, and we are just trying to help his family by doing our job. He has a kid at home, and you go and take an innocent life. Let me tell you something…you know those subways where you work? You’re gonna think one of those opened you up when they put you in that prison. You hear me?!

Aiden: Come on.

Danny: Huh!

Aiden: Come on. You alright?

Danny: I’m better now.

Aiden: Alright.

Danny: And for the record, that’s harsh.

Here is the link to this scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-K-EskZTmM&feature=related

3:23 minutes and seconds in.

I like harsh Danny in this eipsode. I also like that he goes to see the son afterwards and says sorry to him - that takes a really man to do that.

I know, he is so great in that scene with Fernando's son. I also love how he just had to get in the rapist face. He is so awesome when he gets out of control like that.

Totally agree with you. I always found it interesting to watch when Danny got a bit out of control (except one time, don't think I have to explain when). It's good to see he matured over the years and has more control over himself now. I think from all characters, he and Lindsay went through the most changes and it's very interesting to watch.

Back to this episode: I like how mad he got at the rapist. I could totally understand his reaction, I would have liked to smack that guy as well!

Great synopsis afrozenheart412

Harsh Danny is good. so it out of control Danny

I love Danny admitted is mistake to the taxi drivers son and said sorry. That took really guts and (to me at least) it is the mark of a real man.

That was one TV last night. ITA with you CDG, that fact he went to asee the son afterwards and said sorry says a lot about him.

I never saw season 1 in order until I got the DVDs and this was one of the first ones that I watched. When I saw Danny in this eipsode it was not long after The Inside Man eipsode and I was like - He is one hell of a cop!

I agree. He's someone who easily makes mistakes, but then again he knows when he was wrong and he's not afraid to admit it and apologize. This was an intense scene with the son of the cabbie. It was very well done!
